[102] "Han Seongik v/s Gheorghe Gisbert"

[Elsewhere in South Core]

Han Seongik narrowed his eyes, fixing a serious gaze on the man in front of him.

Han Seonhik arched an eyebrow, his piercing gaze riveted on the man. "What brings you here, Gheorghe Gisbert?" he asked with a mixture of curiosity and distrust in his voice.

Gheorghe let out a sarcastic laugh as he launched his provocation. "Oh, Han Seongik, you used to be considered the strongest desperado in South Korea, but now you're just a retired old man," he commented with a smirk on his face.

Then, his expression turned grim, and his face took on an unpleasant appearance. Gheorghe spoke seriously as he challenged Han Seongik. "What makes you think you have the right to stop me?"

Han Seongik frowned, holding his hands calmly behind his back in a relaxed and friendly posture. "We are going through difficult times in this country," he replied serenely, "and it is our responsibility to take appropriate action."

Gheorghe, visibly enraged, let his aura unleash, emanating intense energy. An arm of dark energy materialized in front of him, while his face took on a demonic appearance. In a menacing voice, he uttered. "Do you want to die?"

At that instant, a powerful shockwave emerged violently from Gheorghe's body, unleashing a huge explosion that spread in all directions.

The destructive force of the blast shook the surroundings, creating chaos and destruction in its wake. The impact was so powerful that the ground shook, and nearby objects flew away, engulfed in flames and debris.

The scene was shrouded in a cloud of dust and smoke, as the devastating power of the explosion became apparent.

At breakneck speed, a spatial isolation began to spread across the area, enveloping everything in its path.

Han Seongik quickly reacted to the threat and placed his hands in front of him to protect himself. However, as he came into contact with the energy, he felt a part of his own power gradually fade away.

Determined to counteract this loss, Han Seongik channeled even more energy through his hands, concentrating all his power to counteract the weakening he was experiencing.

As debris fell to the ground from the devastated buildings, the dust from the great destruction slowly began to dissipate. In the midst of the scene, Han Seongik emerged unharmed, showing no sign of damage to his figure.

On the other hand, Gheorghe displayed a frown, revealing his annoyance at having failed to completely weaken Han Seongik.

"I note that you have not lost your powers... and there are rumors circulating about your retirement due to your advanced age and diminishing abilities," Gheorghe commented with a smirk.

Han Seongik fixes his serious gaze on Gheorghe and replies with a tone of disdain, "Young people today..."

"(Disintegration)," Gheorghe muttered between his teeth, as he clasped his hands together, forming a perfect triangle. In the center of the triangle, right in front of him, stood Han Seongik, who cautiously watched the growing energy emanating from the formation.

A grayish triangle emerged with impressive speed, powered by a powerful aura of destruction.

It was heading straight for Han Seongik, obliterating everything in its path without a trace. The devouring aura turned everything it touched to dust, leaving only emptiness and desolation in its wake.

Han Seongik frowned, adopting a determined combat stance.

Suddenly, an immense aura was released from his body, enveloping him in a titanic sphere of energy. With a swift and precise gesture, just as Gheorghe's attack was in front of him, Han Seongik struck hard at the center of the triangle, unleashing an explosion of devastating power that shattered the attack into a thousand pieces.

Debris from the scattered attack floated in the air, as Han Seongik stood tall, defiant in the face of his opponent.

Gheorghe watched in astonishment as his powerful attack vanished into thin air, while an intense gust of wind impacted his face, shaking his hair and clothes. With a mixed expression of astonishment, Gheorghe pinned his gaze on Han Seongik and uttered in a tone filled with disbelief, "How come you are so strong?"

Gheorghe, in a voice tinged with surprise, added, "Your power is not supposed to reach this level. Even at your best, you're barely ranked in the top 50 in the world rankings."

Han Seongik, without uttering a word, kept his usual carefree and calm face as he fixed his gaze on Gheorghe.

Gheorghe sighed coldly as he uttered, "It's common to hide your powers, but I have no time to waste on you..."

Then, he continued with an icy stare at Han Seongik and asked, "From what you have told me, you know what is happening in your country... tell me, where is Ares?"

Han Seongik sighed and placed his hands behind his back, replying, "I don't know...we don't leak that information."

Gheorghe, with a small smile on his face, replied, "But the information came out of this country. Who leaked it?"

With a cold tone, Han Seongik stated, "You have only come to this country to cause trouble. Settle your issues with Ares elsewhere." Then he added indifferently, "Get out of this country."

The smile on Gheorghe's face disappeared, and his expression became unpleasant as he said coldly, "Han Seongik...you have bored me."

Gheorghe released a gray aura that spread throughout the battlefield, enveloping every corner with its ominous presence. The aura seemed to merge with the spatial isolation itself, generating an oppressive and defiant atmosphere.

Suddenly, tiny glowing particles began to detach themselves from the surrounding objects. Although moving at an almost imperceptible speed, these particles began to gradually vanish into thin air.

Gheorghe spoke viciously, letting out his words full of resentment and determination, "After my defeat by that cursed one, the only thing I did was to become stronger. I must thank you, for thanks to that encounter, my power has increased at a speed I could not even have imagined." His tone reflected a mixture of rancor and satisfaction.

Han Seongik, feeling somewhat uneasy, sensed his awakened energy slowly being consumed and thought. 'This is not right... this ability shown in incredible, I am still. But I use of power to imbibe the environment and make his opponent slowly lose his powers, the longer this confrontation lasts, the more chance he has of winning.'

Without wasting any time, Han Seongik lunged towards Gheorghe at an impressive speed.

However, Gheorghe reacted quickly by moving his hands deftly. Using the particles of his power scattered in the environment, he created multiple triangles, intending to attack Han Seongik.

Han Seongik, with impressive speed, managed to dodge Gheorghe's attacks and continued to advance towards him without stopping. Suddenly, however, a huge triangle forms in front of Han Seongik, blocking his advance.

Before he can react, the triangle lunges towards him with devastating force, hitting him full force and destroying him instantly.

Gheorghe quickly backs away, trying to keep a safe distance between him and Han Seongik. However, despite his best efforts, Han Seongik approaches with breakneck speed and throws a mammoth punch towards Gheorghe.

Gheorghe, aware of the unfavorable situation, quickly takes cover as he is sent backwards by the force of the impact. It crashes into the surrounding buildings, generating a shower of debris and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. After a moment of immobility, Gheorghe rises from the wreckage, his gaze fixed on Han Seongik.

"This won't do me any good.... Even if I didn't unleash my full power, I used it quite a bit.... I didn't expect this old man to be so strong. And to think he hides so much from the world," Gheorghe thinks furiously.

"You surprise me, old man," Gheorghe said as he wiped his attire, restoring it to its gleaming appearance.

"But we can't continue our confrontation, though I assure you that the next time we meet, I will take revenge for getting in my way," Gheorghe said menacingly as he pondered. 'If I continue to spend my power recklessly, it would not suit me,' he thought.

Before Han Seongik can respond, a terrifying aura comes into existence, accompanied by a powerful wind that can be felt in the distance.

Both fighters turn their gaze towards the source of the disturbance and are shocked to witness three huge explosions that obliterate everything in their path within a radius of dozens of kilometers.

The explosions unleash unprecedented devastation, generating a shock wave that sweeps away buildings, trees and everything in its path. The sky is tinged with flames, and a cloud of debris and dust rises into the air.

Gheorghe contemplates this terrifying scene and thinks. 'Has anyone from the top 10 come here?... I must go,' he quickly walks away from the scene.

In amazement, Han Seongik observes the incredible power and thinks. 'Isn't that aura from Ares and Kayden? And whose is that other powerful aura that I've never felt before?'

....

[In the neighborhood of Jiwoo].

In the darkness of the night, the neighborhood was enveloped in an ominous silence, broken only by the whisper of the wind blowing through the deserted streets.

Lying on the ground lay dozens of motionless bodies, each dressed in impeccable suits that once looked elegant and full of life. Now, however, their chests showed a deadly hole, as if someone had aimed directly at their heart and mercilessly extinguished it.

Dark scarlet liquid gushed from their mouths, staining their lips and dripping slowly to the floor.

Elsewhere, Jisuk, Subin and Wooin are glimpsed kneeling on the ground with their bloodied bodies. Their wounds seem to testify to the brutality of the battle they have fought.

Blood, in great dark streams, trickles from their bodies, forming ghoulish crimson rivers that stain the ground beneath them.

Before them stands Dran, holding Jiwoo by the neck with a sinister expression drawn on his face. Jiwoo, badly wounded, struggles for breath as his eyes meet his adversary's malevolent gaze.

Dran seems to enjoy Jiwoo's agony, a devilish smile curving his lips, revealing his perverse satisfaction.

"For being considered Kayden's disciple and Ares' younger brother, you're no big deal," Dran commented.

Then he added coldly, "I won't tell you again. Show me Kayden's force control."

Jiwoo fixed his piercing eyes on Dran's, holding his gaze with determination before answering haltingly, his words echoing in the air laden with defiance. "In your dreams."

Dran sketched a mischievous grin as, without hesitation, he threw a punch straight at Jiwoo's stomach. The impact was devastating, and instantly, Jiwoo's figure hunched over in agony.

A groan of pain escaped his lips as he clutched his hands to his belly, until he vomited blood.

"Jiwoo!" exclaimed Jisuk, Subin and Wooin in unison, their voices full of anguish and worry, staring in horror at the scene.

In the darkness, Dark watched the situation with obvious unconcern.

A terrifying rumble echoed through the area, shaking the ground and filling the atmosphere with a deafening sound. The infernal roar sent a wave of alarm and fear through everyone present. Without warning, in the blink of an eye, a powerful gust of wind hit everyone with indescribable force.

The bodies of Jisuk, Subin, Wooin and were violently tossed about, their clothes flapping frantically as they struggled to keep their balance.

Everyone's gazes were drawn to three terrifying columns of fire, towering hundreds of feet into the sky.

Unexpectedly, a terrifying shockwave was unleashed, advancing at inhuman speed and obliterating everything in its path.

A heavy silence fell over the place as everyone watched in disbelief at the unleashed powers and the massive destruction that accompanied them. Their faces reflected a mixture of awe, horror and fascination at the magnitude of what they were witnessing.

Undetected, a dark blue portal stealthily materialized just behind Dran. Suddenly, Rebecca emerged from the depths of the portal.

A sudden tingle ran through Dark's body, alerting him to a nearby presence. Wasting no time, his gaze quickly darted to Dran, indicating a possible threat. Dran, intrigued by Dark's reaction, turned in that direction and his eyes met those of a woman who had appeared out of nowhere.

The woman wore an elegant suit, her black hair cascading over her shoulders and her blue eyes piercing.

Surprise and confusion flashed across Dran's face as he tried to comprehend how this woman had gotten there.

"How did you get here?" asked Dran, puzzled and wary of this enigmatic woman's presence.

Subin, Jisuk and Wooin watched the mysterious woman with a mixture of disbelief and doubt, not quite understanding what was happening.

But before they could react, the woman calmly uttered words that chilled everyone's blood. "I have no time to waste with you."

At that very instant, Dran's body disintegrated into thousands of drops of blood, dispersing into the air like a macabre spectacle.

Horror and disbelief were reflected on the faces of those who witnessed that shocking scene.

Jiwoo fell to the ground, weak and wounded, but just at that moment, a portal formed beneath him.

Rebecca wrapped her hand around his waist and firmed her position, preparing for what was to follow.

The unfolding events left everyone present perplexed.

Jiwoo, with difficulty, looked at Rebecca and tried to speak, but his words were interrupted.

Rebecca turned her gaze to Dark and warned. "Get out of here before you get involved in something you don't want."

In the blink of an eye, he released his aura menacingly, causing Subin, Jisuk and Wooin to feel a shiver run through their bodies, paralyzing them with fear.

Surprise flashed across their faces as they witnessed Rebecca transform into a terrifying demon.

Instantly, the three young men's vision was interrupted and they lost consciousness. A portal swallowed them without a trace, vanishing from the scene along with Rebecca and Jiwoo.

Dark frowned, uneasily observing everyone's disappearance. He muttered the name "Rebecca Brown", trying to fit the pieces of this riddle together.

Then, he focused his attention on the gradually extinguishing columns of fire.

'I must go,' Dark thought, a resolute determination in his gaze. 'I don't know what's going on, but those powers aren't from normal people. And that aura I felt... it's Kayden's. Wasn't he supposed to be severely injured and unrecoverable?'
