Talking to him about Rick

Abha checked the call and noticed it was a different and unknown number. "Sorry for talking nonsense."

The person on the other side chuckled and with a hoarse voice spoke, "Oh!! maybe I called at the wrong time. But why is my sister so angry?"

Hearing the voice her sleepiness vanished and she sat up straight on the bed, "Brother Rick...you finally remembered me. Where are you? How are you and sister Tia? Why did you ask for a transfer to Ofger? Why didn't you tell me anything? How can you be cruel to leave me alone here?" A few drops of tears start to fall down from her eyes.

Rick listened to the complaint silently. After Abha was quiet he spoke, "Then you know. It's good too. I don't have to feel guilty about hiding it from you. The mission and reason I am here are dangerous so I didn't wank to risk your life too. I know you are being a crybaby, wipe out your tears. And don't worry about us, we are good."

"How could you decide about me without asking me? But brother we had promised each other that we will be there for each other. You could have taken me with you." Abha cried out loud.

"I know if you knew you would follow along with me so I kept it a secret. Take care. I will call you later. " the call was disconnected. Abha checked her phone but there wasn't the number in the call history as if speaking with Rick was an illusion. She could only wait for the next call.

She couldn't sleep after the call so she wanted to go for an early morning jogging. She got ready in her sweat pants and windbreaker. When she was about to reach the front door she heard a creaking sound from the opposite door and Jay walked in front of her.

"Are you going jogging? Why don't I join you?" Jay asked.

"Okay, let's go." Abha tried to wear her sports shoes but the knot on her shoelace didn't loosen. She became irritated because of it.

"What happened...Give me I will help you. See this is easy, you lift your feet, I will help you to put them on." Jay helped Abha wear the shoes. It was the first time she was helped to wear shoes.

She was being emotional due to his action and missing Rick a lot. Her eyes were turning red, so hiding her face she walked before Jay could stand up.

"Let's move" She didn't turn back.

Jay followed behind her quietly and allowed Abha to lead him. Walking in the same way they reached a nearby park. Abha sat on the bench and Jay sat beside her.

"Are you unwell? You can talk with me, you know that-" Jay tried to know about her.

"I am fine. I had a talk with Rick early morning so I remembered the past." She tried to smile but look worst.

Jay abruptly stood up and faced Abha," Who is Rick and what past?" voice turning a little cold.

"Oh!! I haven't said you about him...how could I forget to introduce you to the important person in my life and my best friend." Abha didn't notice Jay's face turning dark. She continued...

"He left me alone and fled away with sister Tia. Can't he take me with him?" she closed her eyes as her eyes were starting to be watery.

"If he took away would you have gone with him and left me?" Jay asked in a small voice.

Abha opened her eyes," Oh yeah I didn't think of it. Maybe because of you my brother didn't take me. He only took his wife. He is so sly. I know what he will tell me later--" Abha was speaking but Jay didn't listen. He was muttering a word...brother...

"Hey, Jay are you listening to me." Abha waved her hands in front of Jay.

"Did you just tell Rick is your brother?"

"Of course my bro... my only remaining family. My best friend and my guardian" She replied with a smile. Jay had turned normal so she hadn't noticed his previous dark face.

After the talk, they interacted with some members of their community and building and returned back to the apartment. After having her breakfast she went to see her patient - the deputy mayor.

The housekeeper of the patient's mansion was waiting at the gate. Seeing Abha he bowed and asked her to follow him. He was leading a different route than the patient room.

"Where are we going? this the not the way to my patient room" she asked curiously.

"Oh, yes Miss Abha. Sir and mam want to meet you before you see the young master." the housekeeper replied courteously.

Abha was quiet all the way until reaching a big living room or should I say a hall. A middle-aged woman rushed towards her and held her right hand. She seemed excited with her twinkling eyes. The woman resembled the deputy mayor. Maybe she is the one to give him birth. The man reached the woman and tapped on her shoulder.

Finally, Abha's hands were free." Sorry, Miss Abha, I overreacted. I never thought you were so young but so skilled. My son had slept after so many days..."

"No need for the compliment Mam. It is my duty." Abha smiles awkwardly.

Then the man spoke," Don't mind my wife's behavior. She is very possessive towards her son. Please help my son out as he has a lot of responsibilities and the opposition are pressuring him now. I will count on you. I hope we will have happy co-operation."

"Don't worry Mr. Lu I will do my best."

"Housekeeper take her to my son's room." Mr. Lu instructed.

"No need to go to his room, bring him to the garden outside. Say him I have some talk with him." Abha demanded.

"Sure miss but first let me lead you to the garden."

Abha was looking at the beautiful and colorful garden a voice came from her back.

"Do you like the garden? Why did you call me out?" the patient spoke.

"We will do your therapy session here. The environment is good than your dark room" she replied not turning back.

"As you wish doctor".....

After the session ended she packed her bag and was about to leave." Miss Abha have you thought about what I said before about 24/7"

"Sorry, I can't."

The couple came to see their son as they heard the conversation so they asked for a favor from Abha to treat him as much as she could and fast as possible. She understood their situation so she agreed at last but told them that she will return back at night.

" No problem, our chauffer will send you back and even pick you up."

She compromised as she got a favor to ask for them in time of need. Who knows if she will need it in the nearest future. Abha texted Jay about her late arrival.

The whole day she got busy and at the night the chauffeur dropped her near her apartment. She didn't like people to know about her place. It was her private place.

Getting out of the car she saw a familiar face standing opposite the road.
