Chapter seven

      "LET GO OF MY SISTER!!!" 'what? sister? What is this man talking about?' I held Catherine tightly "W-w-what are you talking about? W-which s-sister? I think you have entered the wrong house."

       The man looked like he was ready to kill and when he started coming towards me. I covered Catherine and waited for what was coming. Just when he was about to grab me Catherine shouted.

        "I SAID STOP!!! Brother, please don't hurt Amelia. She is not a bad person." 'wait. What? Brother? Is this man really Catherine's brother?' I looked up and finally saw his face. He was drop dead gorgeous. Any girl would easily be charmed with his looks. He had a jet black hair and the most beautiful blue eyes. 'I should not be thinking about this right now. I should focus on the situation at hand'. 

         I released Catherine from my grip and asked her "Catherine, what is going on her? Is this your brother? Please say something." Catherine started to burst into tears and the man charged towards me and started to strangle me again.

       "How dare you make my little sister cry. You will pay for this." just when he was about to throw me again Catherine shouted again. "BROTHER, I TOLD YOU TO STOP ALREADY. YOU ARE HURTING HER."

        He let go of his grip and I gasped heavily for air. 'Who does he think he is? If he had thrown me again, I would have surely sustained a broken bone. It really hurts. For a moment I thought I was going to die.' he went to meet Catherine and immediately hugged her tight but Catherine pushed him away and came to me. 

        The man suddenly spoke in a completely different voice. Instead of speaking in a harsh and angry voice like he did to me, he spoke in a gentle voice. "Catherine what are you doing? Please come to me. You made everyone worry. Do you know how Caroline has been since when you went missing."

       Catherine held me tightly and started apologizing. "Amelia I am so sorry, I lied to you about having Amnesia. I am perfectly fine and I remember where I live and who my family is. This is my brother and I have a sister named Caroline and I also have another brother and a father. I was going to tell you before the one month ends but this happened. The thing is, my family never allows me to come out and I was always locked in my room. But when I met you, you were kind and you always took me out. I really consider you as my sister but I lied to you. I am really sorry. Please forgive me."

       I hugged Catherine tight and calmed her down. Just then, Catherine brother yanked my hands and grabbed her gently. "Catherine why are you crying and asking for forgiveness from her? you should know that you are never supposed to bow your head low for anybody. They should be the one begging you." 

     'wow, this man really has a big ego, he might be good looking but he has no respect.' Catherine then moved away from him and shouted "No!!! You should be thanking her instead. She saved me when I was in danger and took me in even though she could get into trouble. Yet you trashed her house and tried to kill her." 

       Before anyone could continue this conversation I interrupted " Catherine please can I talk to you for a moment?" Catherine did not flinch before rushing to me. 

     "Look Katie, I love the fact that you really feel that way for me but there are other people that are really worried about you. Your brother did those things because he was worried about you. You left home without informing anyone about it for more than three weeks. If you want me to forgive you then please promise me that you won't run away like that again. You are a really sweet child and a lot of people worry for you so please don't do that again, okay?" 

       Catherine nodded and hugged me. "I promise Amelia I won't do it again but will I still be able to see you again." I searched for Catherine stuffed rabbit and it was lying on the ground. I picked it up and dusted it. Then I went to my room and grabbed one of our photos and went back to Catherine. I went on my knees so I would be the same length with her. 

      " Katie, this world is a very small world. If God permits it, hopefully we will see each other again but till then take this." I handed the rabbit and the picture to her. "If you ever miss me just take this teddy and cuddle it. You always told me that I looked like a rabbit, didn't you? So when you see this rabbit, you will think of me. And that is a photo of both of us. I also have a copy. Now I can never forget your face."

         Catherine smiled and walked to her brother. Just then I realized the mess he had made here. He Even broke some of aunt and uncle favorite stuffs. I am so dead. I was so pissed. Just then, another man in black suits with dark glasses came. He looked like a bodyguard. I didn't care and yelled "Hey you!!! Brother." 

       Katie's brother told the other man to take Katie outside and that he would soon join them. After they left, he turned to me "What?" I was so pissed and I ended up pouring out my anger and moving closer to him. All the fear I had for him vanished. 

       "What happened is that, first of all, you broke into my house and destroyed it. Then you threw me like a sack of potato and tried to kill me twice. After all that you could not say the word sorry. You really do have a really huge ego." The man looked at me with a smirk and started to come closer to me until he pinned me to the wall. 

     "It seems like the scared little Bunny isn't scared of me anymore. Listen up bunny , That word is not in my dictionary. If you are worried about all these, I will compensate you by giving you a lot of cash. So don't make a fuss." I tried to push him away but he was to strong. 

      "I don't want your money idiot, If you weren't Katie's brother, I don't know what I would have done." He scoffed "You can try, rabbit." Then he let go and started walking away. I called him again "Hey, if you don't want that kind of incident to happen again then don't lock her up all day and let her go out and have fun like how children her age suppose to do." He didn't reply me and just walked away. 

       'Gosh, such a brat.' I looked around to see the big mess again. 'I am really going to get in trouble.' I got a broom and started to clear everywhere even though it was the middle of the night. I finally got everything in shape except for the things that broke. 

         Few days later, the whole family returned. Aunt freaked out when she looked at the broken pieces I left in a box. "Amelia, what the heck happened here? Why did you break all this?" 

        I didn't have any lie to come up with so I just said whatever came to my mind. "Well, a theif came into the house and smashed all of this." 

        Aunt Lucy looked at me with rage. "Foolish child, if a theif was here then what are the things he stole. Even though a theif came here it's your fault. Are you not supposed to watch over the house. In my own opinion, you're the theif here. You are not going to get away with this."

         Aunt Lucy grabbed a long stick and started lashing me with it. She didn't stop until she saw me bleeding. "This is how to deal with a thief. If you ever do anything to anger me again, I will just sell you to a brothel. You will be worth good cash." 

        I just laid there in pain. 'This was all because of that arrogant tyrant, but it was worth it, it was because he thought his sister was in danger. As long as Katie is safe I don't mind getting beaten up.' I smiled and then stood up and staggered as I limped to my room. 'I have to prepare for school tomorrow, summer is over.' 

      When I reached my room I saw Katie's photograph. I took it and put it on my chest. 'It has only been a few days and I already miss you badly, I hope we see each other soon. I miss you.'

      I kiss it and put it back in place and went to bed. 'I really hope tomorrow will be a good day. I can't put up with anymore drama.'
