Chapter 7-Mountain Range of Magical Beast
One year later.
Ernst was staying at the Huadeli hotel. He is preparing to head-out in the Mountain Range of Magical Beast for training. He is now ten years old with a height of 160 cm, lean body and handsome looks. Likewise, he is now checking all his items such as food, water, clothes, medicines, and equipment like the metal balls for his long-range attack. Ernst prepared thousands of metal balls for his travel, the size of metal ball is like a small marble with a one kilogram weight.
During the past year, he had accumulated many spells provided by his family. Ernst also pick up many attribute bubbles, he is now on the peak of 5th rank magus and peak 7th rank warrior. So staying in the campus will slow down his progress.
Ernst remembers when he killed magical beast in their family training ground, he got more attributes compared to the attribute drops by the guards after their training.
So, Ernst decided to leave before dawn. He already prepared a mask to cover his face. He did not notify his parents, but the institute and his dorm mates know that he will travel to the Mountain Range Magical Beast for training.
Before dawn, he quietly left the hotel. Outside the campus, Ernst runs to a secluded place to change his clothes. He dress into a black warrior suit, wears his mask then put his Blackshadow sword on his back. Ernst makes sure that no one is watching him, then run to the direction of the Mountain Range of Magical Beast.
Ernst travels in the rough road, traversing more fifty kilometers, he reached the outer perimeter of the mountain range.
The Mountain Range of Magical Beast was vast and boundless.
Within it, Ernst could see trees with different heights and age blocking his view. All sorts of various grasses and thorns are commonplace. Dry leaves in the land and weeds were everywhere.
Before anyone notices him, he cast a Wind-style magic spell 'Windscout' to know if there are ambushes Within the spell range, he knows that low level magical beast are present with one hundred fifty meters around him. Ernst runs inside the forest.
According to the original canon, the most dangerous in the Mountain Range of Magical Beast are humans and not magical beast. Humans will kill people because of their wealth.
Ernst runs about thirty kilometers before stopping, he climbs in the tall tree to take rest and eat. His heart is beating fast, feeling danger but also adventure. While resting, he observes his surroundings. One hundred meter from his front, there is a pack of Windwolves lurking. Eighty meters from his right are Earth Scorpions. On his left side, one hundred twenty-five meters are napping Five Unicorn Boars. Lastly, there are groups of Mighty Hyena far behind him. He neglects these low level magical beasts.
Ernst travel again. His target is to find a cave, where he can rest and will serve as his base. Along the way, he saw many dead magical beasts. Some of them are already rotting. He also saw many dead human adventurers, either killed by a magical beast or fellow human.
Before it gets dark, he found a cave hidden at the back of a waterfall. The space inside the cave were not very huge, at most it can fit ten people. Ernst takes out his sleeping bag, food, and water from interspatial ring. After eating and little rest, he sat and meditates to absorb elemental essence. Subsequently, he slept lightly. On his right hand was a sword ready to strike anytime.
"It's better to be ready than sorry later." He thought.
In the early morning, Ernst woke up and eat food. Today, he would fight and kill magic beasts. It's been two years since his last fight, and he is now itching for a big battle.
Ernst runs deeper into the forest. He is very vigilant around his surroundings. He saw a pack of Frostwolves near the lake. There is 6th rank alpha leader. There are fifty six-5th rank and the rest are 4th rank.
"Growl!"

Ernst was very excited and his blood boils. He runs to the group of Frostwolves while mentally casting Earth-style magic spell 'Earthguard Armor' A rock armor made of earth elemental essence form around him.
The pack of Frostwolves surrounds him. Ernst just smile. He draws his Blackshadow sword and mentally cast Earth-style magic spell 'Supergravity Field'. One hundred meters around, Ernst as the center, suddenly began to glow with earth elemental essence.
"Growl!"
All the Frostwolves charging at him began to slow down, while those in mid-leap collapse. Ernst did not waste any time, he used his sword to slash the Frostwolves one by one.
"Slash!" "Slash!" "Slash!" "Slash!"
As a peak 7th rank warrior, he is very fast. Although he is fast, he still hit by the ice blades.
"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"
Thankfully, his 'Earthguard Armor' can still hold on. The battle did not last long, and the alpha wolf was also beheaded.
Ernst is looking at the transparent attribute bubbles on the ground, and he smiles.

Suddenly, he feels something watching him.
Ernst mentally cast Wind-style magic spell 'Windscout'. Three hundred meters from him, there are two people hiding in the trees. He hurriedly mentally cast Wind-style magic spell 'Supersonic', his speed multiplied. He runs deeper into the woods without looking back.
Meanwhile, the two watching Ernst from afar were still shocked. One of them was a scary looking guy with a knife scar on his face, while the other one is a bald man.
If Ernst were here, he will know the identity of the two people. One of them is Douglas, their family chief guard. The other one is his father's bodyguard named Roger. Both of them are 8th rank warriors.
"Hey Douglas. It seems the young master has noticed us. I forgot to conceal my presence when the fight ended. I'm worried when I saw him charging at the wolf packs. Presently, I'm still shaking." Roger talked while shivering.
Douglas looked at him and nodded. "I, too, can't believe it either. I saw him grow up. This is incredible. Even, if I am an 8th rank warrior, it will be difficult to fight those wolf pack. If Lord James knows, he will be pleased."
"Let's go. Follow the young master. Let's keep a good distance, so he will not discover us." Roger shouted.
Ernst runs deeper into the forest. He did not stop until he feels that there is no one watching him anymore.
He heaved a deep sigh and thought. "That was close."
He climbs the tree and rest. He realized that's today's event is very dangerous. Thankfully, he did not let his guard down. After having enough rest, he continued to travel and fight magical beast.
On the way back to his cave, he noticed a young lady crying at her dead companions. Ernst approached her, but keep his distance. The young lady looked at him crying and begging eyes. "Big brother. Please help me. I'm alone and very terrified."
Ernst just sneered at her, he mentally cast Earth-style magic spell 'Earthen Spear Array'. The young lady got impaled by earthen spears rising from the ground.
"Aaaaaaaargh!"
The young lady let a painful cry. "Why?"
Ernst just looked at her with cold eyes. "Stop acting. I know what you are doing."
The young lady, though suffering, grits his teeth and asked. "How did you know?"
Ernst playfully looks at the young lady. "Your performance is superb, acting pitiable to lower my guard. How could someone with the courage to enter the Mountain Range of Magical Beast to cry pitifully, by the sight of death? You don't even have an injury on your body."
Upon hearing this, the young lady died unwillingly.
Ernst picked up her backpack. Inside the backpack, there are 105 magicite cores of the 4th rank, 65 magicite cores of the 5th rank and 14 magicite cores of the 6th rank.
Ernst looks at the dead bodies and left.
After Ernst left, two people showed on the scene. The two people look each other and smiled. "Young master has grown up.
