*Chapter 24: Almost a Runaway

Lunely's PoV

My mind shouted as I suddenly leaped out from my bed. I didn't control myself that time so I thought Lei and Yusarine might woke up, but nah ... They weren't.

Well, I'm next to Yusarine now on the bottom part of Leiro's double-deck bed while he's sleeping above us. My... Now that I know that Lei loves me too, I'm feeling like it's hard to sleep!

Suddenly, all of my thoughts disappeared when I saw it was four-thirty in the morning. Luh, I really thought I couldn't sleep- I didn't even realize I was asleep. Well, I should better wake the two of them up.

I climbed into Lei's bed when I suddenly saw Leiro smiling at me, and I was a little shocked that time since I didn't know he was awake.

"Morning Lunely." He whispered, as he reached his hand to me. I gently held her hand as he slowly pulled me up and lie down beside him. "I there any problem?"

"N-No ... Nothing at all. I just want to wake you up because it's four-thirty. Mark will be arriving at five so we need to hurry." I explained when Leiro suddenly pinched my cheek. "Hey! What was that for?!"

"Well, I am still thinking if all of these was only just a dream. Y-You know ... The moment that I confess my feelings for you along with my plans for the two of us... I suddenly felt embarrassed." Leiro smiled weirdly as he scratched his head. Well, that's normal for me.

"Lei, you don't have to be embarrassed. You're so proud that you have the courage to admit about your love for me. You should be flattered. And because of your confession, I now have the courage to put an end to all these problems... So thank you."

There goes that smile again that I always cherished throughout his life as I suddenly hugged him not because the aircon was cold but because I wanted to show how much I've loved him. Well, Leiro's a good guy, and I'm sure he'll take care of me forever.

"Hey, is it cold Lunely? Here, let me warm you up..." Leiro smiled as he slowly cover my whole body with a blanket as well as his arms. For the first time, I felt warmth- not only any other warmth that I always felt when I am beside him... It is something else I couldn't imagine...

"Not that Lei... I just wanted to hug you, that's all." I smiled as I slowly buried my face into his chest like what I'm always doing every night. Leiro just giggled as he started petting my head which made me feel relaxed.

"Don't worry Lunely. You can hug me anytime you wanted to- I won't mind. It's okay with me because I know you're safe when you're by my side. That's how I love you so much Lunely ..." Leiro said as he still stroking my hair like a total little sister thing. Yet, I am still silent as I wait for the words I want to come out of her mouth.

"I love-

"Guys, are you awake- oh wait, am I disturbing your little ... siesta?" Yusarine suddenly interrupted. Curse you Yusarine! You're really ruining the moment!

"Would you please stop interrupting us Yusa?!" I complained to her, as Leiro and her just giggled. I suddenly pouted at her when she quickly apologized.

"Well, I'm sorry for interrupting Sis Lou but Mark already texted that he'll be here within ten minutes so we better hurry up." Yusarine said when Leiro and I suddenly got up from hugging- I mean from lying down and went to the kitchen.

"Oh, children ... You're awake. All right, food is ready for you. You need to eat to fill your stomachs for camping."

Manang Fae smiled at us when she suddenly looked at Leiro. "Um, Sir Lei, do you want a drink today?"

"Just coffee Manang Fae. Make it black." Leiro smiled at her as he sat on his chair and started eating By the way, no one knows about my relationship with Leiro- only Yusarine. Maybe I can tell this thing to Mark once he comes here.

"Hey, cuz Lei, you're really serious about eating! Why don't you try something else, like I don't know- I know you know that already... I'm sure sis Lou will really like that." Yusarine giggled when I suddenly blushed.

"N-No, I won't! Lei, don't believe her, okay? You don't have to do that!" I complained to Leiro while Yusarine just kept laughing. Curse you Yusarine! Just get ready for me later...

I was suddenly leaped out of my seat when I suddenly saw a spoon hovering near my mouth. The heck is that! Leiro is really going to do that?!

"But, I'm doing this because I loved you. And if this is the only way I can make you feel my love, then I have to do it."

I blushed even more... Is he really serious ?! W-Well, nothing bad is going to happen, right? And besides, I've already kissed him twice so an indirect kiss won't be a problem anymore...

I was about to open my mouth when Mark suddenly entered from the main kitchen door.

"Well, am I disturbing your little ... Breakfast?" Mark asked us, although he was surprised with what he saw. I was even more embarrassed as I quickly gobbled up the food in Leiro's spoon and went back to my seat- do you think you can disturb this moment Mark? Hmph. Never!

"There you are Mark. Let's eat." Yusarine smiled at him as Leiro slowly stood up and went towards him.

"Wait, your face looks familiar..." Leiro curiously asked, as Mark just chuckled as he scratched his head.

"And so to you... So, you're Leiro, right? You are Lou Nylei's boyfriend and the guy who knew everything about Professor Seth's evil side. Impressive." Mark winked at Leiro as I gave Yusarine a sharp stare.

"Oh yes, back to our main topic, since this will be some long journey, I rented some condo for us to stay. It is located just a few miles from your school Leiro so you won't have any problem attending to your classes if ever you got one. Just make sure no one will spot you." Mark suddenly threatened Leiro as I first helped Yusarine put away what we were eating.

"I know... I'm Professor Seth. Don't worry, I'll make sure that no one will spot me. It's just, my parents might disapproved that I will be staying there for too long so..."

"Don't worry, If you didn't know, your parents are in Professor Scyamore's office now so I'm assured that he will take care of them." Mark smiled at him as he reported that.

"We will be leaving at exactly five-thirty. Merong akong sasakyan sa labas so all of you can ride at once and go there as early as possible. Pack up some of your necessary things since this will be a long stay. Bring also some files that might help with our plan." Mark ordered- now that's a boss.

"Well, setting aside, I really admire your work Leiro. I didn't know you were that tricky. Even the three of us still don't know anything about your plan. Nice work." My, Mark us always giving Leiro a lot of compliments- aren't you done there yet? Hello !? You're ruining my moment!

"Anyways, enough talk. We need to pack for the trip. All of our bags are ready so anytime we can carry them to your car Mark. We'll finish fixing ourselves and we'll be on our way now, okay?"

"Roger that." Mark answered, as Leiro just smiled and suddenly went upstairs. I still kind of don't believe what I see, but Leiro seems to be different now. Although his cheerful side is still there, yet he's gotten so serious now... Maybe he's just excited that justice will finally be given to-

Wait a sec, if Leiro reads what's on the diary, then why doesn't he know about Liana's 'fake death'? Did he just miss it or what? Eep... That's a bit strange...

It's almost time...

All of our bags were piled up gently inside the car trunk, our briefcases containing important documents were gently placed there as well, and we carry some small bags for our personal belongings, although Leiro just carry nothing but his black jacket that he always wearing as well as his purple headphones. I can also see a small brown leather pocket attached to the belt, and I can remember it was a butterfly knife. Well, that's a bit scary.

It was Mark who was driving the car as Yusarine sat on the front side while Leiro and I are on the back- hmph, it's good that you have a little consideration, Yusarine. You leave the back seat for the two of us and Leiro- that's good.

Leiro was wrapping his arms into mine, while I am leaning my head toward his chest. It will be a while before we reach our destination so I took a nap because I'm sure Leiro will wake me up later...

Leiro's PoV

I was stroking Lunely's hair when I noticed she was asleep. I slowly covered her body with my jacket when I suddenly asked Mark.

"Hey Mark, do you have a minute?"

"Yes bud. Why do you ask?"

"I can see that Lunely and you are really close. Is Lunely's always like this?" I asked as I saw Yusarine sleeping on the front seat. Mark Kian just chuckled as slowed down the car for a bit.

"Well, I kinda know what you're thinking, and I can say yes to that. Lou is really like that when she wanted something. It could either be a human, or thing or even a decision. As long as she wanted it, she will really fight it's even if she ended up risking her life."

"I see. But what I think is her attitude, actually. Did she also do this thing to you? You know, like hugging you or holding your hand?" I know that this is a weird question but this is boy's talk. I'm sure Mark understands.

"Oohh ... I see now ... I forgot that Lou's your girlfriend. Well, honestly, she doesn't do that to me. It's kinda surprising that it's my first time seeing her clinging to a guy, which is a bit new for me. But yeah, like I said, she only shows her soft side to whom she trusts. So if Lou was too clingy for you, just don't mind it. What matters most is you won't broke her trust. Promise, you will never like what happens when you break her trust in you.

"Hm. I understand. Thank you for that." I just smiled, although I still want to ask him but I can't say it for now.

"Wait a sec, why are you asking that thing, by the way?" Mark asked me as he slowly turned towards an intersection.

"Well, I-"

I wanted to speak when I was suddenly felt nervous- this feeling... It seems to be similar to what happened to Liana and me...

Suddenly, I saw an upcoming truck coming towards us. The driver was rushing all along but we didn't see that... I quickly shouted at Mark to dodge it.

"Mark! Watch out!"

Mark quickly tried to drift the car away from the upcoming truck, but it suddenly went towards the part where Lunely was seated. Without any chances, I grabbed Lunely out from her seat, cuddled her up tightly as tears suddenly fell from my eyes...

"Lunely!!"
