The 12 Titans

Remember Gaia and Ouranos' first bunch of kids? I don't either.

Anyways, they were called the Titans, and there were 12 of them.

Now I know you want to say: "Can you explain them?"

Sure! Here are the twelve Titans in Greek mythology listed from oldest to youngest, along with what they are typically associated with:

1. Oceanus - Titan of the ocean

2. Coeus - Titan of intelligence and farsight

3. Crius - Titan of constellations and heavenly constellations

4. Hyperion - Titan of heavenly light and the father of the sun, moon, and also dawn

5. Iapetus - Titan of mortality and death

6. Theia - Titaness of sight and shining light

7. Rhea - Titaness of fertility and motherhood

8. Themis - Titaness of divine law and order

9. Mnemosyne - Titaness of memory and remembrance

10. Phoebe - Titaness of prophecy and oracular intellect

11. Tethys - Titaness of fresh water and nursing

12. Cronus or Kronos - Titan of time and the ages

They looked MUCH MORE decent than those younger brother of theirs, so Ouranos didn't really bother with them.

When Ouranos threw their younger brothers into Tartarus, they kind of felt bad for their mum, so they decided help her.

AND THIS IS NEVER GOOD NEWS.
