Chapter 14-Beginning of the Apocalypse

Upon returning to Fenlai City, everything looks normal. There is no harassment on the Dawson household from the Radiant Church and Cult of Shadows. Since there is no evidence pointing Ernst as the culprit for the death of their people, they stop temporarily.

The people of the Dawson mansion celebrates the return of the family. At night a feast is held by the family, making the servants and guards feels gratitude to their masters. After the feast ended, James gives gold coins as reward for their servants and guards.

After a week of staying at Fenlai City, Ernst left again to travel around with Nadia. The master and magical beast visits places outside the Fenlai Kingdom. Ernst tasted every delicacy along the way and meets people.

Ernst turns seventeen while traveling for a few months. During his travels, Ernst meets his cousin Yale. Yale boasts the achievement of his brother Linley, being a third youngest magus in the history of Yulan Continent and a master sculptor.

Linley was conferred as a Marquis and given a large mansion in Fenlai City by King Clayde of Fenlai Kingdom. Yale narrates his brother experiences at the Mountain Range of Magical Beast and finding a sword artifact.

Ernst listen attentively, he summarizes the clues and come to a conclusion that the apocalypse will arrive in seven months. Since it will be seven months from year 9999 to year 10000 of Yulan Calendar, the apocalypse might happen like the original canon.

Ernst doesn't know how much he had to change in the original story that cause butterfly effects. After speaking with his cousin for a long time, Ernst travels with Nadia to Foggy Valley. He wants to verify if the beast's tide will still happen.

Arriving at the Foggy Valley, Ernst, and Nadia noticed a big difference since their last visits. The quantity of magical beasts were reducd a lot. The flying Firedagons and Emerald dragons were missing.

"Nadia, can you translate what those magical beasts are saying?"

"Roaaaar!"

"Yes master." Nadia listened to the roars of the magical in the distance.

"Master, according to these magical beasts, there are three Saint-level Six-Eyed Golden Ni-Lion that suddenly appeared three months ago and devoured the big dragons. "When Nadia and I returned to the Foggy Valley, the hundreds of giant dragons that we usually sparred are not there anymore. According to the magical beast that survives, the giant dragons were devoured by three Saint-level Six-Eyed Golden Ni-Lion. Ernst boarded on Nadia's back and moved out immediately from the outer region of the Mountain Range of Magical Beast. He cast Wind-style magic spell 'Windshadow' to increase their speed. They have arrived after flying for ten hours.

Returning to Ernst Institute, he hastily looks for his cousin, Yale. When he saw his cousin, he looks distress and worried.

"Cousin, what's the problem?"

Yale did not hide anything to him and tell that his third bother Linley will be executed on the day of the Yulan festival. Ernst consoles his cousin and glance at him seriously.

Yale stands suddenly upon hearing this. He is astonished and afraid. Ernst did not let him talk and continued speaking.

The magical beast tide heading to the Fenlai Kingdom will arrive in two days. I want you to use the influence of Dawson Conglomerate to warn everyone and leave the Kingdom. In the distance hundreds of thousands of magical beast such as Windwolves, Horned Beast, Blackbears, Wyrms and flying magical beast such Thunderwings Pegasi, Golden Sunhawks, Blue Eyed Thunderhawks, Dragonhawks as well as various dragons.

Seeing such numerous magical beast, the students, and instructors of Ernst Institute panics.

"We are going to die."

"I should evacuate with others."

"I don't want to die."

"Mommy."

Hearing the student cries, Ernst knows this will happen. He cast Earth-style magic spell 'Howling Worldwolf'. "Nadia, prepare to fight. Kill as many as you can."

Because of so many magical beasts, many have pass Ernst. Thankfully, they are killed by the students and instructors guarding the Ernst Institute.

"Continue fighting. Don't let any magical beast ruin our campus."

Sonic booms rung the entire battlefield as magical beasts were harvested like wheat.

The crushed stones are no more. Ernst charges at the magical beast. He cast Wind-style magic spell 'Windshadow' to boosts his speed. He runs very fast, people only see a blur. Ernst uses his fist and kicks to fight.

"Baaam!" "Baaam!" "Baaam!" "Baaam!"

With his every hit, magical beasts instantly die. His body alone is comparable to Demigod artifact, his body is the best weapon for this battle. He can punch fifty times per second in each hand. He becomes a death god in the battlefield, harvesting lives.

Due to the massive quantity of magical beast, it seems they are not decreasing. Many are moving in different directions. Ernst, Nadia, and the Howling Worldwolf already killed tens of thousands of magical beast.

Ernst runs around the battlefield casting Earth-style magic spell 'Shattered Rocks' continuously, as hundreds of boulders kills many magical beasts.

On the side of the Ernst Institute, Students and instructors fight side by side. They already suffered some casualties. Suddenly, a high pitch roar coming Fenlai City is heard.

"Roaaaar!"

The magical beast in front of Ernst Institute seems to have received an order from Saint-level magical beast. They divide themselves into two groups. The 8th and below rank magical beast proceeds to the direction of Fenlai City, while hundreds of 9th rank magical beast stay behind to eradicate the people in the institute.

Not only that, but they are too naive to think they can stop the beast's tide.

Seeing the escaping students and instructors, Ernst smiled and went to Nadia's side.

"Nadia, can you still fight?"
