Episode 4

At the fox den in Qing Qiu, Bai Zhen - the Fourth Prince of the Former Fox King and Queen appeared out of thin air, walking up to Dijun and eyed the fox whom he knew as Feng Jiu in his lap, getting head pats as she slept.

"Welcome to Qing Qiu, Lord Dijun, I apologise that Queen Feng Jiu isn't here to welcome you" Bai Zhen said, loud enough for Feng Jiu to hear.

Feng Jiu's snout appeared above the edge of the table, looking at her uncle, her eyes widened as she slipped out of Dijun's arms and raced off into the forest.

Dijun, who nodded to Bai Zhen to acknowledge his presence watched as Feng Jiu raced from his lap before turning his attention to Bai Zhen.

Entering the peach forest, where her aunt loved to play before, during and after her Mortal trial to ascend to High Goddess, Feng Jiu transformed into her human form, falling to her knees on the ground.

Hand on her heart, Feng Jiu felt her heart thumping in her chest, she had no idea that her uncle was here.

'That was really close, will uncle tell Dijun that I was the fox he was holding?' Feng Jiu thought, asking herself in her mind as she wiped her forehead and closed her eyes.

Feng Jiu used her magic to transport herself into her fox den, she changed her clothes to a simple pink colour, as she took the tray holding the peach wine and two empty cups to outside where she found Dijun and Bai Zhen sitting.

Feng Jiu stopped beside the table and bowed her head slightly, before kneeling down and placed the tray on the ground, pouring the wine into two cups and offered it to the two men.

"Greetings Lord Dijun, greetings uncle" Feng Jiu said slightly blushing.

"Ah, so you finally show yourself? I have been looking for you" Dijun said as she looked at him.

"I apologise for the lateness" Feng Jiu said, handing him another full cup of peach wine, just as her uncle transformed her into her fox form.

Feng Jiu howled at her uncle angrily before Dijun picked her up.

'Why did he do that for?' Feng Jiu thought to herself before nestling into Dijun's warmth.

"Be good little fox" Dijun said to her and rubbed her nose, in which she closed her eyes with a happy sigh.

"You do know that the fox that your holding before is the Queen Feng Jiu?" Bai Zhen asked as Dijun looked at the fox in his arms, not fazed at all by the news he heard.

Bu as Feng Jiu heard what her uncle had just said, she pounced onto the table, knocking over Dijun's peach wine which spilt onto her paws.

Yelping, Feng Jiu fell off the table and fell onto her paws as she howled in pain as Dijun scooped her into his arms.

"I will take her back to the Heavenly Realm, please make sure all the things Feng Jiu needed to be done here is taken care of" Dijun said and vanished, taking the fox Queen with him, he appeared in his room in Taichen Palace.

He laid her on his bed, asking his maid to fetch some stuff to bind her paw. After cleaning her paw of peach wine, he wrapped her fox leg up before covering her with a blanket as he told her to rest and heal, she nodded her head and closed her eyes.

As he left, she fell asleep, dreaming of what her future would be like with Dijun.

As Dijun left her to rest and heal, he walked to the throne room to converse with the other gods as well as Empress Bai Qian and Emperor Ye Hua about the rumours of the Demon Clan wanting to build a rebellion to overthrow them.

But as the converse, he wasn't paying attention to them, all he could think about was the fox Queen sleeping in his bed while healing from her injury.

After their conversation to demand the Demon Clan to obey, Dijun went back to his Taichen Palace, which he would normally do when he had nothing to do. He saw that she was still sleeping, but now in her human form.

Arms thrown wildly on the bed, her legs tangled in his blanket, her head rested on his pillow as she slept.

Dijun saw her wrapped ankle before moving it under the blanket, moving it properly on her, he used his magic to help the wound on her leg heal faster.

He left again to let her sleep as Si Ming came to visit, this time he was with the Empress Bai Qian, saying she had an idea about the Demon Queen.

When Bai Qian saw her niece sleeping in his bed, she turned to look to Dijun, asking to speak to him in private.

"Why is my niece in your bed?" Bai Qian asked, glancing in her niece's way.

"She injured herself, so I am taking care of her" Dijun said. Bai Qian then said to him that her niece told her that she was maybe in love with him and he wasn't fazed by those words.

"If you don't like my niece, let her know now, please don't let her get her hopes up with you" Bai Qian before Dijun walked away from her.

Dijun didn't know whether he loved Feng Jiu, or if it was a feeling of a big brother to a little sister.

After they left, Dijun went to his bed and sat beside Feng Jiu, who turned in her sleep and wrapped her arm around his waist.

After her sleep, Feng Jiu woke up from her tireless sleep, she found herself lying beside Dijun, her arm around his waist and her head on his chest.

Blushing blood red, she moved away before Dijun took a hold of her wrist, stopping her, he kept her by his side with a smile.

"I apologise Lord Dijun" Feng Jiu said before he shushed her.

"Stay like this" he said and she did, happily and slowly moving her arm back around his waist.

Before long, she left his Palace to return to her own, after spending the day watching Dijun read his book. Never in her life had she felt so comfortable being around a man, but she knew she was getting way ahead of herself.

Cheng Yu, her best friend from the Heavenly Realm appeared behind her, tapped her friends shoulder as Feng Jiu yelped startled, she then turned around before interlocking her arm with her friends.

"What's wrong Feng Jiu?" she asked her friend, in which Feng Jiu told her the long story about what happened in Dijun's Palace.

"You've been in his Palace this whole time? No wonder I couldn't find you" Cheng Yu said and patted her friends hand with a smile.

"I just feel like something isn't right, he isn't displaying any emotion when he forced me to stay in his bed with him, but he is to cold to me?" Feng Jiu said.

"I also fell like I may have fallen in love with him" Feng Jiu added as her friend sighed.

"Feng Jiu, life is hard, for you and for everyone, falling in love is a part of nature, but so is heart break, some people are meant to be together like your aunt and Emperor Ye Hua and some aren't, like you and Lord Dijun" she explained.

"I want to think of a way for me to do a romance trial, but I have to have obligations to do it" Feng Jiu said to her friend who nodded as they walked back to Feng Jiu's Palace.
