Chapter - 42

Red Army Outpost

Alexey walked in front of Cocolia's holding cell and knocked on the glass window of the door, waking the woman up "Cocolia! We are going to Moskva! Come with us!"

"I already told you...I will not side with a traitor" Cocolia whispered "Let the Imperials find me...I don't care"

"The honkai will kill you first!" Alexey said causing the woman to raise an eyebrow "Novosibirsk has been attacked and your precious Red Army was killed by an Herrscher! What remains of them are going to the secret base in Severobaykalsk"

"Go away Alexey..." Cocolia muttered

"You're a good woman Cocolia...think of that Orphanage you send your money to..." the man replied with a sigh without getting any answer, he was about to say something but suddenly the whole building collapsed as if hit by something.

After a few moments, Cocolia emerged from the debris and looked around trying to understand what just happened. The woman saw an Honkai beast standing tall in front of her and as a reaction, she ran away from it and hid.

She remained hidden for several minutes until she was sure that she wasn't being chased, then she saw Alexey covered in debris and heavily injured.. Cocolia rushed to his side and removed the debris but quickly understood that there was no hope for the man

"Please...Save my wife..." he whispered before dying to his wounds

"Dammit..." Cocolia muttered "I'm sorry Alexey ...If only I knew you were telling the truth" she then checked the man's pocket's and found a Makarov handgun and his car keys.

The woman quickly rushed to the parking lot and reached Alexey's car, she got inside and...

"Who...Who are you?" Alexey's pregnant wife asked

She had silver hair made into two curled twin tails and silver eyes, she was wearing a light blue coat with white fur on the neck and sleeves.

Cocolia didn't have any time to speak with her so she just sat on the driver seat and ignored her

"No wait!" Miss Zaychick shouted as she grabbed Cocolia's arm "Who are you? And why do you have my husband's car keys? What happened to Alexey? Tell me!"

Cocolia cursed under her breath before taking Aleksey's gun and pointed it at the woman's face "SHUT UP WOMAN." she shouted "Alexey is dead. Keep your hands on your lap and stay quiet, if you want to live, you'll do exactly as I tell you and if you try anything funny, I'll shoot that pretty face of yours."

Miss Zaychick slowly nodded and did as she was told. Cocolia turned on the engine and drove away, she was about to go for the road to Moskva but she found herself looking at a small group of Honkai beasts, crossing between them was too dangerous...

The road to Novosibirsk, on the other hand, was empty. She cursed under her breath again and decided to follow it...hopefully, she'll come across General Colonel Ivan, she will dop off miss Zaychick and then try to find a way to get to the Orphanage...

Eternal Protector

Anastasia looked down at the Honkai horde that was approaching her firing line along with many floating battleships created with the core of reason by Sirin, at her side, there were Najenda, Samus, Leone, and Apollyon.

"My Empress" Alatan called as he entered the room "Primarch Esdeath and Akame have completed their missions. Small groups of Honkai Beasts have been spotted in the Siberian Tundra...I took the liberty to authorize their elimination on sight"

"You did the right thing" Anastasia replied with a nod "Tell your brothers that I'll personally guide the defense and counterattack"

Alatan knelt "It will be an honor to fight alongside you again, My Empress" he said before leaving

"So it begins" Najenda said as she looked outside

"Let the slaughter commence" Apollyon proclaimed

Anastasia closed her eyes when she opened them back, she was standing in the trench line along with her sisters and the Legio Custodes. Their sudden appearance startled the guardsmen for a second but they all quickly returned to aim their lasguns at the slow marching horde.

A few kilometers away, the Schicksal gunships were traveling towards the Imperial formation, they had received a notification that the Imperium was about to launch a massive assault on the Herrscher as part of their temporary truce.

Onboard of one of those battleships, there was Cecilia, who had been recalled from her temporal retirement due having to take care of her Kiana, And Siegfried. She noticed how the battleships suddenly started their landed procedures and looked at the C-Rank valkyrie next to her "What is going on? We're not at the tower"

"The Imperial Defense line is here" the Valkyrie replied as the gunships finally landed

"Here? Why?" Siegfried asked puzzled

"More than a million Honkai Beasts have been detected near the tower, the coalition can't get closer if we don't decrease those numbers a bit"

Siegfried was shocked and was about to reply that it was impossible to fight a horde that big but he was cut off from the sound of the cargo door of the gunship opening.

Cecilia grabbed him by the hand and walked outside along with the other Valkyries. They were in shock when they found themselves in front of massive robots equipped with many guns, they were also surprised to see how Doctor Tesla and Einstein along with their mechs were also there.

The additional troops of the coalition were in the back of the trench line, waiting to give them instruction there was Anastasia's counselor, Merlin. "Okay, I'm not exactly a professional with all these tactics and stuff so bear with me" he said with a laugh

"Get to the point already idiot!" Tesla replied already irritated by the man's antics

"Okay okay!" Merlin replied "The Mechs of Anti-Entropy will offer additional firepower and so will stand next to the massive tanks you can see. The A and S-Rank Valkyries of Schicksal will place themselves in front lines while the rest will be in the back, we can't allow unexperienced valkyries to interfere with our forces. DON'T ENGAGE THE ENEMY UNLESS YOU HAVE RANGED WEAPONS!" he said before turning towards a few gas-masked guardsmen "Take them to their positions"

The Guardsmen nodded and quickly gestured the joint forces to follow them.

Cecilia followed the soldiers deep within the trench line, she was shocked by the amount of military hardware present on in the defense lines, what surprised her the most is that she wasn't able to recognize any of weapons she was seeing. The closer she got to the first line the more Astartes she could spot...then she saw her...Anastasia was towering above the guardsmen, the Space Marines and any human being, at her side there were four other women, they were taller than anyone else but Anastasia. The Empress was clad in shiny golden armor and a golden aura seemed to emanate from her, which, even though the situation was pretty dangerous, gave Cecilia a sensation of safety and peace.

The Valkyrie was brought back to her senses when her husband tapped on her shoulders "I-Is that her?" he asked as he threw a few looks at Anastasia but avoided staring at her for too long

Cecilia slowly nodded "Yes...that's her"

As she said that Anastasia stabbed her sword on the ground and looked in the directions of the Honkai horde

"The day of reckoning has finally come" Anastasia said as her voice filled the minds of every warrior on the battlefield "Our enemy has finally revealed itself, we spent Millenia worth of preparations, the time of grief is over, the time of hiding is over. Today, we take our weapons and stand up against God! HAVE NO FEAR FOR I AM WITH YOU! HAVE NO HESITATION FOR I PROTECT YOU! HAVE NO MERCY BECAUSE THE ENEMY WILL NOT GIVE YOU NONE!"

Somewhere in the trench line, A Valkyrie was shocked to hear those words, for she has spent millennia on Earth and never came across the Imperial Forces...

The Honkai beasts known as Ballistas, raised their arms to throw the spheric objects that they usually used to bombard their enemies. Once having aimed they all threw the spheres at the trench line...but they never reached their targets as the Spheres exploded as if they hit an invisible wall

"MEN!" Anastasia shouted as all the legio custodes pointed their Guardian spears outwards as the other Primarch also aimed their weapons both of Schicksal and Anti-Entropy forces prepared themselves for the battle "SHOW THEIR GOD WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CHALLENGE HUMANITY!"

The guardsmen, the Astartes, the Spartans, and everyone else launched a warcry that echoed all across the Siberian tundra before the warhorns of the titans filled the air with what it sounded like sky ripping apart...then every single weapon opened fire.

The honkai beasts were hit by a massive barrage of Imperial Firepower, the titan's armament killed dozens of them with each shot while the Artillery rained mercilessly on them, the guardsmen's lasguns killed everything within range, a lasgun alone may not be strong enough to harm an Honkai beast but that doesn't matter when there are hundreds of thousands pointed at them. The Imperial Ships started engaging the floating battleships of the Honkai, each attack caused massive damage or simply destroyed the enemy ship upon impact.

The Frontier Titans piloted by the tactical dolls unleashed all of their firepower. The sky was occupied by swarms of flying honkai beasts engaging in combat the Imperial aircrafts and YoRHa flight units.

The Imperial Tanks aimed their cannons to the giant Honkais which were being used as shields by the smaller honkais, each shot caused the earth around them to tremble.

Tesla and Einstein were shocked but this didn't keep them from firing all of the ammunition of their mechs, the Valkyries with ranged weaponry shot in the mass of beasts.

Suddenly, the sky above the battlefield darkened and wrathful clouds started appearing everywhere soon followed by a storm of golden lightning bolts crashed down the enemies of man, destroying their ships and electrocuting any flying beast. The damaged aircraft and YoRHa flight units started repairing themselves.

Anastasia's body was now shining with a golden glow, her eyes were now made of the purest of light and a pair of wings made of aldnoah energy and resembling those of an Eagle shoot out of her back.
