Chapter 4: Never Again

Hugging taiga from behind, I see she's finally calming down, as look down at her big pretty eyes.

"Taiga I was going to...." until I feel a small hand on my face.

Taiga "don't do it again renji.." looking up at me.

"Huh" trying to look at the ocean, just to have my face pulled down.

Taiga "never leave me again, please" I could hear the loneliness, yet longing to not be left behind again in her voice, as tears started to fill her eyes again.

"Never again" reaching my hand down to wipe them.

Taiga"..." reaching her hands out around my neck.

"Really" as I stood up with her hanging, around my neck.

Taiga "now renji! Down" looking at the ground.

"*sigh ok ok" leaning down as she goes around to my back, getting up so I can carry her.

"Where to now?" Turning my head back to see her laying her head on my back.

*growl

Taiga "hungry!...I dropped all my food back there" in her tsunade voice.

"Ok where then?" Walking forward.

Taiga "there a little place to eat next to the cafe" pointing, being lazy.

"Alright, but this first" spinning causing her to hold on for her life.

Taiga "ahh...renji...haha...put me down" giggling at me.

As I turn her around to face me after putting her down.

Taiga "come here" pointing at ground.

Leaning forward, she punched me in the face, then pulled my face down as she placed my her forehead, to mine.

Taiga" that's for leaving, and with me you don't need to hide them" laughing.

"Still, got a mean right hook, I know I don't" smiling, rubbing my chin like it hurt, opening my eyes.

Taiga "there still beautiful to me, better, let's go" thinking of the times she got to see them everyday, while I stand up.

"Ok, you never told me, why you here little tiger" walking forward.

Taiga "after all that happened, I focused on school, trying to keep my mind off things, you told me I could go far, all that school work....ahhh I guess this school took notice". Running in-front of me,grabbing my arms as we walked out of the garden.

"Haha so little tiger turned out to be smart, what class are you in?" Letting her do what she wants.

Taiga "tch, it's not like I had a drill sergeant, making me study till my brain hurt haha, I'm in class 1-D" looking up at me and giggling.

"I can't seem to remember that ha..how I didn't see you in the introduction, or my class" playing the fool.

Taiga "I got here late, you know how far I live from Tokyo, I meant some serious guy wearing glasses, and Sae the home room teacher, your in class 1-D too?" Tilting her head back.

"Yeah looks like will be seeing each other, well everyday for the next 4 years" while she turned to me, reaching down to lightly flicking her forehead.

Walking through the student accommodation facilities, people watched as a giant me and the little taiga, walked and talked, looking like a couple.

Finally making it to the small restaurant, walking in as the receptionist looked down at taiga, who held my arms infront of her, then up to me.

Restaurant worker "two?, outside or inside" as I'm off in my own world.

Taiga "what do you want?" Asking me, not getting a answer.

"Ahh.." what you do that for" as she bit my arm, kicking my leg. While I take a hand squeezing her head.

Restaurant worker "hehe cute" covering her mouth.

Taiga "ahhhh ok ok renji! where you want to eat? In or out?" Looking to me.

"Out I guess" rubbing the back of my head.

Restaurant worker "hehe....follow me" light giggling, seeing us to a table.

Seeing kikyo, with a bunch of guys and girls around her at a table, who turned then locked on to me, she said something to them, as she walked over.

Kikyo "renji right ?, why you here?" Looking over to see a small taiga.

"Well we were...." before.

Kikyo "she's so cute!" Rushing to her giving her a unwanted hug.

Taiga "hey!, get off me cow!" Trying to push her.

"Let her go kikyo....." looking at her.

Kikyo "awe....you do remember, well I'm kikyo, nice to meet you" Backing up speaking to taiga.

Taiga "..." who just looks at her, latching on to my arm.

"She's shy, kikyo I think your friends are waiting" looking over as the guys, turning there heads.

Kikyo "hehe, well I hope we can be friends, see you in class re-n-ji" trying to be cute, walking up to me trying to hug me but I saw it for a brief moment her eyes changed.

Taiga "tch" as I dodged the hug.

Kikyo "hehe" walking away, to the other students.

"*sigh" watching as taiga looks at her own chest, hovering her hand out infront of hers and pretending to squeeze.

Taiga "I don't like her, renji" looking at kikyo back.

"Is that cause her assets?" Wanting to laugh.

Taiga "no I don't like her smell, there's something off about her." Looking at me seriously.

"Listen to me taiga, stay away from her for now" nodding my head, she hasn't forgot things I've told her.

through the the night, eating and laughing, putting chop sticks in her nose, just for me to laugh as they get stuck and she attacks me to help her.

Restaurant workers "hehe so cute"

"They a couple?"

"She's like a little tiger, it's adorable aweeee"

"Yeah, like a pocket sized tiger hehe"

Eating, laughing and making a messy, I clean her nose because, she had juice come out of it.

"Your still so messy" taking a wipe to clean.

Taiga "thank...re" before getting her nose rubbed.

"Haha better" flickering for forehead. "your much more pretty like this" getting up, walking to pay for the food.

Taiga "hehe" rubbing her forehead that I flicked, looking at my back.

The restaurant workers look at this and all make a awe so cute face, taiga seeing this turns red then follows after me.

Coming up behind me grabbing the back of my shirt.

Taiga "*yawn" pulling two times on my shirt.

"*sigh Let's go,little tiger " knowing she wanted to leave.

Taiga "where now?" Rubbing her eyes.

"Like old times, movies in my room" walking to the door after paying.

Taiga "ok" following, holding my shirt, so she could only follow.

Walking out seeing kiyotaka and suzune who saw us, as the small taiga held on to my shirt, walking towards the dorms, but i say nothing, giving a nod to kiyotaka.

Suzune "more complicated then you said huh" walking away.

Kiyotaka "yeah" walking to his room.

Getting to my room opening to door not being here before it was clean, my bag was sitting on the bed, after opening my shirt a little taking off my shoes, taiga did the same, only taking her shoes off and ran to the couch, jumping on it as I go to the small kitchen like area, surprisingly snacks were here, coming back after pouring it in to a bowl. Throwing myself back on the couch she comes over putting her legs out on my lap, holding her hand out, demanding the bowl be given to her, after a while of movies laughing and her trying to hide her crying, seeing she was sleep, moving her legs and getting up I go to my bag grabbing shorts and a shirt and boxes going to take a shower, getting out pulling my boxers and shorts on about to put my shirt on, my back towards the door, the barcode like tattoos and the scars all over from the experiments were faded but still there.

*door slowly opening.

Taiga "renji" who had been looking through the crack in the door, wrapped her arms around me.

"Why are you up.." trying to say.

Taiga "renji, I know...I know they don't hurt anymore....*tears falling.....but what did they do to you, how could they put you through this" rubbing her hand across one long scar, a few of the barcodes, feeling her tears on my back.

"*sigh It's fine taiga, it was a long time ago, they...." stopping myself as flash's of memories hit my mind, turning around to her, knowing she wouldn't move, she's always like this when she sees.

Picking her up we walk back in the room area, I take a shirt out and give it to her.

"Here, you big baby" as she snatches it and goes to change.

Coming back I had already laid In bed knowing she probably wouldn't leave and say fuck the rules, she slides through the covers like a snake, going to the side of the bed she likes to sleep on.

Taiga "thank you" turning over, having her back facing me.

"Always I really did miss you taiga" reaching over rubbing her head, knowing she probably wanted to hide her red eyes.

As the night passed sleeping but not sleeping I open my eyes after feeling her grabbing at my shirt while she was sleeping, seeing her hands grip my shirt not letting it go I move closer.

Taiga "no...nonono...please...please renji don't leave me again!" In her sleep, shaking.

Hearing this I reach out pulling her to me resting my head on top of hers, and she curled into a ball, in my chest.

"Never again, I promise taiga" as I said this, her body stopped shaking but never let go of my shirt.

(A.N this is a little look at there relationship, he saved-her, she feels crippled with out him, as she is one of his only soft spots, he had showed her before what they did, but she knows he will only tell her when he's ready, she feels pain because she's scared they will take him again and she will never see him, as he will do anything to protect her, her knowing this, that he would risk it all even his body to make sure she's safe, btw yes he knows she's from a different anime he will act more like that but you come to a world a as for wishes and the god says ok but you'll have too go through pain, being experiments at on breaking his body and putting it back together just to break it again and him having to go through it of course he would attach to at least someone)
