[42] "Letta's Mafia"
[A few hours later]
In the vicinity of the battle scene, the figure of an elegantly dressed man is distinguished.
His impeccably coiffed hair and the cigarette in his mouth emanate an aura of refinement.
"Don Ezio, the people we sent to find Ares have disappeared," the man reported gravely.
"Are they dead?" asked Ezio with concern.
"We haven't found their bodies yet, but we think that's most likely," the man replied handing him a tablet.
Ezio reviewed the information on the screen and commented nonchalantly, "Most likely they've made the bodies disappear. They won't find them."
The man had no more news to deliver and bid Ezio farewell.
The latter, for his part, examined the screen of the tablet that showed a point marked on the map.
"They are useless the people I brought, I'm regretting not having brought .... whatever," Ezio mused as he continued reading.
"The mafia isn't going through a good time, it's better that the trusted people stay there. I have information that Ares is badly hurt, if I can find him soon I can take care of him."
Ezio zoomed in on the map and found the name of the streets. "I already know where to start my search. Rebecca was most likely in charge of making the people I sent disappear. She has space powers and it's very easy to leave no trace with them."
Ezio Latte left the place, thinking aloud, "The less time I delay, the better chance I have of finding him. I don't think he's gone too far being wounded."

[A few hours later]
In a vast plain, two people come face to face.
Ezio Latte, with a cigarette in his mouth, turns to Ares as he stares at him. "At last I find you, Ares," he says as he stomps on the cigarette.
Ares responds by taking off his cream-colored coat and tossing it aside. "I've been waiting for you, you took your time to find me," he says casually as he keeps his hands in his coat pockets.
Ezio frowns and says. "Rumor has it you're hurt and you're so arrogant."
Ares, laughing replies. "Are you foolish to believe the rumors?"
Ezio quietly mentions. "You had a fight with Hayden Gregory and that you didn't come out in perfect this one and you're hurt."
Ares replies sarcastically. "You're pathetic for seeking someone out based on a few simple rumors."
"SEO ARES...!" exclaimed Ezio with an ugly expression on his face, his eyes reflecting a colossal murderous intent. "Don't pretend in front of me. I'll make sure you die right here."
With a gesture, Ezio deployed his space isolation, covering the entire place.
Ares, for his part, responded with a mocking laugh, "Hehehehehehehe, I'll gladly do your bidding," as he raised his arm and shot several beams of light in Ezio's direction.
However, Ezio countered with an energy barrier, causing a large explosion that echoed throughout the area.
"Not bad," Ares commented, observing Ezio covered in blue light and with an angry expression on his face.
"Are you going to attack me or are you just a talker?" provoked Ares, waving his hand.
In response, Ezio mobilized his energy and created dozens of machine guns.
A loud buzzing sound flooded the air and the guns began firing in Ares' direction, launching millions of projectiles.
However, a huge wave of light formed and absorbed the projectiles.
"He has created a wave of light to absorb my projectiles," Ezio thought, as the wave approached him. But Ezio didn't give up, and launched a huge beam of energy that slammed into the wave of light, forming a huge explosion that cracked the ground of the plain.
Ares stares at Ezio and says. 'I have to finish it with a single blow, I won't be able to hold out much longer.'
At that moment, a gigantic golden aura is released from Ares' body, giving off beams of light in all directions and cracking the ground.
The beams of light manifest in the sky at incredible speed and descend towards the earth.
Ezio frowns and replies. "You want to end an attack? I won't let you off that easy." With determination, he raises his hand towards the sky as a celestial energy shoots out of the ground and rises to form an immense attack.
The two attacks collide at high altitude, creating an explosion that can be seen from hundreds of meters away.
A deafening roar echoes across the battlefield as the explosion rumbles and flashes loudly.
Ezio knows he must protect himself and quickly covers his body with an energy shield to protect himself from the massive explosion.
After Ares deploys his light shield, the dust settles and the devastation caused by the explosion is revealed.
Ezio has suffered the worst of the attack and the shockwave, with his right arm burned and unusable and his body covered in minor burns.
Ares is also injured, with his shield shattered and his body marked by minor wounds.
Ares sees an opportunity and disappears from the scene, appearing in front of Ezio with a killer attack.
Ezio is surprised when he sees a sharp attack about to hit his eye, but he reacts with incredible skill and manages to deflect Ares' hand, which cuts through the concrete floor instead.
In response, Ezio raises his left hand and launches a large energy beam.
Ares, with his incredible speed, dodges the attack and launches another killer attack, this time hitting Ezio's lower torso.
Ezio vomits blood when he sees Ares' arm pierce his stomach. He then launches another powerful attack, which Ares manages to dodge.
With his left hand on the hole in his stomach, Ezio fills his hand with blood and looks seriously at Ares. "I can't believe this is happening to me," he gasps as he coughs up blood.
After receiving a critical hit from Ares, Ezio realizes that he can't keep fighting and decides to flee without looking back, putting his honor on the back burner.
Ares, meanwhile, watches as Ezio escapes and begins to breathe heavily, his pale face indicating that he has suffered serious injuries.
Recognizing that he is not in his best condition and that he could attract trouble if found in that state, he decides that the best thing to do is to disappear.
At that moment, a white dragon appears before him.
"You're done," the dragon tells him.
"Yes, he got away," Ares replies.
"Not for long," interjects Silvia. "Rebecca wanted to chase it, though I don't know if she'll be able to finish it."
Ares is surprised to hear this. "He chased her?"
Silvia nods. "Yes, but I told her not to try anything crazy. Maybe this experience can help her in her training."
Ares nods and staggers a little, showing that he understands what Silvia is telling him.
Silvia looks at the pale Ares with concern and advises him to focus on recovering, as he has fought several times in a short period of time and his body is charged with various energies that may cause him problems in the future if he doesn't eliminate them properly.
Ares recognizes the importance of rest and recovery, and states that he will take a month off.
He also mentions that he has some business to attend to before retiring completely.
Silvia agrees and suggests that they walk away from the site.
Ares walks slowly, still feeling the effects of the fight, while Silvia follows him cautiously, making sure he is okay and that they can leave the place safely.
