Chapter 5

Over the next few weeks, Ethan and Ella went on several dates. They explored the city together, trying out new restaurants and visiting museums. Ella had never felt so alive. Ethan was charming, intelligent, and he had a wicked sense of humor.

They had an instant connection, and Ella felt like she could talk to him about anything. On the other hand Sarah has being trying all she could in other to win Ethan over but all her effort proved futile. She has sent him hundreds of messages and bombarded him with hundreds of call but he ignored all.

The only day he picked her call was the first day she called him. He was at home going through some reports in his computer when he saw an incoming call from an unknown number. He picked it only to hear the voice of a lady who described herself as one of the waitress of Whataburger the restaurant where he usually comes to buy lunch since the day he met Ella there.

Then she told him that she has been watching him since the first day that he came to the restaurant and that she fell in love with him instantly. Without responding her, he hung up the call and immediately copied the number and registered it on Whatsapp and was surprised to see the photo of the lady who Ella presented to him as her best friend. Immediately he dialed her number back and she picked immediately, he tried talking some senses into her by asking her which type of friend she was and what Ella will say when she finds out that her best friend is trying to snatch away her boyfriend.But Sarah on the other hand seemed not to be affected by his statement,she even threatened Ethan of doing everything in her power to win him over even though it means loosing her friendship with Ella.

Ethan was dumbfounded by her statement he knew it was the beginning of a tribulation and he too was ready to do everything in his power to fight for his relationship with Ella.

After that day he blocked her number because of her non stop calls and messages but she wasn't going to give up that easily. She kept on bombarding him with different calls and messages with different numbers but he kept on ignoring all.

When she saw he wasn't giving in she started sending him her nude pictures even inviting him to her house but he kept ignoring on ignoring because the only person his heart desired was Ella and he hated cheap women that threw themselves on him.

At first he wanted to tell Ella about it but he didn't want to be the one to ruin their friendship but he was overwhelmed by her calls and messages and so he decided that he was going to put an end to her disturbance before it puts and end to his relationship with Ella.

Ethan was inside his office on a sunny Friday afternoon going through some paper works when his phone started ringing, once he took the phone and saw an unknown number his instinct told me immediately told that it was Sarah. He immediately picked the call put the phone on his ear.

"Hello Ethan" the familiar feminine voice greeted him.

"Sarah what do you want from me?" Ethan asked in an angry tone. "I have told you thousand times that it's Ella I love not you why can't you understand?" Ethan enquired angrily

"You already know what I want" Sarah said with a seductive tone. "If you can't give me your heart then allow me to test your body only for one night and after that we will go our separate ways"

"Is that all?" Ethan asked.

"Yes that's all" Sarah responded.

"Then send me your address I'll be there this evening". Ethan said. "But mind you after that no more disturbance and we will all go our different ways and no one is going to be aware of it"

"Yes I agree to all your conditions and please don't keep me waiting." Sarah said with a seductive tone.

After the call Ethan dialed Ella's number but she didn't pick up, he tried for two more times but still she didn't pick up so he left her a text message informing her that he will come to pick her after work.

The darkness of the evening was slowly covering the entire New York city followed by the beautiful moonlight. Meanwhile Ethan and Ella were sitting in a café sipping their coffee while discussing how their daily activities went. As they were discussing the phone of Ethan started ringing, immediately he took the phone and saw an unknown number and excused himself and went and took the call and after some minutes he returned and sat beside Ella who was busy sipping her coffee. Ethan looked at her gorgeous face for some seconds and smiled at himself without saying a word and that startled Ella.

"Is there anything on my face?" Ella asked with a surprise look

"No" Ethan replied smiling

"Then why are you smiling while looking at my face?" Ella asked pretending to be angry

"It's just that sometimes I ask myself what I did to deserve a kind hearted woman like you" Ethan replied smiling

"Awn Lover boy" Ella teased him blushing."Hope you will never break my heart"

"No I won't it's a promise, I'll never hurt you and I will do everything in my power to prove my love to you"Ethan said with a straight face.

From the look on his face Ella could easily detect that he meant every word he said. Ella couldn't help but just blush. She looked at him for some seconds and drew her face a little closer to his and whispered to him "I love you Ethan and I'll always do " and with that she gave him a deep kiss on his lips ignoring the people that were look at them.

After their lovely discussions Ethan asked her to accompany him somewhere which she accepted but he refused to tell her where they were heading. He followed the location sent to him by Sarah and in less than twenty minutes he was already in the street of Sarah. Ella was surprised when Ethan stopped some meters away from Sarah's house.

"Babe what are we doing in Sarah's street?" Ella asked Ethan with a surprise look.

"You see babe not everyone calling you friend is your friend" Ethan replied handing her an ear pod

"I still don't understand"Ella replied. "And what am I suppose to do with this."

"Just put it in your ear it's connected to my phone and please just know that anything I'm about to do this night I'm doing it to prove to you how much I love you".Ethan replied

"Babe you're getting me scared please tell me what's going on"? Ella asked feeling worried

"There's nothing to be scared of my angel just make sure the ear pod is in your ear I"ll be back in some minutes." Ethan assured Sarah and she nodded in agreement.

Ethan came down from his car headed towards Sarah's apartment. Once he reached there he knocked on her door and immediately Sarah opened the door as if she already knew he was coming.

"Hi my love" Sarah greeted smiling seductively, I thought you weren't coming".

Ethan looked at her with disdain. She was putting on a mini transparent night gown that showed her forms.

When she noticed that Ethan wasn't moving she approached him and grabbed his hand and led him inside because he was still standing at the door. When she led him inside she turned towards him and wanted to kiss him but Ethan immediately pushed her away.

"What kind of lady are you" Ethan fired at her with an angry tone." "Ella is your best friend for crying out loud, and she even considers you as her sister but here you are trying to snatch her boyfriend away from her".

"I don't care" Sarah shouted." You are going to give me what I want or"

"Or what" Ethan snapped at her.

"Or you will have to explain to Ella what you came to do at my place by this time of the night." Sarah replied with a smirk on her face.

"You are such a crook, you can do your worst" Ethan replied turning towards the door.

Immediately she jumped and on Ethan and started shouting "someone help me! someone help me! he wants to rape me!

As Ethan was trying to free himself from her grips the door bust open and Ella walked in. Immediately Ella walked directly to Sarah and pulled her away from Ethan and started landing slaps on her two cheeks which turned red immediately. Ethan stood up immediately and drew Ella away from Sarah.

"Sarah you are wicked, yes you are very heartless" Ella cursed Sarah and immediately tears started rolling from her eyes. "After all the things I did for you, this is how you paid me back".

Sarah remained mute holding her two cheeks while shedding crocodile tears.

"I took you in when you were homeless without asking anything in return, I got you a Job at my work place, I took you as my sister but here you are back stabbing me.Why you?" Ella asked still sobbing.

"Ella I'm sorry,please forgive me. I don't know what got over me." Sarah explained still sobbing.

"Babe let's go" Ella said to Ethan while walking out of Sarah's apartment leaving Ethan behind.

"Wait for me babe" Ethan shouted chasing after her.
