Chapter 6 - ANYONE COULD BE a GOOD FRIEND (2)

Juliet gets up to take water from the water dispenser to cool her mind. Her boss entered and summoned her to his office.

Boss: "Juliet, are you done with the file?"

Juliet: "Em, em..."(She lost her speech)

Boss: "Don't tell me you haven't done it!"

Juliet: "I'm sorry sir, the computer not coming up and the printer seems not to be working too sir."

Boss: "What moves have you made towards it?"

Juliet: "I was about to call the technician when you come in."

Boss: "Juliet, out of my office and do the needful!" (Juliet rushed out of the office as her boss not buying whatever she says)

Juliet: "Why is my day going like this? Grrr...(she was so sad as she walked towards her seat). She picked up her phone and called the technician."

Juliet: "That stupid man I saw this morning seems to be evil! He spoiled my day right from the place I saw him. I know he might have come from an evil abode. What a day! I couldn't believe my boss can shout at me that way."

(Her colleague came to check on her)

Colleague: "Babe, what's going on with you this morning? You're talking to yourself when you came in and you're still talking now to yourself. I hope you're fine as you claimed Juliet."

Juliet: "Sighs. Babe, did you know that our boss shouted at me just now?"

Colleague: "What did you do? We all know that our boss is a calm fellow."

Juliet: "He asked for the file and I told him that both the printer and computer not working. He didn't allow me to finish before sending me out."

Colleague: "Sorry about that but that's unusual of him. Have you called the technician?"

Juliet: "Yes, he's on his way."

Colleague: "How about what you said you will tell me later concerning your attitude this morning? (she giggled)"

Juliet: "Sighs... It was one stupid man that ruined my day."

Colleague: "Tell me of it. He's it a toaster?" (She blushed)

Juliet: "Toast what? Never! He's just a wanderer."

Colleague: "Wanderer, how?"

(The technician came in)

Technician: "Good morning house"

Juliet and other colleagues: "Morning"

Technician: "Which of the laptop is faulty?"

Juliet: "Mine" (she walked towards her desk to show the technician).

(Their boss came out of his office).

Boss: "Juliet, is the technician around?"

Juliet: "Yes sir"

Boss: "Okay, make sure you prepare the file against tomorrow." (He went out of the building and drive off)

Juliet and colleagues: "The office is ours today!" (They all engaged in gossip group by group)

Colleague: "Babe, continue from where you stopped concerning the wanderer."

Juliet: "He parked in front of me on my way this morning and asked if he can give me a ride."

Colleague: "So?"

Juliet: "I told him that I'm not interested as I've never seen a jobless man asking to give a ride as early as the time I saw him."

Colleague: "How could you rate someone in that manner? He's just trying to help based on your explanation."

Juliet: "Really? Someone that's giving signs of not only giving rides! I wish you were there to see it too."

Colleague: "I don't agree with you, Juliet! Not everyone is as bad as you always think."

Juliet: "Hun... It's your opinion though."

Colleague: "I thought it was something serious when you entered with such a sad face. To be honest, you should treat people politely because someone you think is an enemy or bad could be an angel."

Juliet: "You've started your preaching of being friendly with half of the people in the city with all the bad things happening around." (She walked into her seat).

Colleague: "The earlier you know that not all people are bad the best for you babe." (she also went back to her seat and commenced her work).

(The technician finished his work and left)

Juliet: "Now I can work on the file." (She commenced on her work too).
