Chapter [131]

As ten dragons advanced towards Merlin, their wings beating forcefully, creating a storm of wind that caused the flames of the fire to burn more intensely around the arena. Merlin remained calm, her serene expression contrasting with the fury of the dragons.

"Come. Let's dance this dance together," she said firmly, her eyes shining with determination.

The first dragon charged forward, its body engulfed in flames. Merlin raised a hand, and a barrier of ice formed in front of her, extinguishing the flames and freezing the air around the dragon. With a swift gesture, she hurled an ice spear that pierced the fiery heart of the creature, defeating it.

"Merlin defeats a member of Tannin's Peerage! Her skill and dexterity are truly impressive," declared Serefall, admiring the Mage's performance.

Two dragons advanced together, one controlling earth and the other wind. They coordinated their attacks, hurling sharp rocks and gusts of cutting wind towards Merlin.

The mage skillfully flew between the attacks, her ice cloak protecting her from the blows. With graceful movements, she conjured ice spheres that exploded against the wind dragon, sending it staggering backwards. Meanwhile, she formed ice pillars from the ground, trapping the earth dragon in place.

With an explosion of energy, Merlin unleashed precise blows, defeating the two dragons in a quick and fluid sequence. Each strike was calculated, every move executed flawlessly. The arena vibrated with intensity.

"Merlin defeats two members of Tannin's Peerage!" proclaimed Serefall, her voice echoing throughout the vastness of the arena.

As the spectators applauded and cheered, a new challenge emerged from the darkness. The air crackled with electricity as the next dragon advanced, its scales gleaming with a sinister glow under the lightning it controlled with mastery. Merlin faced the challenge with calculated calmness, her eyes sparking with determination as she moved agilely like the wind.

With a powerful gesture, Merlin summoned the turbulent waters around her, raising walls of furious torrents to deflect the dragon's lightning. Each wave was a deadly dance, a choreography of power and skill as Merlin dodged the dragon's attacks.

Then, in a moment of opportunity, Merlin focused her energy, her fingers extended like ice spears as she wove the waters around the dragon into a liquid prison. The dragon roared in defiance, desperately trying to break free from the chains that bound it, but Merlin's magic was relentless.

The dragon, realizing its helplessness against the mage's skill, attempted to increase its power, channeling more electricity through its veins. However, its efforts were in vain, as Merlin's magic was an impenetrable barrier, and the dragon soon realized it was defeated.

With a final blow, Merlin unleashed a torrent of concentrated energy towards the dragon, her power hitting it head-on. The dragon's body began to dissipate into an electric mist, its final roar echoing across the battlefield as it vanished, teleported away from the arena.

Merlin watched the dragon's disappearance with a satisfied smile, her eyes gleaming with triumph. "So easy," she murmured, her voice laden with confidence as she prepared for the next challenge that awaited her.

Merlin continued to demonstrate power for all who were watching, as the spectators observed with admiration the mage's skill in action.

"Merlin defeats another member of Tannin's Peerage!"

As Merlin prepared for the next confrontation, a new challenge emerged from the darkness. A fire-controlling dragon advanced, its burning flames illuminating the arena with a sinister glow. Merlin faced the dragon with determination, her eyes shining with intensity as she prepared for the final showdown.

With quick and precise movements, Merlin conjured an ice barrier to protect herself from the dragon's flames. Then, with a powerful gesture, she cast dark spells, enveloping the dragon in a black mist that obscured its vision.

The dragon roared in frustration, its flames dwindling as it struggled to see through the darkness. Merlin seized the opportunity, launching quick and precise attacks against the weakened dragon.

With a final blow, Merlin defeated the dragon, her magic prevailing over the formidable beast. As the dragon vanished from the arena, teleported elsewhere, Merlin watched with satisfaction, her unwavering confidence remaining intact.

Riser's Mansion in the Underworld

Outside the mansion, Nana and Mirko kept a vigilant watch, their eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of intruders. The night was quiet, and the atmosphere was tense, laden with the promise of imminent conflict.

Suddenly, an aura of magical power surged in the air, accompanied by a soft pop. Nana and Mirko quickly prepared for battle, ready to face any threat that approached.

At the mansion's entrance, an imposing figure emerged from the bright light, followed by four other individuals. Victorius, with his majestic posture and aura of authority, led the group, followed by Selina, his Peerage queen, and two other women who emanated a formidable magical power.

Beside Victorius, an unknown man observed attentively, his expression serious and focused indicating he was ready to act at any moment.

"I am Victorius Phenex, Lord of these lands and father of Riser Phenex," announced Victorius with a firm voice, his presence dominating the space around him. "I am here to take someone from this mansion with me. Step aside."

Nana raised an eyebrow, her eyes fixed on Victorius with suspicion. "No one enters this mansion without Riser or Sona's permission," she declared firmly, her posture defiant. "They are the only ones with authority here."

Victorius frowned, his expression hardening with irritation. "YOU DARE TO CHALLENGE THE HEAD OF THE PHENEX FAMILY?"

"You're just a low-level Devil, and you have no right to question my authority!"

"To me, you're just another intruder," Nana replied calmly, her voice firm. "And you're not welcome here."

As Victorius gritted his teeth in anger, Mirko stood by Nana's side, her gaze determined.

"No one will pass us without Riser or Sona's permission," she asserted with conviction, her tone challenging.

"We should storm the mansion, Victorius-sama," Selina suggested.

"Not yet," he decided, his voice resolute. "Let's wait a little longer."

Nana, realizing the situation could escalate, decided to take action. She raised her hand and, with a quick signal, indicated for Mirko to call Sona and the other girls who were inside the mansion.

Inside the mansion, Sona was sitting on the living room couch, chatting with Romina and the other girls, when Mirko rushed in.

"Sona-sama, we need your presence outside. Riser's father is causing trouble," Mirko explained quickly.

Sona immediately rose from the couch, her face serious as she followed Mirko outside the mansion. Romina, Yoruichi, and Tsubaki followed closely behind, their expressions worried about the imminent threat.

When they arrived outside, Sona found Victorius and his group, her posture firm and determined.

"Victorius, you are not welcome here," declared Sona calmly, but with authority in her voice.

Victorius looked at Sona and Romina, a mixture of anger and reluctance crossing his face. He knew he could not ignore Sona's authority, especially because she was Serafall's sister, an influential figure of power.

"Let's leave for now," he finally conceded, his voice filled with resignation.

As Victorius walked away, Romina felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew Victorius was capable of impulsive acts when crossed, and his dark look indicated a serious conversation awaited them at home.

"Mother-in-law, you don't need to go back home," Sona said.

"I have to go back, my place is in my house with my husband and as a good Lady Phenex," Romina replied with determination, although a hint of worry was visible in her eyes.

"You should think better, if something happens to you and Riser finds out, there won't be a husband for you to come back to," Sona warned.

"Riser wouldn't kill his own father," Romina retorted, her voice tense at the idea of Riser committing such an act.

"There's only one way to know that, and you don't want to test it. Now, let's go back inside and watch our Riser's Rating Game," insisted Sona, placing a reassuring hand on Romina's shoulder.

With one last worried look towards the spot where Victorius and his group had disappeared, Romina agreed to follow Sona back inside the mansion.
