Chapter 38-Undercurrents

The atmosphere in the back garden turns solemn as the six Demigods became silent and seems to be lost in thought. At the same time, the Saints were thinking about the reason for their silence.

After sometime, the six Demigods return to normal. Seeing everyone's questioning gaze, the Demigods did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Ernst knows what they were thinking, so he begins to explain. "Just now, War God O'Brien talk to us mentally. He and the High Priest invited us to go to War God Mountain to discuss how to divide the continent equally. The High Priest and War God O'Brien join forces to wage war around the continent. They think, there are too many nations and religion in the continent, so they want to destroy these forces without a Deity supporting them."

The Saints around the table are all shocked as they digest Ernst words, the more they think, the more they are puzzled. Why did the High Priest and War God only discuss how to divide the continent now? Why not do it in the past?

Zassler was silent for a long time, but he can't stop his curiosity. "Why did the High Priest and War God decided to drag it for too long instead of starting it long ago? I think they can join forces and divide the continent equally for themselves."

After some thinking, Roger answer Zassler's questions. "It's very simple, at that time, Dylin had not yet arrived at the Yulan continent, Cesar, young master and the five of us hadn't made a breakthrough to Deity yet. The two of them are enemies, so how can they join forces."

Ernst smiles at them. "I'm just laughing at High Priest and War God. They are always meditating and rarely leaves their empire. They don't even know what's happening outside their territory."

"Young master, what's happening outside that even High Priest and War God needs to pay their attention. Is it related to their empires?" Andrea asks calmly.

"Yes, it is related to their empires. When they enter the Necropolis of the Gods later, some Deities might take over their empires. When they return, they are in for a big surprise. I'm sure, it will be funny to watch their faces after knowing they lost their empires." Ernst said.

"Ernst little darling, you said some Deities will take over the Yulan Empire and O'Brien Empire. Is it us? Are you interested in their their territories?" Sarah jokingly asked.

Ernst shook his head. "It's not us, and I'm not interested in their territories. What I mean is, foreign Deities. About three years ago, when you were still inside the Necropolis of the Gods, many Deities arrive in the Yulan continent with their minions. They are waiting for High Priest, War God, Dylin, Cesar and I to leave the Yulan continent and enter the Necropolis of the Gods. Because there are additional five Deities in the Yulan continent, they might change their plans and are now hiding and waiting for a chance to take over territories. Their weakest minions are at the Prime Saint level. So, you have to be careful when dealing with them if they intended to conquer our territory."

The humans and magical beast Saints are silent and nervous after hearing about the foreign Demigods hiding around the continent.

"Young master, where do you think these foreign Deities came from?" Steward Greg curiously ask.

Te others also interested in the answer, so they want to listen attentively as they wait for Ernst reply.

Before Ernst answer Steward Greg's question. He first looked toward his parents, Douglas, Roger, Anna, Nadia and the rest of the magical beast Saints, then he smiles. "You all know where they came from, but you have no idea about it that time. When we are training in the Foggy Valley in the past, we stayed inside the cave near the entrance of the small hill. But deep inside the cave where the Armored Razorback Wyrm resides, there is a hidden magical formation. This magical formation is the source of the huge elemental essence coming from the cave that we absorbs in the past. The magical formation together with a sword divine artifact is used to seal a weak point between the Yulan continent and the Gebados Planar Prison."

"Thirty five years ago, an idiot accidentally entered the cave in the Foggy Valley after being chased by hundreds of 8th rank Firedragons and Emerald dragons. Inside the cave, he witnessed the battle between the Armored Razorback Wyrm and his mortal enemy, the Saint-level Violet-Tattooed Bear. After the battle, the magic formation was exposed. That idiot, grabs the sword divine artifact from the magic formation to be his weapon. After a few days, Dylin and his three sons escapes through the magic formation. This was the reason l the 'Apocalypse' happens thirty-four years ago."

"After a long time, the magic formation without the sword divine artifact to power it, becomes weaker and weaker while more Saints and Deities escape from their."

Ernst stop talking to let them digest the information's he just revealed.

Anna was furious about what happen to their previous home during the 'Apocalypse', so she asks her brother. "Brother, who was that idiot who took out the sword from the magic formation?"

Ernst raised his eyebrows and look playfully at his sister and the new five Demigods. "You all know him, even chatted with him in the Necropolis of the Gods. It was Linley."

"So, it's him who caused the 'Apocalypse' thirty-four years ago." Anna angrily said. She had so many good memories in their previous home. She and and her brother were born and grew up happily there.

James, Sarah, Douglas, Roger, Steward Greg, and Andrea also shows anger in their eyes. In the past, they hurriedly relocated to O'Brien Empire to avoid the beast tide. If they didn't know in advance that beast tide is coming, they might be already dead.

"Don't dwell it for too much. He will pay for his greed in the future. For now, don't make a move against him. His magical beast companion is the grandson of Lord Beirut. If you move against him now, Lord Beirut will save him as repayment for taking care of his grandson for many years. That's why other Demigods such as High Priest and War God O'Brien choose to assist and make friends with him. The Yulan Empire, O'Brien Empire and Baruch Kingdom will join forces in the incoming war."

"Right now, let's distribute the divine sparks first." Ernst said.

James flips his hand and three Demigod sparks appear and floated in midair. "These Demigod sparks are fire-style, destruction-style and darkness-style. If you don't have a confidence in becoming a Deity with your own effort, you can fuse with this divine sparks. Let me warn you, once you fused with the divine sparks, you can never train in another Laws."

Every Saint in the meeting gulps, they felt their throat becomes dry. They stared at the divine sparks with interest, especially the magical beast Saints. They only became Saints with the help of the Saint-level magicite cores. Some feel sad, because there are only three divine sparks and don't match with the elements they were training.

"For those who desires to fuse divine sparks, but no divine sparks suitable for them at present. Don't worry, when I return from the Necropolis of the Gods, I might bring divine sparks for all of you." Ernst console the Saints in the meeting room.

After hearing Ernst, the Saints finally heave of relief and felt happy.

James smiles seeing their reaction. He begins to distribute the divine sparks. "Brad, drop your blood to the fire-style divine spark and fuse it."

Firedragon Brad becomes agitated and received the divine spark that flew towards him. He happily grabs the divine spark with care as if it was the most important treasure. "Thank you, master." He immediately drops his blood in the divine spark and fuse it with himself.

James wave his hand, the darkness-style divine spark flew towards Dragoncat Alger. "Alger, drop your blood and fuse with it."

"Thank you, Lord." Alger said happily.

"There is no one here who trains in the Edict of Destruction aside from Ernst. I will keep for a while until someone needs it." Sarah said as she put the destruction-style divine sparks in her interspatial ring.

Ernst looks toward Zassler, Rebecca and Leena and said. "You don't have to worry about the Radiant Church anymore. In three days, you will receive news about their headquarters in Sacred Isle was destroyed by a group of powerful Saints. All the Saints in the Radiant Church will also be killed in battle. This signals that Yulan Empire, O'Brien Empire and Baruch Kingdom will start the war to destroy various forces in the continent."

Zassler, Rebecca, and Leena were happy about the news regarding the demised of the Radiant Church in three days. They have a deep hatred towards the Radiant Church from long time ago. Someone finally takes revenge for their grievances towards the church. "Thank you young master for informing us."

"Do you want to participate in the destruction of the Radiant Church? I can arrange you guys in the attack group." Ernst ask Zassler, Rebecca, and Leena.

Zassler, Rebecca, and Leena look towards each other and smiles. They no longer desire to participate in a battle against the Radiant Church. Since someone will destroy it for them, they don't need to dirty their hands against those scums. Zassler smiles creepily. "Young master, you don't have to arrange us in the attack group. We are happy that someone will destroy the Radiant Church, and we don't have to dirty our hands for killing them."

At night. Two days later. The magical formation ripples inside the cave in the Foggy Valley. Eight powerful people suddenly appears.

"We finally escape in that hellish place." A half beast and half humanoid said.

"It's good to be back. I'm going to enjoy myself in this mortal world." A human figure said.

"I'm not interested in this staying in this world. I will go to the Higher Planes. Let's meet again if you go there too. Goodbye everyone." A goat-head individual hurriedly left and went to the direction of the Arctic Icecaps.

"The elemental essence in this world is rich. I will conquer a territory and enjoy beauties, hahahahaha." Another human powerhouse said.

One day later, the news about the destruction of the Radiant Church spread among the upper echelons of each forces in the continent. They all felt that the world is about to change.
