chapter 49-jump or be jumped

I jumps down, the water was actually less than it was before, I even felt the heat, the water was boiling, I clenched my teeth tighter.

Sweat rolled down my spine, it hurt. I wasn't a pain tolerance guy, but we can't hesitate now due to the pain.

My body, as a half-elf, was quick on my feet. The weight of my body and my gear didn't weigh me down as I darted through the water.

The dark knight seemed to sense my footsteps in the water as I made splashing sounds.

As it swung its broad sword, which was the equivalent to my size, a claymore, yet it only needed one hand to wield such a massive thing. But it was also slow, as I unexpectedly jumped on the sword and ran on its blade.

The dark knight was confused but seemed to get the jest of my tactic as it turned its wrist and the sword as well. But in that moment, I jumped into the air.

My body was light, so this wasn't a problem.

The sword changed its trajectory, trying to slash at me in mid-air.

But suddenly, chains appeared, wrapping around the dark knight's sword. It was Tommy, who pulled the chain to pull the sword away from me. This was a tug of war between the two walking limbs of metal.

The distracted dark knight lost its focus, as I stabbed two daggers within its eye sockets. I then summoned another pair of daggers and stabbed them into the side of the helmet. As I used my grip and swung outside down, using the hilts of my daggers as handles, I swung within my mid-air position using my knee with enough force to break and shatter the face guard, breaking it, with enough impact for it to stagger backward, dropping its sword and grabbing its face.

There was no blood, but there seemed to be dark black fog, sweeping out of the cracks.

At least these things weren't humans, so we didn't need moral justification to kill such creatures. It may seem like racist logic, but the situation seems to be a fight and survival kind of solution.

I reached down for the sword that fell below the water, and I stole it, keeping it within my pocket dimension.

The dark knight seemed to rust in that moment, its armor turned into a brown and black rusty armor.

The trick we pulled seemed easy, but the precision and timing were the real reasons it fell, plus we gambled on that attack. But it seemed like luck kept changing from bad to good every few seconds.

I then heard a shout of alarm. "James, watch out! Dodge!"

I watched in the mist as a sound of moving armor resounded beside me in the steam. I was foolish to think that we were the only ones who would think of such tactics.

I saw within my vision a sword cutting, cleaving my body, ready to open me up. I wasn't ready for that just yet, as the blade got closer and closer.

My eyes shrank, my heart slowed, but my feet moved faster. My blood flow was stable, more in control. Instinct kicked in at the moment of primal fear of death, and the desperation of survival, the will to live imbued me in that moment.

To use my arm and sway my body sideways, flipping my body upside down, my hand doing a handstand in mid-air as I grasped onto the wrist of the enemy who tried to cut me down. My balance came in clutch as I was still stuck in that position. I then flipped again, kicking the helm of the creature with my legs, its head rocking downward.

I landed on my feet, summoning the daggers once more. I closed the distance, yet it seemed to react to my attack this time, as it guarded itself with its sword.

I smiled this time, my theory before seems like an impossibility, but once I was able to prove it, that gave me the confidence that this move was possible, and maybe a winning edge to this confrontation.

I reached my palm out, this time i was sure of my abilities of stealing inanimate objects, as I stole the blade within its hand. I wasn't sure if I could do this before, but I tested it just before this.

It was unarmed this time. Tommy flanked its sides unexpectedly with speed far faster than a giant body could handle.

Grabbing the sides of the waist beside its back and forming two chains connecting together around the legs and waist of the creature, Tommy tried to Supplex the damn thing.

"Jay, hurry! This fatass is too heavy."

As it was struggling to escape its hold, I quickly dashed forward, throwing the daggers towards its eye sockets, successfully hitting the fifth eyeball today. I then leaped into the air, performing a drop kick.

My feet connected to the daggers impacted within its helmet, as I kicked them in further, like a chisel.

Tommy, on the other hand, used the momentum to successfully perform his Supplex, lifting its body, trying to put his back into it, as he smashed it headfirst into the concrete underneath the water, creating a giant water splash and breaking the floor underneath.

Tommy's inhuman strength comes from his race card, which enables him to perform superhuman feats never seen before.

Expected from him.
