Chapter 9 Revolution begins

The grand scholar- Eldrich Koronia aka wise man of this era. He was a battle-hardened general and strategist who was famous for his achievements, but despite being so intelligent he was defeated by the southern empire soldiers. Due to his defeat, he had lost everything his prestige, and his people. The nobles were like hyenas who were ready to devour his flesh, taking everything from him.

Furthermore, his sight was taken in the south. However, he didn't abandon himself. He turned the table against the nobles as he rose to power once again and this time he was aiming for the throne. He wanted to cleanse this country and reestablish its former glory once again.

Tack*

He placed the queen and pushed the king down. His eyes were glowing red under the sun.

" Today, we will kill him. The crown prince and the council will divide the power. His reign of terror shall end with his life."

He said, ending the chess with flawless victory. He took off his monocle and wore his black leather gloves which were covered with metal spikes.

" We will march at dead of the night with silence. The king and the society must not know our movement. Although the blood river will be formed under the moon, our kingdom shall rise from the ashes of the old."

He hit the floor with his cane and raised his glass with a fiery heart. This was the moment he was waiting for all of his life. As one of the most patriotic people in the kingdom, he hated seeing the king act like he was the owner of this kingdom. His heart was beyond salvation and most importantly he was a puppet in other's hands. Therefore, he was getting rid of the tumor that had been gnawing the flesh of the kingdom.

The full moon had risen with countless figures in the darkness. The gloomy light of the moon illuminated the streets to warn them what was happening in them. Despite their grand size, the guards didn't come to stop their march since they were one of them.

Eldrich walked as the head of the revolutionary forces. His golden monocle and black gloves were elegant and perfect under the moonlight.

" Stop hiding and come out."

Eldrich said, looking at the dark alley with a cold look. He felt the presence of a woman who lurked in the darkness of the kingdom. She was famous for her beauty, but few knew her true nature. She was a predator, hiding under the skin of a sheep.

A gorgeous woman with a black laced dress came out from the alley with red blood dripping from her mouth. The revolutionaries gulped under her seductive look since she was inviting them to join her.

" Don't be so cold, general Eldrich. You know I like enjoying the dinner before my slumber."

The woman chuckled, twisting her slender waist to attract the men. However, Eldrich didn't change his expression. The core of this woman was a disgusting monster that preyed on men, so he hated looking at her since he could see the essence of every living being.

" What are you doing here, Margaret? Has society decided to hinder my plan?"

Eldrich said, showing his calm face. His eyes were locked on the face of the woman. Margaret put her finger on her lips as she was amused to see Eldrich who wasn't backing off from the strongest force in the west.

" Don't worry, my dear. We won't stop you because there is no profit and we will lose heavily. The southern gods will devour us if that happens. Besides, we have another plan in our mind."

Margaret spoke, showing her intent. The Scarlet Society wasn't idiotic enough to face this wise man who was famous for his gut and mind. Eldrich would never let them go if they start all-out war against him.

" Good. Although I blame you for this era, my hands will wash away your stains."

Eldrich's hands glowed brightly under her gaze. She could terrible thing that was sealed in his body. Whether he was devouring it or not, she was sure he wasn't joking around.

" Huhu, I know you are a tough nut to crack and I would love to taste you, but pity."

Margaret giggled as she went back to the dark. Eldrich could smell her perfume and this was enough to tickle most of the men except for him.
