Blood reached under his feet when he raised his head to look at the culprit behind the scene. He saw the old king impaled on the spear while trying to escape from the killer with horror on his old face. His royal crown and seal were no longer on his hand and his powerful figure was already dead in the area.

The soldiers knelt on the ground except for Eldrich. He simply dared to confront the killer with his iron will. The killer was sitting on the throne while cleaning his hand. His yellow eyes were sharp and his body was muscular. He had purplish hair like amethyst and his face was handsome enough to attract every woman in the city.

" You are late, grand scholar. I couldn't wait for you as I have ended his life by myself. You should have heard reasoning and pleas for his life. It was utterly disgusting and sad. To think he was the ruler of this kingdom and he had killed all those talents. What a waste of humans!"

The killer scorned, reminding the people that the king was foolish and useless in his eyes. He even killed his most loyal guards and kept the society guards around him. This had created a rift between the family which was already on verge of falling out. To prior this event, Constantine was the kindest prince and respected among all of his siblings even though they were the midst of a throne war. However, because of jealousy his father repeatedly accused his mother and tormented her until her suicide.

Constantine wept after his deceased mother- Queen Sandra with blood tears as his very mind was broken into pieces. He swore revenge on his mother's name and other people. Hence, he meticulously created an organization that he could use for his goal. He joined hands of those who were still loyal to the kingdom and oppose the king's way. Grand Scholar Eldrich, The Wolf General Ragnar, Heart Piercer Dion Siegfred, and Northern Frontier Marshal Edinburg agreed to join in his rebellion with a single condition.

They wanted to regain their former glory days and continue to spread their greatness. They wanted to protect their people. Therefore they agreed to join hands and form a new ruling power known as the council of the Bast. Although the king would be crowned under the normal premises, the council would have the power to cancel his order to create a perfect balance.

Eldrich reached out his inner pocket and threw out a handkerchief to Constantine. Constantine grabbed the handkerchief and cleaned his hand without much difficulty. He rested one of his arms on the armrest.

" So, what happened to the grand general and the society?"

He asked, knowing the grand general was still loyal to the king. The grand general was a thorn in his side, so he decided to remove him from the new kingdom. Besides, society was keeping close eye on him as well as the same applies to him. He was constantly playing chess with the society to take over the kingdom.

" Ragnar should have confronted him. Most likely he should be dead by now. As for society, they are still planning something in the shadow. Whether it would be good or bad, we have to prepare for it."

Eldrich replied, raising his arm to activate his magic. The blood-red magic circle appeared as they gobbled up the blood on the floor, leaving nothing behind. The hall returned to clean just like before.

" How convenient. They are giving us more time to organize our internal affairs."

Constantine frowned, realizing the situation wasn't that bright. He tapped on his throne to think about his future and the kingdom's fate.

" Eldrich, we will proceed to the coronation. I don't want our enemies to use this chance to invade us."

He continued to talk, showing his genius tactician side. Even though he was barely 20, Constantine was sharp and much wiser than his older or younger siblings. That's the main reason for his succession to the throne in this rebellion. He was a complex person who was fitted to be a king.
