Chapter 54: X-People

Currently, the teenagers were puking their guts out as rainbows flew. Dodging for their lives as Ise and Vali pelted them with spells.

"Those spells aren't even that strong, we actually use them to tickle ourselves." Ise raised a brow.

Her logic has been affected by the dragons that she interacts with everyday.

"Hah, hah, how is that weak!? You monstrous kids!" Natsume dropped on the ground and she tried to catch her breath.

"C-can't you go a little easier?" Tobio frowned and he was being licked by his puppy with worry. Skoll and Hati then sneered at the two of them for being weak.

"Wan!" (I'll definitely beat you up later!) Canis Lycaon glared at Fenrir's sons.

"Heh, we'd like to see you try." The two smirked at it with a toothy grin and the black puppy snarled.

"T-this is insane you know? Why do we even have to dodge so hard?" Kouki huffed and puffed on the ground.

"Because you are weak, you are not strong. Your sacred gears are the ones who do your work. Hmph, such weakness will lead you to burn in the blazing fires of Gehenna!" Vali puffed her chest and Ise winced.

"Well, to translate what this chuuni said. You have a really obvious weakness. And that is your squishy bodies that could get stabbed like this." Ise formed a knife hand and she stabbed it right through a concrete pillar.

The teenagers paled as they imagined themselves getting hit by Ise. It showed them how ridiculously strong she was.

"D-did her fingers just fucking bore a hole through solid concrete?" Kouki was flabbergasted.

"Umu, and imagine this pillar as your body. You'll be dead in one hit. I guarantee you that." Ise explained and they shuddered.

"Hmph, this brunette fool has explained well. Let this Vali-sama expound further. Independent type sacred gears can be used to attack at long range." She formed a little illusion of Albion and showed him to rampage on a battlefield.

The teenagers watched intently and then, Vali formed an image of the three.

"But with your foolishness that doubts this valuable training. You will end up like this." Vali controlled the illusions and they got killed by a simple stab from a Mook that got closer to them.

"Your doubts are foolishness. Might controls everything. If you are weak, your sacred gear can't protect you forever." Vali slicked back her hair and Ise shivered at her display of chuuniness.

"Fuck, that's making me cringe. What a goddamned weirdo." Ise looked at her with disgust and Vali glared at her.

"Hmph, your little brain can't comprehend greatness, Ise. What a fool you are." Vali shook her head wistfully.

They then started having a fist fight as the teens looked at Mordred and Mo-chan who were discussing something.

"Do we really need to bring them here, master? I don't think they are needed though? These people we are against are just some simple humans with magic." Mo-chan tried to dissuade him.

"That is a valid reason, Mo-chan. But do understand. I need to give the budding protectors of my faction a mission." Mordred announced with finality and she shrugged.

He then formed a magic circle and a group of kids appeared.

"Sir Mordred! Where are the enemies? Are we under siege? Do we have to secure the perimeter? Le Fay Pendragon, at your service!" Le Fay saluted with a serious expression.

He chuckled and patted her head at being a little cutie. "Le Fay, we called you here as support. You guys will be leading the mission with Mo-chan as the leader." Mordred pointed at Mo-chan.

"Yo, I am Mordred Pendragon. And yes, we're technically related... Probably." Mo-chan pointed at him and they were gobsmacked.

"Uhhh, is that why you call her Mo-chan?" Lint raised her hand and Mordred nodded.

"Lavinia has dubbed her to be Mo-chan, while I am Mo-kun. Don't get it wrong alright?" Mordred explained and they saluted.

"Hah, isn't there a better nickname to give me? How about just my class name; saber?" Mo-chan didn't really want anyone else weaker to call her that.

"Acceptable, only call her Mo-chan if she agrees." Mordred ordered and they nodded.

"Saber-san, are you perhaps the Mordred that killed king Arthur?" Arthur fixed his glasses and was really curious about the history of their family.

"I don't wanna talk about it." Mo-chan's mood turned sour.

"Sorry, it was rude of me to ask that." Arthur bowed and Mo-chan was pleased that he didn't pry further.

"Um, Mordred-sama. What's our mission parameters?" Siegfried who was given another demonic sword; a replica of Gram called Gram lite was eager to prove himself.

It was made by Mordred and Scathach. Using their scales, claws, and fangs as ingredients. And Scathach was happy to work with a phantasmal beast's raw materials.

So it is basically a new legendary sword. It is weaker than Gram. But it's a dragonslayer that's much stronger than saint George's Ascalon.

"We will be infiltrating the Utsusemi organization. They are being helped by Azazel's ilk. And this is going to be a pretty nice operation for you guys." Mordred smiled and they were honored.

"Thank you for entrusting this to us Mordred-sama." Freed bowed and the others followed.

"No worries, you need experience. And this will be a great start." Mordred was pleased that they could have a low risk mission.

"Unlike the church who sends exorcists to their deaths. We need to hone you to be independent first." Mordred will be giving them tons of experience first before sending them in solo missions.

"Bonjour! We are here, Mordred!" Jeanne appeared in a magic circle with Irina and Xenovia. She then ran at him and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Jeanne, nice to see you. Can you give the sword users some holy swords?" Mordred pointed at Arthur, Freed, Siegfried, and Lint.

"Oui, anything for you monsieur." Jeanne gave them some holy swords using blade blacksmith and Siegfried requested five more.

"I guess the current members of the X-People are here." Xenovia looked around.

"Mou, Mo-kun. Why is our name X-People? Isn't that too simplistic?" Irina pouted at him.

"Well, isn't it fine? I think we'll have problems if I call you X-Men." Mordred shrugged and Irina rolled her eyes.

"Rin, it's nice to see you again." Ise smiled at her and Irina hugged her tightly.

"I haven't seen you guys in ages. Let's hang out after we finish this mission." Irina beamed at them.

"How's your control with Durandal, Xenovia?" Mordred looked at Xenovia and she took out a blue great sword that was sealed with chains.

"She's a bit unruly, but it gets the job done." Xenovia shrugged and she stabbed it on the floor.

"Well, let's get this mission started." Mordred snapped his fingers and gave the teens that were dodging for their lives some stamina.

__Underworld__

"Rizevim-sama, it seems that Mordred Pendragon is making a move against a rogue faction made up of the exiles of the five principal clans." Euclid Lucifuge reported to his liege.

"Hmmm, is that so? It was a shame that Loki didn't manage to kill him. Even with Fenrir's help." Rizevim swirled a glass of wine.

"Your orders, my liege." Euclid kneeled and Rizevim grinned.

"Do you know what devils are in essence, Euclid?" Rizevim had a mad grin on his face.

"Forgive me my liege, this lowly one does not know. Please enlighten me." Euclid shook his head and Rizevim sighed.

"Hmph, very well. It is something that my father forgot after he killed grandfather. With Asmodeus and Beelzebub dead after the war. He lost his will to become the devil." Rizevim frowned.

"Did you know? He wanted to go back to the underworld and lost his drive? He was the devil. It was his job to spread chaos and evil all throughout the world." Rizevim shook his head wistfully.

"But when he killed his father, that changed. My idol, my father. The one who shaped me, the one who I admired the most." Rizevim looked at empty space blankly.

"The devils didn't need that kind of Lucifer. A devil that does not want to spread the seeds of strife and chaos is not a devil. More so the devil that humanity fears." Rizevim started laughing.

"So I killed him and the original Leviathan! Guhahaha! It is all to preserve the devil's myth and legend. Aren't I a good son?" Rizevim smiled.

"I love father too much. And seeing him turn into a husk of his former self would be too cruel, wouldn't you agree, Euclid?" Rizevim smirked and Euclid nodded.

"The devil that lost his darkness would lead a life of scrutiny. It was a mercy that you killed him my liege." Euclid replied.

"Right? Right!? Then I gave mother the devil's sleeping disease to preserve her. So our race could come back as the 72 pillars once again. And I think you know what I am thinking, Euclid." Rizevim laughed like a maniac.

"Yes, Rizevim-sama. I will be sending Nilrem to Japan. We need to cause chaos and destruction as devils after all. It is the reason why I have gathered those puny mages." Euclid bowed.

"Good, good. I wonder how they'll handle this? How about you also send one of the heirs? Make them prove their usefulness?" Rizevim chuckled.

"I see, that is indeed a great idea. Of the three, who should I send, Rizevim-sama?" Euclid thought of the three remaining heirs of the true Satans.

"I heard that Mordred Pendragon really likes women. Tiamat even went to Asgard to destroy them due to him developing such tastes. Honestly, the devils should look up to him." Rizevim chortled.

"He is greedy, wrathful, lustful, and most of all. Has pride like no other. Ahhhh, how I wish that we could have picked him up rather than Tiamat." Rizevim got disappointed.

"Then Katarea Leviathan it is. By your will." Euclid bowed and he exited the room.

"Let's see how they could defend against thousands of attackers?" Rizevim chuckled and thought that Mordred will be downcast after seeing many people die.

And as a devil, seeing a righteous person wallow in despair is such a delicious sight.

__Japan__

The X-People and the teens were currently being ran ragged by Saber. "Kick your asses to gear, plant those barrier cores like you mean it!" She ordered them like a white man with a whip.

The goons were running around everywhere in Kyoto. Planting Meredith's nails to box in Utsusemi agency inside.

And it was imperative that they won't be able to escape the place after they begin the raid.

"She's such a slave driver..." Natsume grumbled and Saber heard her.

"Kyaaa!" Natsume screamed as Saber smacked her butt with her sheath.

"Shut up and work, or you'll be having close combat training too." Mo-chan grinned at her and Natsume paled.

The others shivered upon feeling her bloodlust. And the members of X-People were having flashbacks at Mordred's training sessions.

After they planted the barrier cores, Le Fay powered them up. "Mordred-sama's teachings will come to play now!"

With his continued teaching sessions with Le Fay, she managed to balance her spirit and body. And as a result, her mana is pretty decent.

And after casting her barrier spells onto the cores. There was a pretty decent barrier that could ward off high class beings around Kyoto now.

Mordred already informed Yasaka and Amaterasu about it. So they were free to do so, instead of panicking that it was an enemy attack.

"Okay, you maggots. Let's go, who has the tracking system?" Mo-chan looked around and Siegfried took out a piece of paper.

There was an arrow on it and it acted as a compass to the person that Mordred put a tracking spell on.

"Come on, let's show these bastards why messing with our allies is a bad idea." Mo-chan grinned and they started their march against Utsusemi.

"Master, can I blast them off the face of the earth? And then they'll take care of the riff raff?" Mo-chan asked Mordred.

"No." He replied immediately and she started sulking. "But I want to! Taking care of kids is boring. I want to kill something! There were lots of things to hunt down back in Camelot. Aren't there tons of mythical creatures here? Why don't we take care of them!?" Mo-chan whined.

"If you're so bored, I'll let you learn swordplay through your body later. My servant can't be seen as a gorilla with a sword. A gorilla might be strong, but you lack skill." Mordred announced and she paled.

"Please forgive me, I said too much." Mo-chan tried to worm her way out of it.

"This is a free country, Mo-chan. But just because you are free to say anything. Doesn't mean that it doesn't have consequences." Mordred snorted and Mo-chan winced.
