An unpleasant awakening

When I opened my eyes, the first thing that hit me was how alive the world was. Without turning, every part of the surface world is seen by my countless eyes. old-growth forest, icy deserts or even the planet core became a feast for my eyes. That enjoyment, however, does not last too long. As I watched in fascination, something began to bother me.

I'm just an ordinary 22-year-old student with nothing special to stand out. The last thing I remember is that I went to sleep after finishing learning, in preparation for the exams. I don't remember my death, does that mean I died?

I feel a slight sadness, and around me, countless disasters began to form. The grounds began to creak, the winds howled, and nature itself mutated according to my emotions. After a while those disasters suddenly stopped.

"Wait, what is that... I seem to remember something. Are they my power? Are they my servants?" I began to create a horde of creatures that might answer my question. Guided by instinct, I cut one of my giant tentacles. It falls into the forest below me, crushing it under the immense weight.

Then slowly, from my tentacles, they started to come out. They are my spawn. An immediate bond began to form upon their birth, showing me their simple emotions and desires. They observe the cracks around them with great interest. Their eyes darted back and forth between the uprooted trees around them and me.
