[103] "Kayden Break v/s Qin Sheng"

Three figures descended from the sky, landing atop an imposing skyscraper.

Meanwhile, at a breathtaking speed, another trio of figures materialized before them. Their arrival was so instantaneous that it was nearly impossible to track their movement. The flashes of light surrounding them created a fleeting trail.

At that moment, a silence settled in the air. The six individuals locked eyes, as if familiar with each other despite never having spoken. Though no words were uttered, their gazes spoke volumes.

On the right side stood a young man with Asian features. His black hair cascaded over his shoulders, and his dark eyes shone with determination. His gaze fixed intensely on Ares, exuding an air of grandeur.

"Ares Seo... it was true," Qin Shuang said with an enigmatic smile.

Ares, hands in his pant pockets, observed him closely and responded with calm defiance, "I'm quite well-known... but who are you? You don't look familiar to me."

Qin Shuang, her face flushed with anger, responded with suppressed fury, "You don't know me? Are you unaware of the greatness of the Qin family? Our name has echoed through generations, our power is undeniable."

On the left side, there was an elderly, frail-looking man dressed in a monk's robe. His bald head and deeply piercing black eyes seemed to hold ancient wisdom. He observed Lisa with particular interest.

"I suppose you're the old Teng Zexian," Lisa remarked.

Qin Sheng Wei, on the other hand, directed his full attention towards Kayden, who had long, grayish hair and penetrating brown eyes.

Kayden, in turn, looked at the Asian elder with a certain indifference. After a brief moment of assessment, he shifted his gaze to the others present and let out a contemptuous remark, "Why am I stuck with an old man? Nobody knows this guy."

Upon hearing Kayden's disdainful words, a vein appeared on Qin Sheng Wei's forehead, and he erupted in anger. Roaring in frustration, he couldn't bear being ignored and belittled in such a manner. "How dare you look away from me?!" he exclaimed, his voice laden with indignation and challenge.

However, Kayden, in a gesture of complete nonchalance, scratched his ear and paid no heed to Qin Sheng Wei's enraged words.

Meanwhile, Lisa watched in astonishment at the interaction between Ares, Kayden, and their respective rivals, surprised by how effortlessly both of them managed to agitate and destabilize their opponents.

"Is that what I think it is?" Qin Shuang asked with palpable anxiety, directing her gaze toward the dragon perched on Ares' shoulder.

Both Teng Zexian and Qin Sheng looked gravely at Silvia, the dragon in question, surprised by the magnificence of its presence. Their thoughts intertwined instantly, wondering, 'Could it be true that the Long family possessed dragon blood?'

Ares, meanwhile, let out a slightly mocking laugh as he affectionately stroked Silvia. "For someone destined to die, you talk too much," he commented with a tone of disdain, challenging Qin Shuang.

"ARES SEO..." Qin Shuang muttered, angered by the other's provocation.

"Calm down," Qin Sheng intervened.

Qin Shuang looked at him, taking a deep breath to steady herself.

However, Ares couldn't resist adding a touch of mockery, "Yes, he's a daddy's boy," he said with an ironic smile.

Qin Shuang clenched her fist with arrogance and determination, her eyes sparkling with challenging intensity. "I will kill you," she boldly declared as she leaped forward. In that instant, she conjured an energy lance, its dark and golden gleams radiating an imposing and enveloping aura.

Ares looked at Silvia and telepathically said, "{Please create a spatial barrier and protect anyone who might be affected by our confrontation.}" Silvia casually hopped off Ares' shoulder, and an aura emanated from her body, rapidly expanding and covering the entirety of South Korea. She responded, "{I hope this will suffice. I'm tired and not thrilled about swatting flies.}"

Ares sighed with a smile, exuding a calm confidence. With a swift leap, his figure ascended into the air. In his right hand, he began to amass energy, forming a radiant sphere of light that seemed to shine with blinding brilliance. As the energy concentrated, a terrifying aura began to emanate from him, enveloping him in a potent and menacing atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Silvia descended from Ares' shoulder and landed on the ground, observing with a bored expression the impending clash of powers about to unfold.

The two attacks collided with devastating force, generating a massive explosion that swept through the surrounding area. The skyscraper and several nearby buildings were completely obliterated, reduced to debris and dust.

Ares descended from the sky instantly, with Kayden and Lisa swiftly following suit. Silvia returned to her place on Ares' shoulder, once again displaying her calm and serene presence.

Meanwhile, Qin Shuang, on the ground, observed her trembling and bloodied hand.

Qin Sheng and Teng Zexian descended from the sky, their gazes coldly fixed on Qin Shuang.

"Let's get to the point, shall we?" Kayden said with a smile.

Teng Zexian and Qin Sheng Wei looked at Kayden.

"Each of us will handle one of them," Qin Sheng commented.

Teng Zexian nodded, focusing his attention on Lisa and assuming a combat stance. Qin Shuang mimicked Teng Zexian's movements, keeping her icy gaze fixed on Ares.

Suddenly, Ares seemed to fade into thin air, and before Qin Shuang could comprehend what was happening, a powerful hand struck her face. Gripping her determinedly, Qin Shuang tried to free herself, but Ares used the same momentum to leap, taking Qin Shuang with him. Both of them ascended into the sky, reaching great heights.

Ares aimed for a rapid descent towards the surrounding buildings. Without pause, he hurled Qin Shuang, causing her to collide violently with the urban structure. The resounding sound of impact echoed through the air.

"Here we'll be free from any interruptions," Ares proclaimed with a triumphant smile as he elegantly landed atop one of the buildings.

On the ground, Qin Shuang rose with a serious and fiery look of anger. She touched her face, feeling the sharp pain from the collision, and fixed her furious gaze on Ares. "How dare you touch me?" she exclaimed with a hoarse and rage-filled voice.

With astonishment in their eyes, Qin Sheng and Teng Zexian watched as Ares suddenly appeared and carried Qin Shuang away, leaving them momentarily baffled.

Without wasting time, Lisa seized the opportunity and positioned herself in front of Teng Zexian. With a swift and powerful strike, she advanced toward him. Teng Zexian reacted swiftly, shielding his body with both hands, but the force of the impact propelled him backward, causing him to crash into several buildings over several meters.

Seeing this, Qin Sheng quickly attacked Lisa, but Kayden appeared and struck him with his fist. Qin Sheng defended himself by placing his hand in front, and the impact pushed him back a few meters.

Observing the situation, Qin Sheng attacked Lisa again. However, at that moment, Kayden entered the scene and delivered a forceful blow. Qin Sheng defended himself, placing his hand to mitigate the impact, yet he was still pushed back due to the intensity of the attack.

Kayden and Lisa exchanged a silent glance and nodded. Lisa withdrew, following Teng Zexian, while Kayden readied himself to face Qin Sheng alone.

"We're alone now, let the fun begin!" Kayden exclaimed, his body surrounded by a blue aura.

The air grew tense, with Qin Sheng, irritated, starting to levitate, releasing a powerful and dazzling golden aura tinged with black. With determination in his voice, he warned Kayden, "You have no idea of the vastness of the world, and... today I'll make sure you learn."

In the sky, a halberd began to take form in Qin Sheng's right hand, exquisite dragon engravings giving it the appearance of a mystical and formidable weapon. "You're dead," Qin Sheng coldly declared as he hurled the halberd toward Kayden.

Kayden smiled confidently, his hand starting to generate electricity. The halberd approached rapidly, and instantly, Kayden unleashed a massive lightning bolt.

The collision resulted in a dazzling explosion, a column of fire rising into the night sky and illuminating the surrounding darkness.

The force of the destructive clash led to the destruction of several nearby buildings, and the resounding boom echoed throughout the area.

Finally, the column of fire faded, and amidst the smoke and ash, Kayden and Qin Sheng locked eyes.

Surprise reflected on Qin Sheng's face as he calmly observed and said, "What a surprise."

With an arrogantly smug smile, Kayden disappeared in a blue flash, moving at astonishing speed. In the blink of an eye, he appeared before Qin Sheng, unleashing a powerful blow charged with electricity, accompanied by a deafening roar.

Qin Sheng countered Kayden's attack with a swift strike. The two fighters clashed once more, releasing an explosion.

Qin Sheng sped towards Kayden, and when he was close enough, he skillfully launched his halberd.

Kayden agilely spun in place, evading the oncoming halberd. With the same momentum, he executed a powerful leap, ascending into the sky while extending his hand toward Qin Sheng. Suddenly, a potent bolt of electricity surged from his palm, its intensity dazzling as it headed for his adversary.

Taken aback, Qin Sheng acted on instinct. With a swift motion, he summoned his halberd before him, gripping it firmly as he placed it between himself and the lightning bolt. The electric energy enveloped the halberd and crackled around it, failing to touch Qin Sheng.

Kayden floated in a blue halo, surrounded by electricity. Above him, dark clouds slowly swirled, gradually becoming infused with electricity, shaping into a sea of electrical energy.

With a furrowed brow, Qin Sheng swiftly assumed an attacking stance, while a golden and black aura, no less powerful than Kayden's, began to slowly spread across the ground, dividing the world in two.

"(Divine Judgment)," Kayden murmured with a sinister tone, relishing the confrontation.

"(Emperor's Return)," Qin Sheng retorted disdainfully, as an imposing figure clad in majestic armor, wielding Qin Sheng's halberd, suddenly appeared, growing and power.

An immense bolt of electricity descended. The towering figure, wielding the halberd, launched it with unbridled fury, releasing a destructive aura in its wake.

The collision of the two stunning attacks resulted in a massive explosion that tore through everything in its path and reverberated with a deafening roar.

After the terrifying scene subsided and the dust settled, Kayden could be seen with minor cuts on his body, wiping blood from his mouth. On the other hand, Qin Sheng appeared physically unharmed, but his halberd was shattered, and intense pain gripped his head.

Qin Sheng was both terrified and amazed to see his halberd shattered. He held his head in his hands, trying to endure the excruciating pain he felt. 'The imperial weapon is indestructible... How could it shatter?' he questioned, completely stunned. 'Has this never happened to anyone in the family for generations?'. The throbbing pain continued to hammer his head, and amidst the anguish, he considered an unsettling possibility. 'They say our power comes from the soul... Could it be that damage to our weapon reflects as this unbearable head pain?'

Qin Sheng opened his eyes in surprise as he saw Kayden appear before him. Desperately, he attempted to muster his power to defend himself, but he realized it was extremely difficult, nearly impossible. Unable to do anything to protect himself, Kayden's blow landed squarely in his stomach, releasing electricity that spread in all directions.

A large explosion formed around him, and Qin Sheng was forcefully thrown backward, spewing blood from his mouth due to the violence of the impact.

Exhausted and sore, Qin Sheng struggled to stand as he continued to vomit blood. With his stomach gravely wounded, he observed Kayden approaching slowly, a sinister and malevolent smile on his face, enthralled by the combat. Desperation overtook him as he realized that all the buildings in the area had vanished, leaving him with nowhere to escape.

Clutching his stomach wound with his hand, Qin Sheng immersed himself in his thoughts with frustration and pain. 'Damn it... How did I end up at this point? This cursed headache is killing me, and I can barely channel my energy properly.' He clenched his fist in anger.

Kayden advanced with firm steps, his eyes gleaming with an almost unhinged excitement. "Let's continue... this is only the beginning," he declared with an evil smile.

His words echoed in Qin Sheng's ears, sending a shiver down his spine. 'This damn lunatic…' he thought.

With astonishing speed, Kayden sprinted toward Qin Sheng, who materialized a translucent halberd in his left hand, although it didn't appear as imposing as before. He hurled it directly at his adversary.

With a triumphant smile on his face, Kayden struck the halberd forcefully, shattering it completely. Qin Sheng, feeling a mixture of pain and humiliation, vomited blood and, disregarding his honor, decided to flee the scene.

"Damn son of a bitch... Don't run, come and fight!" Kayden shouted angrily as he pursued him.

With each step, Kayden drew closer to Qin Sheng. Without hesitation, he focused his power and unleashed a powerful lightning bolt toward his enemy. The bolt surged with unstoppable force, illuminating the air with electric sparks as it headed straight for Qin Sheng.

Cleverly, Qin Sheng noticed the bolt from the corner of his eye and reacted quickly, leaping to the side to successfully dodge it. However, before he could fully recover, Kayden emerged out of nowhere and struck him with overwhelming force. The impact was so brutal that Qin Sheng had no time to react and ended up vomiting blood and becoming embedded in the ground.

With a satisfied smile on his face, Kayden channeled his power once more and unleashed another powerful lightning bolt that engulfed Qin Sheng completely.

After a moment, the radiance faded, and Kayden descended from the sky. There was no trace of Qin Sheng; he had vanished completely.

Kayden surveyed the surroundings. Where there were once buildings and life, now only lay a vast, destroyed, and desolate plain.

'I should go see how the others are faring,' Kayden thought before disappearing.
