Gods Don't Bleed

Everyone had to watch each fight go on... the first one being Harpuia versus Lukas. Harpuia looked strange... his face looked human... but everything else was covered in green armour... he also had a red crystal on his head that seemed important although it was impossible to tell what it did just by looking at it. A platform appeared beneath the both of them and surprisingly it had gravity. Walls shot up from the edges of the platform and the both of them readied themselves. "A quick analysis has told me everything I need to know about you." Harpuia spoke in a cold voice. "Well...what do your results have to say about me?" Lukas asked nervously. "They say... you are a normal human... with normal powers... sure you have a rare soul trait which boosts your powers...that being Determination... but aside from that... you are as weak as a normal human." Harpuia replied in the same voice which terrified Lukas. "W-well then... y-your analysing system can't be all that good then." Lukas retorted with a nervous laugh. "Actually... all of my systems are fully upgraded to the best they can be... they are never wrong... you... are... weak. If this is one of the strongest beings that this Multiverse has to offer... then this Multiverse clearly can't offer much... enough talking... let us begin." Harpuia explained as he reached behind his back and pulled out two beam sabres.

Lukas then readied his weapons... this was the first time that Michael saw Lukas' weapons... they were strange... they appeared to be made out of a crystallised version of pure Determination... they were also designed weirdly... they were sword like objects but they had no hilt... instead the back part of the blade had a handle coming out of it to make the blade go below Lukas' arms. Michael could sense a chilling presence but he couldn't find out what was causing it...and at that point he was more worried about Lukas' chances of survival. The two dashed at each other with their weapons colliding... but soon after, Harpuia floated up higher and crossed his sabres in front of him... this caused lightning to suddenly emerge from nowhere and it almost struck Lukas. No matter how obvious it was that Lukas could not win this... Harpuia was not letting up...he just kept attacking and he never seemed to get tired. "What's wrong Lukas? Didn't you say that my systems were wrong about your strength?" Harpuia asked most likely trying to make Lukas feel more scared. "Indeed I did Harpuia... don't lie... you know what I am capable of... you're just trying to discourage me." Lukas replied whilst smiling slightly. Then, all of a sudden, Lukas just started laughing... he then threw his weapons away and they disappeared. "What are you laughing about?" Harpuia questioned Lukas as he was trying his best to hide his frustration. "I'm sorry... so hehehe... so a guy goes and talks to his friend because they were going to a music class and... hehehe... and his friend says "Dude did you forget your harp?" and the guy says "Uia I did forget my Harp."" Lukas then started laughing to the point where he was crying. "Did you really just say that to me? How dare you!" Harpuia yelled this time not even trying to hide his frustration.

Harpuia then launched himself at Lukas and swung his sabres which ended up cutting his arm. Lukas stopped laughing... he wasn't bleeding... and he only seemed slightly irritated by what had happened meanwhile Harpuia had a smug grin on his face. Despite what had just happened... Lukas just started laughing again... but it became obvious that he wasn't laughing because he had found something funny... everyone but the opponents knew what they were looking for when Lukas was like this... those glowing red eyes... but they didn't see them. Instead, it seemed the whole Multiverse started to glow red, Harpuia was clearly fearing for his life... but he decided to try and finish Lukas whilst he was laughing to himself... but as soon as Harpuia got close, the both of them disappeared... before reappearing moments later to let everyone see what had happened. Harpuia was a wreck... all of his armour was cracked and inside there were wires and metal everywhere... but the wires seemed to have been disconnected and the metal had rusted. The platform disappeared and Lukas returned to his team.

Lukas shot something at Harpuia's unconscious body and it teleported away. One of the humans put his hand to his ear again. "Sir...we have the results of the first battle... Harpuia has been defeated... yes sir... it seems they are formidable... I don't know sir... we can't sir... they have taken him sir." At that point, the voice on the other end of the call was shouting so loud that The Protectors could hear them... but they couldn't make out what they were saying. "SIR! Sir if you want to you can easily meet them here and we can call off this part of the attack... very well sir." The human explained before taking his hand away from his ear. No more than a few seconds later, a man appeared from the portal... he looked different... he had blue hair and white clothes... in fact it seemed like he was wearing a lab coat. "These? These are the ones that managed to take down Omega and Harpuia?" The man asked. "Yes sir... I wouldn't underestimate them though... that kid especially." The other man replied. "Well then... you all seem weak... but I'm not one to judge a book by its cover. My name is Taen. I'm in charge of this attack on your Multiverse... now you may have heard what my associates said about calling off the attack... but I'm afraid that is not going to happen. I have just come here to witness the rest of these battles myself." The blue haired man clarified.

"Now... send in the person you intend to challenge Fefnir with." Taen demanded. "Lukas... how do you do that? I might want to borrow that orb of yours so I can try it myself." Delta asked. Lukas just shook his head and looked away. "Okay then... I guess I'll see you guys later... hopefully." Delta said nervously as he walked slowly towards Fefnir. Fefnir looked similar to Harpuia...except that his armour is red and he had no wings. A platform appeared again and the two challengers stepped onto it... the walls appeared again and Fefnir readied his weapon... but The Protectors had not foreseen this. The reason that they chose Delta to fight Fefnir was because Delta could take several physical injuries before even feeling any pain... but Fefnir's weapon was a cannon... it shot projectiles. Delta was now at a disadvantage. "What's the matter... feeling scared yet? Are you regretting any of your choices now, huh?" Fefnir asked. "You wish! Nothing has scared me in my life and nothing ever will... not even death itself will make me feel fear." Delta replied confidently. "Well there's no reason we should be stalling then... let's do this!" Fefnir yelled whilst charging his cannon. Before anyone knew it, the two were fighting... multiple explosions coming from the blasts that Fefnir shot that caused smoke to envelope the arena... no one knew what was happening except for the two inside of the arena.

Finally the smoke cleared and Delta was on the ground... barely surviving. The platform disappeared and Fefnir started to bring Delta towards the portal... Dream went to try and stop him but Michael pulled him back and reminded him what would happen if he interfered. They had no choice but to wait for all of the battles to be over. The next round was Leviathan versus Cross. As the challengers were approaching each other, the invaders were tied up in a bunch of blue cables and then... Michael's least favourite Destroyer face appeared. "We-e-ell... what i-is this? You're all having fun withou-out me?" Error asked as his sudden interruption surprised everyone. "You know what we told you! We told you all not to interfere... this is very stupid of you... you have now made me run out of patience and we will be using our full force to take over this place." Taen spoke with a sigh as he seemed more disappointed than anything. Error's face seemed to light up and he smiled even more than before... as he seemed to get an idea. "Well I'm sorry gu-uys I guess our surprise attack failed... looks like we couldn't protect our Multiverse." Error said whilst obviously trying his best to look like he's upset. Taen seemed to just be poking at the air for a bit until a digital screen appeared in front of him... he pressed a few buttons before it disappeared. "Everyone has been messaged... you should've just listened to us when we said that we don't want to have an unfair battle... now this is going to be all too easy." Taen mumbled whilst shaking his head as he seemed like he wasn't enjoying anything that was currently happening.

Error looked extremely excited... he released everyone and started laughing before returning to the Anti Void. Michael was visibly enraged whilst everyone else was just in shock of what Error just did. They knew he hated The Multiverse... but to let another civilization take over The Multiverse... that's just insane! Lukas opened a portal that led back to The Sanctuary and started to head through. "We might as well enjoy it while it lasts... I've got someone I need to see... before it's all gone." Lukas sighed before closing the portal behind him. Michael wasn't going to let that be the end... he dashed towards Taen... only to be attacked by all of the champions at once and soon... his body was deactivated... and captured.

"He wanted this to happen the whole time... he's happy on the inside even though he pretends not to show it. Look... I don't care what you did... I think we can put all of that aside for a while...that's what you wanted is it not? We will destroy this monster together... we will find a way to overcome his powers. I knew there was a reason why he answered everything with violence... that's it...do whatever you want... possess me and use my powers... or just temporarily give me yours. What do you mean you haven't done anything yet? My emotions? Your saying that my emotions are what is causing it?"

Hey, finally, the first chapter to hit 2000 words. Anyways, I've realised something that I do in this chapter that I'm trying to stop doing and that is the fact that I cut fight scenes short before they really go anywhere. I think the main reason that this happens is because I'm was a bit unsure of my ability to write them. I'm trying to improve so hopefully you get something that really gets you to see the action later on.
