THE FOURTH FLOOR

'He has an energy move!' Dave screamed in his mind as he had a shocked expression on his face. But he wasn't the only one that was shocked, every student in the area had a shocked expression on their face as they stared at the crystal viewing what was going on in the black pagoda.

They even ignored the students who began to come out of the pagoda with exhaustion overwhelming them.

"This is going to be troublesome," said Austin as he stared at the only beast that appeared on that floor. It was still a Tasmanian Tiger, but it had an aura of a peak Rank C beast.

After staring at the beast who was also observing him for a few moments, Austin immediately began to activate his bolt speed in other to surprise the beast. But before he could finish activating the spell, The beast suddenly appeared right in front of him as it raised one of his claws to attack Austin.

'So fast' Austin thought with a shocked expression on his face while instinctively raising his two sabers to act as a form of defense against the attack of the beast.

But that didn't even faze the momentum of the beast's attack as it went right through the sabers and was coming close to Austin's bare body. As soon as the claws of the beast began to touch Austin's torso, he quickly activated a spell that made his entire being be covered with a golden light.

<SAINTS BODY>

Although the spell managed to prevent the claws of the beast to cut into Austin's body, the force of the attack still flung him 30 meters away from the previous spot he confronted the beast.

'Looks like this is where he stops' Dave thought while staring at the viewing crystal but with a straight face. After some minutes of waiting for the dust to settle, everybody outside the pagoda finally saw the state Austin was In.

His body was covered with bruises and blood was slightly visible in the corner of his mouth. His ranked weapon was completely shattered as he held the hilt of it. Although he was all beaten up, his expression still had a firm look in it.

"I have one last chance in this battle" Austin said as he brought out a crystal that was radiating a lightning aura.

"What is that?" Dave asked as he faced Muzi again.

"Wait, you don't know what is that?" Muzi asked back with a shocked face. But Dave just shrugged his shoulders as he answered.

"Yes"

"Hahaha, from which backward country did you come for you to not know this stuff?" Miranda asked while laughing loudly.

But as soon as she saw Dave looking at her with an intense coldness, she quickly stopped and lowered her head.

'Serves you right' Viona thought while having a sense of victory in her.

'Why do I feel like a battle has just ended' Jake thought as he turned his gaze from the viewing crystal to look at everyone close to him. But when he turned to look at Jonah, he also saw him looking back at Jake.

'Looks like am not the only one that felt it' Jake thought again while turning his gaze back to the viewing crystal.

"What Austin just brought out is called an inscribed crystal. Its use is that it stores a large amount of energy in them so it can be used as a bomb. But this inscribed crystal can only hold a specific kind of element and is ranged in rank." Muzi explained after giving his sister a pitied look.

"Thanks," Dave said as he looked back at the viewing crystal.

Things haven't changed much in Austins' fight. The only thing that has been happening since when Austin brought out the crystal was nothing more than a game of tag. Before the beast could get to where Austin stood, he quickly turn into a bolt of lightning as he dashed to another area.

But that rhythm didn't stay that way for long, this time as the beast was trying to get to Austin again, he turned into a bolt of lightning as he flew towards the beast. When the two of them clashed, an explosion suddenly rang out as a blinding light covered the viewing crystal.

After waiting and holding their breaths for a few minutes, the students outside the pagoda finally saw the outcome of that explosion. Austin was bleeding in all his orifices as he struggled to stand straight. But the good thing is that the beast was nowhere to be seen.

'This ends his journey in the pagoda' Dave thought while quietly watching what will happen next where Austin is currently.

'I did it' Austin thought with a weak smile on his face. Suddenly, a light enveloped him as a message came into his mind.

"Due to your body condition, you are unable to proceed to the last floor so your test has ended"

"That's to be expected," Austin said while finally disappearing from the fourth floor. While staring at the bleeding Austin that was coming out of the black pagoda and the medics quickly running towards him, a thought suddenly popped up in Dave's mind as he had a pensive look on his face.

'If the fourth floor can be this challenging to pass, I wonder how the final floor will be like'
