Hurting her without knowing

Before Jay could call her, she woke from her sleep. She heard light music in the living room, so she walked towards it. The TV was on and Jay was in the kitchen.

As she didn't want to watch tv so she walked toward the kitchen.

"What are you preparing? Let me help you. Don't refuse my help. And yeah you have to teach me to cook too." Abha spoke standing by his side and chewing the salad that Jay was cutting.

"You woke even before I could wake you up. I had planned to give you a surprise dinner but appears to be failed." Jay tried to act sad.

"Then I will continue to sleep, you prepare your surprise alone. That way it won't fail" She acted to walk away.

"I had changed my mind and wanted to teach you but...go-go continue your sleep" Jay acted smugly.

"Really-really. Please teach me, Teacher." Abha returned back and tried to act cute by clasping her hand together.

"I didn't know you could act cute too. Okay, today you do all work in the kitchen and I will sit and only instruct you." he left whatever he was doing and dragged a chair and sat.

With his instruction, Abha prepared the dinner. It was good than she used to cook before.

"Not bad for the first try, if you learn more from a master like me you can cook well too." he tried to boast about himself.

"Then teach me whenever we both are free." she smiled.

"What will I get for investing my time to teach you?" Jay questioned.

"I will not stay for the night over in my patient's house. If you wish you can fetch me too. In that case, I can taste the food you cook. What do you say?" She said with a smile.

"Why do I feel that's not to my advantage but yours. Anyways it's ok." He wasn't smiling or showing happiness but his eyes were shining.

"And yeah how will you fetch me?"

"I won't tell you how. Wait for tomorrow. For morning, call the chauffeur as usual." Jay said cleaning the table and bringing the used utensils to wash. Abha tried to help him but he told her to rest as she had done her part of the work, cooking.

After their dinner, both sat on the sofa and decided to watch a movie together. Abha wanted to watch a comedy but Jay wanted an action one. Later both compromised to watch a horror one. Both watched without being afraid as both didn't believe in unnatural occurrences. But in the end, Abha fell asleep on the sofa.

When Jay saw she had slept he brought a pillow and blanket to cover her, adjust her position, closed the movie, and went to his room.

Later at night, the weather suddenly changed with a violent outbreak of thunder and lightning unaccompanied by a strong wind. The power cut was at the same time. Maybe due to her traumas and life experiences Abha was a bit afraid of darkness and the weather made it even worse.

Who could sleep in such a condition? When she noticed she wasn't in her room but in the living room, she got panicked. Neither did she have light with her. For a few minutes, she had forgotten Jay was still in his room. When she tried to reach her room to find her phone, the sound of thunder made her numb to move forward. At that time she was near the room of Jay.

Then she heard a scream"NOO..." From Jay's room and then realized she wasn't alone which helped her to calm down. She went to her room and first brought her phone and then knocked on the door with no response back. Using the hairpin she had on her hair, she opened the room and entered.

Jay was mumbling something even Abha couldn't understand clearly but it was something like order and commands. She thought he was having a nightmare so she went near the bed with help of mobile light.

She was about to pat his shoulder but suddenly Jay stood up straight, caught Abha's arms, and flipped Abha back on the floor. He was clutching her neck. For a second Abha's mind was black as the process was so fast before she could react. She was short of breath so she realized her reality. Jay's aura was much stronger than the time he was awake.

Until now Jay's eyes were closed. She knew he was subconscious so she hit him hard on his lower jaws and kicked his crotch. Due to the pain, he retracted and opened his eyes. He noticed the environment and saw Abha choking on the floor.

"Why happened Abha and why are you in my room?" Instead of noticing his action, he questioned Abha.

As a doctor, Abha knew that was his reflex reaction which was merged in his head. He didn't know his action just now. So she didn't point out the topic but calmed her mind.

She couldn't speak so she indicated with her hand that she need water. At her request, Jay brought a glass of water and Abha drank the whole. She normalized her breath but even to sit it was difficult for her.

"Help me to the living room first."

Abha with help of Jay sat on the sofa.

"Ahh...how could you use force against a weak girl like me? Ahh...bring the medical kit from my drawer." Abha said irritatedly.

Without a word, Jay brought a kit and Abha took a painkiller and tended her bruises.

" You and weak...if so why am I feeling pain in my lower region and jaws," Jay questioned while rolling his eyes.

"Don't you remember anything? You were having a nightmare....." Abha told him, all in detail.

"Oh sorry for that. But I don't remember anything. Show me your bruises on your back I will help you." Jay said in a low voice.

"Jay, men, and women should keep a distance. So leave it." tried to act upright.

"But you are hurt because of me. In the eye of a doctor, there is no gender and you are a patient here." Trying to console.

"Okay --" she didn't continue speaking but was lost in her thoughts.

"Ahh...do it slowly you are increasing my pain--"

"Sorry, sorry--"

Once again after that incident, the only sound of thunder could be heard as both were in their own room. Both couldn't sleep as they were lost in their thoughts about the incident but with different perspectives.

Jay was surprised by his own action whereas Abha was doubting his identity. She wanted to know more about him.
