Chapter - 49

Anastasia felt the massive power of the God clash against hers, it was strong...but it was holding back...she started to wonder why the Honkai God would do such thing...but then she saw Sirin's body starting to melt apart due to the massive energy...unfortunately, due to this lack of focus, the Honkai God managed to summon a spear and stab it between her neck and the armor, Anastasia had tried to stop it with her vectors but it was to no avail, that lance was launched with too much power.

This action sent the Empress crashing against the tower and going through it before creating a crater on the ground. The Babylon tower started falling on itself, causing Cecilia to grab Theresa and jump down to safety along with Siegfried.

The Empress quickly got up and removed the lance from the base of her neck...she was breathing heavily but the nanomachines and the blacklight were already healing her. The Honkai God blurred in front of her already swing her sword, Anastasia quickly blocked the blade with her before channeling her psychic powers in her lightning claw and fired a stream of lightning bolts at the God who blocked them with her free hand although the action started to melt off her arm.

Anastasia pushed away the Honkai energy sword and then used her claws once again but not to launch another psychic attack but to punch with all of her strength her enemy. It was the turn of the God to crash on the ground wounded. The body of her Herrscher was slowly crumbling apart.

Suddenly, to Anastasia's horror, Cecilia, Theresa, and Siegfried jumped on the wounded God thinking that now was their chance...they were wrong. Before Anastasia could close the distance between her and her enemy, the Honkai God electrocuted Siegfried, used gravity to throw Theresa against a boulder created by the crashlanding, breaking most of her bones. The Only one left was Cecilia who had used her weapon to block the lightings and as support in order to not be pulled by the God's gravity, the Valkyries infused her weapon with her own blood and launched it towards the Honkai's will...who simply blocked it with her hand.

Cecilia widened her eyes but before she could react, two spears stabbed themselves in her, one in her belly, one in her chest. She fell on her knees as blood started tainting her clothes and to drip out of her mouth, she threw a lock at Anastasia before falling on the ground.

A warcry boomed all across the battlefield as Anastasia launched herself once again against the Honkai God, this time, she let her psychic power run unchecked, rage, and hatred filling her being. The two started exchanging blows, each hit violently shook all the area around them, it felt like the Earth was about to crack. Finally, Anastasia felt her strength overpowering the one of her opponent's and so she reached out with her clawed hand and ripped off one of the arms of the Honkai before ramming her sword into its belly.

Everything stopped...the wind that was devastating the area disappeared along with the warp storm and the earth stopped shaking. The Honkai God looked down at its wound and smirked

"Return" Anastasia hissed with unseen rage "To the immaterium...scum!" she then shouted before banishing her opponent back from where it came from...

The Empress was completely exhausted from the fight, she never thought that she would have to fight the Honkai God so soon even though it was just a possessed body, if this was a fight against its real form, she would have lost...but she won but it was not over.

Anastasia turned around and immediately rushed to help Cecilia and the others, she used her vectors to heal Siegfried and Theresa but Cecilia was the one in worst possible conditions. She removed the lances stabbed in her body and closed the wounds but for some reason, she wasn't getting better no matter how much psychic energy was put into them...then she realized that Cecilia's body was being corrupted by the Honkai Energy.

Theresa and Siegfried immediately woke up as soon as they were healed, their eyes looked for the Honkai God and were relieved to see its corpse on the ground until they saw Anastasia trying to reanimate Cecilia. They immediately rushed to her side both crying while still clinging to the hope that the Valkyrie was still alive

Seigfried grabbed his wife's hand and brought it to his chest "YOU CAN SAVE HER RIGHT!?" he shouted at Anastasia's face as tears fell from his eyes "YOU KILLED THE HONKAI GOD THIS SHOULD BE A PIECE OF CAKE RIGHT!?"

Theresa placed Cecilia's head and her lap "Cecilia open your eyes!"

Anastasia looked at her friend's body unable to think straight when suddenly she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She looked behind herself and saw the Emperor smiling at her "You already know the solution to your problem, appease your emotions and see it" he said calmly

Anastasia closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths before a familiar stinging sensation came from the back of her neck, she found her answer. She placed her hand on Cecilia's body and started purifying it, this was just a temporal solution since soon the honkai energy will restart spreading.

The Empress was about to call for a ship but suddenly a scream reached her ears, she turned around and saw Sirin crying her heart out due to the pain she was experiencing due to her missing arm and hole in her belly.

"Ana..." Cecilia whispered as she regained a bit of consciousness "...you promised...to save her..."

Anastasia nodded and made her way to the former Herrscher and knelt next to her, inspecting her body...unfortunately, there wasn't much she could do to save the body, the wound created from her sword could not be healed...

"It hurts so much..." Sirin cried pressing her hands on the wound hoping to stop her blood from pouring out but to no avail.

Anastasia placed her not clawed hand on Sirin's face and used her psychic powers to 'turn off' Sirin pain receptors allowing the girl to calm down "It's going to be fine Sirin..." she said with a calm and soothing tone

Tears fell from the little girl's eyes "I don't want to die..." she muttered

"You're not going to die...I will keep my promise" The Empress replied before Sirin's eyes became empty.

What happened after this was something that her father thought her, soul manipulation. She had used her vectors to kill Sirin's body and, as a consequence, the soul was about to go within the Immaterium but Anastasia didn't let it and instead, she took it and stored inside her own body as a temporary measure until she will make her a new one.

She then looked at the body and saw the honkai cores inside of it starting accumulating energy in order to explode and destroy most of Siberia. The Empress sighed, she really wanted to get her hands on those cores to seal them so that they could not be reused, destroying them was just a temporary solution since they will reappear with a new Herrscher and also she couldn't be sure to be able to destroy them without making everything explode...She used her vectors to extract them and then banished them back to the Immaterium where such an explosion would not be too much trouble anyway...The second Honkai War was over and a new world was forged.
