OLD WARRIOR

Rustain sprung across the forest faster than he has ever been, aiming to reach the village, his sweat ran across his face towards his chest, gritting his teeth, he tried his best to race away from the danger, but the wind started to heavenly hinder his movement.

The moon has reached its peak, showering the road with moonlight, it revealed the trees around him that fall one by one as the vicious tornados passed through it.

The wind and falling branches flow like a river but cut like a knife, as it grazed Rustain, his skin bleeding slightly with every touch.

|Kuro wh--what is that creature| Rustain pant along with his heavy breathing, him carrying two people started to take its toll.

|it's the FENRIR|

|Fenrir?? The wind goddess's child?| Rustain.

|Yes, just survive this, that thing is after you|Kuro said anxiously.

"Ahhh, damn it" Rustain suddenly stopped, he immediately took a turn and went Inside the forest.

"Ain, what are you doing?!" Kaizer asked, his faces frowned and trembled to see the tornadoes that followed them "this isn't the way going to the village"

Rustain ignored Kaizer, he just continued to sprint evading the falling branches and the leaves that flow through the strong gust of cold wind.

Rustain stopped, his faces dreaded as he looked at a huge cliff in front of him, he pant and continued to look around for a way around, losing time as he felt the bloodlust is getting closer he grit his teeth and saw a good hiding a lot aver a bush near the Clift.

"Ain, where are we? Hey! Where do you think you're leaving us?" Kaizer managed to grab Rustain by his tattered cloth, he glared towards him and gave him a heavy sigh "explain to me what is happening, it's clear this storm isn't ordinary, and earlier you used magic? Care to explain?!"

"A Fenrir, it's after me? So can you stay hidden here and not make any noise?" He leaned and placed Sei gently beside Kaizer, he's face was full of doubt, doubting if he could protect this person in front of him.

He gently glides his finger across Sei's dreadful complexion, his forehead creased, and his mouth grit. Rustain stood up and with his sword, in his hand, he went out from hiding and into the open field he went to the opposite side where Kaizer, Sei, and the village is.

"Rustain where are you going HEY!!" Kaizer yelled but due to his current condition, he could only start Rustain sprints away.

Not a moment passes the cloudy sky and the harsh wind storm immediately subsided and its movement followed Rustain.

His eyes wide and his jaw dropped, the phenomenon disappeared along with Rustain, but along with its disappearance, Kaizer heard a sudden rustling sound, the movement near them suddenly became louder and noticeably closer.

*ah!! I can't even move, what if it's a monster I don't even have my sword with me, I can't protect Sei, Ain you bastard you left us in the middle of the forest*

Kaizer started to sweat, his body shivered and responded by breathing.

(PANT!)

"HA~ AH~ HA~"

The rustling stopped, he noticed the sudden silence and eerie sound filled the trees around them but suddenly

A deep and husky tone spoke near his ear.

"Found you~" the voice then blew a soft air right beside his ear.

"AHHHHH!!!!!" Kaizer screamed to the top of his lungs.

The scream echoed throughout the forest reaching Rustain's ear.

"What was that?!"

"Don't get distracted Rustain, it's here" Kuro appeared in his physical form beside Rustain.

Rustain who arrived at an open field suddenly stopped sprinting when deep green eyes behind the trees across him appeared greeting with a snarl.

"Grrrr~ I sMeLl DaRkNeSs, KiLl~ Grrr~"

Emerging from the shadows across the grass field in the middle of the forest a massive wolf. It is fur white as snow, and its teeth sharp as its overgrown claws. Its voice was deep and its gaze continuously gave off blood lust.

"KILL~~, JoB MuSt fINiSh~~"

Triple his height, Rustain unsheathed his sword and formed a stance.

"Can I defeat that thing?!" Rustain

"There's a chance that you could win, and in your current condition, I say fifty" Kuro replied.

"What if I joined the fun" a man in full body armor walked into the scene. "Hmm. You've got yourself a unique friend Ain"

It was sir Kai, he looked at Rustain with a sharp gaze and gave him a warm smile.

"Sir? What are you doing here, friend? I wouldn't say that wolf is my--" Being cut off from what he was going to say Rustain was shocked by what he was about to hear.

"The cat beside you, I can feel a chaos magic in him, but that's not my business, I came to help," Sir Kai said as he removed Excalibur from its scabbard.

"Did that sword--"

"I see, Trust him, Rustain" Kuro smirked and reassured his contractor.

"Well, follow my lead" sir Kai then took the initiative and dashed towards the Fenrir and gave it a hard slash.

It jumped upward as it landed away dodging the attack, it snarled furiously, it raised its claws and slashed through space where a wind blade appeared, slicing towards Rustain and sir Kai.

Rustain rolled through the ground dodging, while sir Kai sliced through the wind blade.

"Wow! Amazing " Rustain praised.

"This is not the time for admiration kid," says sir Kai.

"Yes, sir" Rustain then attacked Fenrir with his blade.

His blade clashed with its steel-like claws rapidly exchanged blows, the battle was forced and didn't give each one an edge.

Behind the Fenrir's back, Sir Kai launched a sudden attack, it successfully pierced its flesh, the blood flowed like a fountain dripping from its abdomen to its furry legs.

"YOu DaMn HuMaN!!!"

The Fenrir released a repelling current of wind, it threw Rustain and Sir Kai away in front of it. The gap had been made, it leaped into the air and released a massive tornado towards them.

Rustain tumbled on the ground, he immediately stood up but it was stopped late the tornado was already in front of him.

*shit!* Rustain felt the wind sucking him into the vortex.

He immediately stuck his sword into the ground, the tornado swallowed Rustain but with his sword being his anchor it prevented him from being dragged.

The debris that the tornado swallowed became sharp shards that circled Rustain, causing him to gain shallow wounds.

The Fenrir landed on the ground, the stuck sword in its abdomen has caused it to lose blood making it fall to its knees.

"FOR A HUMAN TO ACHIEVE THIS, YOU ARE INDEED HIS CONTRACTOR"

"Shut up traitor, Rustain use the magic I taught you, Now" Kuro

Rustain nods and immediately casts the spell.

"/OBLIVION/"

The shadow rapidly enveloped the Fenrir, it tried to reap of the shadows but it only grew back, it squirmed with all its might.

The Fenrir burst in anger.

"AHH!!! DAMN HUMAN" The Fenrir lashed towards Rustain with its claws, the shadow wasn't fast enough it didn't fully restrain the Beast.

Rustain who seem exhausted, tried to concentrated more to the spell.

"/OBLIVION/!!!" Rustain shouted.

Pouring every mana he have,

The beast leaped towards him, but Sir Sei came out the attack for him.

Rustain trembled, after seeing the blood dripping to his face. The claw of the beast pierces through sir Kai's shoulder.

"Con~~cen~~trate on the spe~~ll" stuttering as he spew blood out of his mouth. His warm blood ran down to his waist and into the cold ground.

Rustain tightened his grip into the sword, gritting his teeth, and groaning, he released all the mana he had.

The shadow instantly swallowed the beast and there it was stuck in Rustain's shadow..

"I did..... It" Rustain fell unconscious.

"Sign~~ this kid seriously?" Sir Kai, said with relief.
