Kyoto:-

"What can you tell us about the dragon that attacked you, Yasaka-dono?" a certain Shinto Storm God inquired, his presence looming over the Youkai leader.

Yasaka appeared somewhat intimidated by Susanoo's presence but remained respectfully seated on her knees in front of him. Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu stood a short distance away, observing the interaction. Yasaka bowed her head respectfully to the gods. "I'm afraid I don't have much information... I was taken by surprise and ambushed by a group of peculiar humans wielding powerful sacred gears. When I attempted to assume my beast form, the black dragon, Crom Cruach, struck me unconscious. After that, I believe I was placed under a spell. My daughter, Kunou, sought the help of a dragon named Issei Hyoudou, and he managed to save me."

"A group of humans with potent sacred gears? Doesn't Indra have a faction like that?" Amaterasu turned to Tsukuyomi, seeking his insight.

Tsukuyomi pondered the question. "But why would Indra's followers align themselves with an evil dragon? That might explain why Ophis didn't express concern about him."

Susanoo clenched his fist, his gaze fixed on Yasaka. "Tell us more about this Issei Hyoudou. It's difficult to believe that a dragon would come to your rescue..."

Yasaka hesitated, knowing she had limited knowledge to offer. "I don't have much information... but I believe he resides in Kuoh."

"We should investigate Issei Hyoudou," Susanoo declared, his tone serious.

Amaterasu interjected, her voice filled with caution. "Hold on... perhaps we should observe him first before charging in. It would be prudent to gather more information about the type of dragon he is."

"All dragons are the same, sister..." Susanoo scoffed as he continued walking.

"You two can continue to investigate the supernatural activities in Japan. I will reach out to Indra and see if he possesses any knowledge about this attack," Tsukuyomi stated before vanishing from sight.

Amaterasu and Susanoo exchanged disapproving glances. The latter shook his head with determination. "For now, we will proceed with your approach... but I will intervene if and when I deem it necessary."

"Agreed," Amaterasu nodded in reluctant agreement.

After bidding farewell to the devil group, Issei made his way towards Irina and Xenovia, who wore troubled expressions. Gabriel stood alongside them, her curiosity evident.

To Issei's dismay, Riser and his peerage had also followed him, accompanied by Serafall. Issei glanced at them and mustered a polite request, "Do you guys mind giving me some space?"

"Of course, come on, girls. Take care, Issei Hyoudou," Riser gestured for his peerage to accompany him.

"Yeah, see you later," Issei waved curtly, urging them to leave as he approached his human friends.

While the others followed Riser's lead, Serafall remained by Issei's side, shooting a fierce glare towards Gabriel. "I'm not going anywhere as long as SHE's around..."

Choosing to ignore the tension between Gabriel and Serafall, Irina immediately voiced her worry, "Where have you been, Issei? We've been searching everywhere for you!"

"I'll explain it later... now isn't the best time to discuss it," Issei replied quietly, his gaze scanning the room.

Serafall perked up with curiosity. "Yeah, where were you exactly, Issei-chan?"

"On the rooftop, if you must know," he offered a vague response, withholding any further explanation.

"Are you intentionally keeping it from us?" Gabriel's intuition kicked in, sensing that something was amiss.

Issei stared at her in surprise, realizing her unexpected perceptiveness. 'Wow... I didn't know she had this level of insight.'

"It's just a personal matter, Gabriel," Issei deflected, hoping to change the subject.

"A personal matter? Is something wrong? If you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you. I'm willing to help in any way I can," Serafall offered, her optimism shining through.

"I appreciate your concern, Serafall, but please respect my privacy," Issei sighed, seeking to maintain his boundaries.

"By the way, both Vali and Tiamat are gone as well. We thought you sneaked off to have se-" Xenovia's words were abruptly muffled by Irina, her face blushing.

Irina quickly interjected, finishing Xenovia's sentence, "Sneaked off for seclusion to discuss something."

Serafall blushed at the word Xenovia almost let slip, shooting Issei a playful yet slightly annoyed glare. "You sneaked off with them?"

Letting out a sigh, Issei attempted to improvise a response. "Well, sort of. Vali just wanted to talk to me about her family."

Irina and Xenovia seemed aware that Issei was not being entirely truthful but decided not to press the issue when they noticed the seriousness in his eyes.

"It's astonishing to hear that Vali is part of the Lucifer family... Do you think she aligns herself with the Old Satan faction?" Serafall inquired.

Issei shrugged, expressing his uncertainty. "She's a half-breed, so I doubt she has a favorable relationship with those jerks."

"I suppose that's a valid point. Tiamat is also friends with her, and she's on our side. It's still peculiar, though. I can't quite fathom what they're doing here in Kuoh," Serafall mused, placing a hand on her chin.

"How much longer do we have to stay here, anyway?" Xenovia pondered aloud. Issei felt a sense of relief as Xenovia shifted the conversation. For once, her random comments proved beneficial.

Issei shrugged once again. "I'm not sure. Hopefully, we'll be able to leave soon."

"Hyoudou-san!" Issei's teacher called out, approaching the group. "I was wondering... where did your father go?"

"Oh, he had to attend to something for work. Can we leave now, sensei?" Issei inquired, slipping his hands into his pockets.

She frowned. "That's unfortunate. Well, just so you know, I'll be working on your extra credit when I get home tonight. I'll have it ready for you when you return to school."

"Okay, cool. So, can I go now?" Issei's impatience seeped into his voice.

His teacher nodded. "Yes, Hyoudou-san. Thank you for coming tonight. Please convey my message to your father that he's always welcome to visit here. It was a pleasure to meet him."

'Literally, I bet...' Issei thought, amused by the underlying meaning.
