1-6: Over

After another couple of days, Hans woke up to the usually sun beaming down on him. He wasn't tired of it anymore, he had a purpose. He wanted this, so he would continue! That's when he looked forward. A smile was brought to his face.

Before him was a peculiar Stone pillar shooting into the sky, beyond the clouds, with houses built into it's cliffs. Hans bolted downstairs and nearly threw the man out of bed. The man woke up confused. "What's going on? Are the pirates back?!" Hans couldn't speak, so he simply grabbed the man by the wrist and dragged I'm to the port. He flailed his arms in the air to let the people know of their arrival. He could see a group of people preparing a dock for them. This was finally it! He had reached the end of the journey! He would touch the stars! He felt a little weird though. Not as a feeling, he felt unwell. But the joy covered it up.

As the ship got closer, the feeling got worse. He didn't think of it though. He only thought of his achievement. They were pulling into the port now. He started to feel a bit dizzy. They hopped of the ship, the man still being confused. "Jacob?! Is that you???" said one of the older women. "Mom... it's me! I've come back!" The man... Jacob ran to embrace his mother. Although he was now blind, he still managed to see his mother's tears. It was a beautiful moment. But the dizziness was overwhelming now. Hans collapsed to the floor. The light... it was getting brighter...

"Jacob... so that was your name?"

Jacob turned to see Hans. "Ah yes, I thought I told you? I guess I didn't. Are you alright?" The light was now completely blocking his vision. Oh no. The memory, it was ending! "Jacob, the memory, it's ending! I uh um I'm glad you got to see your family, uh, don't forget me, I won't forget you! I-"

Bam. He was back in the clouds, the sunset still in progress, no time had passed yet he had been at sea for almost a week. It was over. It was nothing more than a memory... it was all for nothing... Jacob probably didn't even exist... even if he did he definitely would have forgotten Hans. He didn't even get to explore his home... he wished he would have had some time to just hang out with Jacob... for just a little bit more... and what is the pirates attacked his town? He would be killed... and there was nothing he could do...

Fear... fear filled him. He didn't know what to do...

No, he did know.

He knew exactly what to do.

He stood up, and jumped.

He jumped to the stars.

He would do this for himself and for Jacob.

He didn't have to be hopeless.

He COULD accomplish his goals.

They DID matter.

And he WOULD make memories of happiness.

He could.
