Chapter 40-Exploring the Necropolis of the Gods

Ernst's look at the transparent attribute bubbles in his interspatial ring and smiles. He was waiting for ten years to enter the Necropolis of the Gods for a chance to fight and collect attribute bubbles. Without further delay, he absorbs the attribute bubbles:

After recuperating for a while, War God O'Brien and Cesar injuries were already healed.

They are staying in a cave inside the volcano. The environment is very hot, but favorable for the practitioner's of the Laws of Fire.

Cesar breaks the silence inside the cave. He was very thankful for the assistance during the battle "Earlier was really dangerous, I hadn't experienced the feeling of death for a thousand of years. Without your help, I might really die."

"Don't mention it, Cesar, we are in the same situation. If we don't help each other, we won't survive for long." The High Priest said.

"The twelfth floor is dangerous enough, if we go higher, we will encounter more danger. We might face full Gods. The fifteen Demigods that attack us might just be a small group to a huge force in this floor." War God O'Brien said worriedly.

Dylin looks at his fellow Demigods and recalls his experience in the Gebados Planar Prison. He was like War God O'Brien when he and his sons first arrive at the prison, afraid of what will happen to him and his sons. He speaks seriously. "This place is just like Gebados Planar Prison where I was imprisoned for five thousand years, but the danger level is lower compared to what I had experienced. As long as we are careful, we can survive here."

Ernst's look at the four of them. He agreed to what Dylin said. He wants to aa avoid being a nanny and feel pity for them. This place is a good training ground to fight experts, but their attitude is opposite him. His goal is to fight, pick attribute bubbles, and gain more in-depth insights. So, it's best to separate with them early.

"Dylin is right, as long as you are careful and not greedy, you can survive here and find your chances. But for me, its different. I came here not to survive for ten years, but to train and fight experts. It is a rare chance to come to this place where experts gather and have a life and death battle with them. Ernst flew faraway from the cave where he left Dylin, High Priest, War God O'Brien and Cesar. He plans to explore the twelfth floor first and fight with other prisoners.

Suddenly.

A loud sound of sonic booms reverberated in the sky as a group of Demigods with twenty members approaches Ernst quickly.

Ernst look at the group of Demigods, two of them are familiar with him. They are the two Demigods who manage to escape from him.

"Boss Rufus, its him who killed our brothers with his four companions." The escapee Demigod said.

Rufus angrily glared at Ernst. He and his men are flying for hours searching for the culprit, who killed his subordinates. Now, they found the killer, he will torture his soul. As a practitioner of the Edict of Death, he likes to hear the screams of his enemies soul.

"So, you're the one who killed my men. Very good. No one dares to touch my men in this floor. You are the first and the last one. I will set you as an example for other forces to see the consequences of killing my subordinates. Men, capture him." Rufus orders while licking his lips.

Rufus was flabbergasted, and he did not know to reply. He just look blankly at Ernst and knows that he is in for a big trouble. "Lord, I'm just joking earlier. I don't really want to kill you, but my subordinates mislead me to kill you."

"So that's how it is. Tell me, how many Demigods are there in this floor?" Ernst ask casually.

Rufus was hesitant at first, but because of the fear of death, he told everything.. "There are more than one thousand Demigods in this floor. These Demigods are divided into different forces with one leader and hundreds of subordinates. Wars between these forces happens most of the time, usually the reason for wars was the distribution of resources."

"That's good to hear. You can leave now. If I see you again, I will kill you." Ernst said letting Rufus go.

Rufus hurriedly left for fear that Ernst might change his mind and decided to kill him.

"Hmmmm…So, over one thousand Demigods huh! I'll stay in this floor for a year, hunt Demigods and fuse Profound Mysteries in each Elemental Laws. But first, let's find a quiet place to stay and absorbs attribute bubbles. Ernst flew downward and made a tunnel underground.

Finishing the tunnel, he sat cross-leg and absorb the attribute bubbles he collected from his interspatial ring. After absorbing the bubbles, he felt his strength increase a little further while his understanding and fusion of profound mysteries got more deeper and easier.

Two years later, on an island of the thirteenth floor of the Necropolis of the Gods similar to the ninth floor, but instead of one island, is there are four islands on a vast sea. On each island, there are more or less than three hundred Demigods. The most powerful Demigod on each island is called, the Island Lord. The situation in the thirteenth floor is very chaotic, as war would erupt from time to time between the four islands. Each Island Lord wants to take the other three islands for their own. But due to their power was roughly on par with each other, the four Island Lord restrain and balance each other. They only send their subordinates to kill each other.

The stalemate of the four island was broken when a lone Demigod from the lower level arrives and massacres on the island nearest to the entrance of the twelfth floor. The battle only lasted less than ten minutes, more than three hundred Demigods including the Island Lord died in battle. There is no news after the battle and not even sending their subordinate to investigate what happen, fearing it might anger the attacker. Because of these, they strengthen their vigilance and guard their island just in case they are attack.

"Bang!"

A green-haired Demigod with muscular build was coughing fresh blood. He can only barely stand, using his spear to support himself. He looks angrily towards his attacker, his opponent appears one year ago and slaughtered all Demigods in the island nearest to the entrance to the twelfth floor. Then he vanished without a trace. Now after a year, he appears again in his island killing all his subordinates. He wants to say something, but a bluish lightning hit his head, wiping out his soul.

Ernst smiles as he collected the divine sparks, artifacts and interspatial rings. Aside from this, he pick up transparent attribute bubbles on the ground showing:

After the transformation of the divine spark finish, natural Law descended again for his other clones. The natural Law descended for a total of seven times in the thirteenth floor of the Necropolis of the Gods and one time in the Yulan continent for his fire clone.

After promoting to a full God, Ernst also manage to fused the Profound Mysteries in each Elemental Laws. Thanks to the attribute bubbles, fusing Profound Mysteries is fairly easy and the time to fuse them is also shortened. As of now, he already fused three Profound Mysteries in each Elemental Laws, they are:

Laws of the Earth - Essence of Earth, Strength and Throbbing Pulse of the World.

Laws of Fire - Essence of Fire, Flamebody and Heat.

Laws of the Wind - Essence of Wind, Music and Soundwaves.

Laws of Water - Essence of Water, Ice and Waterbody.

Laws of Lightning - Essence of Lightning, Judgement and Movement.

Laws of Light - Essence of Light, Lighspeed and Light Doppelganger.

Laws of Darkness - Essence of Darkness, Shadowshape Doppelganger and Evil.

Aside from the fused Profound Mysteries,

he also started to fused his insights in the

same Elemental Laws. Meanwhile,

Ernst was fusing his insights in the

Elemental Laws, the situation in the

Yulan continent is not peaceful. Half a year after Ernst and company enters the

Necropolis of the Gods, foreign experts

begins to appear one after another. The

Yulan Empire, O'Brien Empire and Baruch Kingdom halted their attacks towards

other territories because of the

appearance of these foreign experts.

Forces that do not have an expert in their

territory, now has powerful experts

backing them.

At present, a mysterious religion appears

out of nowhere outside the Dawson

Kingdom and hundreds of thousand of

people mysteriously died inside the city in

O'Brien Empire.
