Holding his arm

From the ground floor, Abha could see that the lights were off. She was afraid thinking Jayden had left. She was praying to God that her thoughts had to be wrong all the way until she reached the door of her apartment.

Opening the door and turning the lights on, Abha saw Jayden on the sofa with his eyes closed. She was so happy that her thought was false that she run towards him and held his arm tightly. He abruptly opened his eyes and Abha continued to look into Jayden eyes. Jayden couldn't see her eyes because of the glasses.

"How long will you hold my arms?" Jayden asked raising his eyebrows.

Breaking his arms free she spoke," Oh!! Sorry I didn't notice that without your permission I hold your arms. All lights were off so I thought maybe you left..."

He flicked Abha's forehead with his finger," What nonsense is in your mind. I wanted to stay in the dark so I turned all lights off. And now I just want have a glass of cold water from the kitchen then you can continue to hold my arms." Jayden started to tease her.

Her earlobes and cheeks turned red that she hurriedly went into her room and closed her door. She sat with her back on the door. Her heartbeat was beating very fast. She tried to calm herself and decided to take a bath. After her bath, she lay on her bed and looked towards the ceiling.

She felt as if Jayden was changing his behavior. The innocent Jayden had turned into a fox. She could still remember some incident a few days ago. He had started to make breakfast and lunch for her. He could cook better than her, first, she thought he wanted to try something to do in the house so she ignored him but slowly he didn't let Abha enter the kitchen. He began to take care of her diet and household chores. He was acting extra careful and attentive with her. He even tried to tease her.

Abha wasn't lazy but she was very busy so she couldn't clean her rooms regularly. Anyway, it worked for her. But she had noticed that Jayden was a clean freak. He was very careful of the sanitation and cleanliness.

Some people's behavior is merged in their minds as it remains subconsciously in their minds but acts as a reflex. Jayden showed some action as his dining etiquette and cleanliness as a reflex reaction. His strong aura had lessened around Abha.

'Who on earth is he? Is he high above then my reach? how was his past?' was on Abha's mind.

As she was lost in thought, she heard a voice out from the room.

"Abha, did you have dinner? If you haven't let's eat together...I will heat it okay?"

"Okay. I will be soon" she went to the dining table as Jayden was busing making the food ready. She wanted to help but he asked to sit quietly on the chair. So she waited. Both of them had their dinner in silence.

After their food, both sat in the living room and watched television. Suddenly the building had a power cut. Jayden tried to search his phone to light it but Abha spoke," Let it be for a while, let's have a talk."

"Sure, I also have something to talk to you too." Jayden sat back in his seat.

"I have a new patient for physiotherapy. I didn't want to start soon but my professor had asked a favor and I couldn't deny it. I can't disclose the patient's identity. Maybe I will be late too. Don't wait for me at late night." Abha spoke messaging her forehead.

"That's good. You can't slack in your work...Abha, I got a job--"

"Are you leaving" she abruptly stood up.

"Sit down and listened to me first. I won't leave. As you have told me I didn't apply anywhere for the job but this building management team needed an accountant. I had helped them a few times so they provide an opportunity for me. What do you think I should do?" he turned serious.

"That will be a good choice Jayden. Ahh...from today let me call you only Jay, okay? Only I call you Jay-"

"Jay...good name. Okay, it's only booked for you. You have only the special privilege to call me that Mam." Jayden bowed his head a little. The power came back.

"Will you be fine with the work, Jay? If you ever feel you aren't okay with the work, leave it. At least I can support you until you are fine. Later you do support me." Abha smiled a little but continued to rub her forehead.

"Oh... it's okay. Do you have a headache?"

"Yeah, a bit." She didn't lie.

"Then let me massage your forehead. maybe you would feel it good" Jay stood from his seat and stood at the back of Abha.

"Okay. I will act as a mannequin for you to try your massage." she laughed lightly.

With Jay's finger on her forehead Abha could feel his touch, her body was acting strangely like her body was on fire and ants were crawling on her body. She endured the feeling. At first, the massage was slow but later it turned a bit faster. He put the appropriate pressure on her head.

Due to his touch, her earlobes and face were turning red like an apple. Seeing those Jay decided to tease Abha.

"Why is your face red? Are you having a fever? Do I need to call a doctor?" he asked with an innocent face.

"NO, I am fine. Now I am better. I will rest as I need to leave early in the morning. You rest too." Abha hurriedly slipped into her room. She decided to stop her thought and rest.

Early in the morning, she woke by the phone call. As the sky haven't even brightened she was irritated with the call but still picked it up.

"Abha, right? You made me sleep...how could you do that? No one could make me sleep as I always have insomnia. I know I shouldn't have called you early morning. But I can't control my curiosity. Can you please come here soon?" The excited voice could be heard.

"You have a bad temper so who wants to treat you? I injected some sleeping medicine because I couldn't observe you're bad-tempered. I also don't want to treat you either." Abha replied.

"No, no I will cooperate with the medication and therapy. Please help me out, miss Abha. When will you come? Should I send a chauffeur? stay in my house and stay by my side 24/7 until I am fine--" the man on the other side of the call spoke.

"Are you crazy? Wait for at least the sunrise and have a good talk. Now don't disturb my sleep." she cut the call and continued her sleep. It was the call from her newest patient.

She was trying to sleep but the phone rang again. She angrily picked up her phone and spoke" Hello. Mr don't disturb my sleep otherwise I will make you feel pain as hell. Don't you understand what I said or do I have to explain its meaning?"

The other sound of the call was silent and coughed lightly.
