Unhappy gods

"You have successfully defeated my teacher thus proving your worth. I also wish to keep learning under her tutelage. Going by the description you gave my teacher of these pieces I would fit the Knight piece best, so I wish to pledge myself to you as your Knight." said Scarlett while getting down on one knee a bowing her head.

"I mean if you are sure about this I don't see why not. Scáthach trained you and she is very powerful herself, I don't think she would train someone unworthy." replied Kaiser before bringing out one of his Knight pieces.

"I, Scarlett Delacroix, pledge my unwavering allegiance to my master, Kaiser Vesperion, vowing to follow him into any battle, against any adversary, at any place and time. With unyielding loyalty and valor, I shall protect and serve, honour-bound by my oath as a knight, for the realm and its people, until my last breath." said Scarlett and Kaiser placed the piece inside her chest.

The effects were instantaneous and black wings protruded from her back.

"How do you feel?" Kaiser asked Scarlett.

"The higher amount of power that was granted to me by the piece will take some time for me to get used to, other than that I feel fine." said Scarlett.

"Then I say we head home and introduce the two of you to the others." suggested Kaiser.

Before anyone could answer two figures materialized not far from them. All of them turned towards the two new arrivals.

"So someone has managed to defeat the famed god-killer and a devil at that nonetheless." said one of the figures, a woman.

"I wasn't expecting a visit Morrigan." said Scáthach.

"Why would you? This place isn't exactly a tourist attraction." said the other figure, a male.

"Which raises the question, why are you two here?" asked Scáthach.

"No need to be concerned we just came to check things out." said the man.

"You are not the type to take strolls for fun Balor." said Scáthach.

"Tch, if you really want to know we were sent to figure out why such tremendous amounts of power were unleashed but it all seems clear now. I can't sense any connection between you and the Land of Shadows instead you seem to be connected to that young man. I would assume you two fought, you lost and died otherwise you would still have a connection with the land and he somehow resurrected you." said Morrigan.

"You pretty much hit the nail on the head." said Scáthach.

Kaiser just kept looking a the two people whom he identified as gods due to the divine aura they were releasing.

"Well, it's always nice to meet new people but we must get going so excuse us and have a good day." said Kaiser before anyone could continue this conversation further.

"Aren't you a rude one, boy? Kaiser Vesperion if I'm not mistaken. Your power is impressive but your mouth could use a little discipline, it's impolite to intervene in a conversation that doesn't concern you." said Balor.

"Scáthach doesn't seem too thrilled to be talking with you two and I don't care what you two are doing here, so I see no reason to further delay our return to home." said Kaiser.

"Well, that's nice and all but we were also asked to make sure that Scáthach stays here, You see we use this as a sort of underworld and we hadn't had any problems ever since she started staying here and we would like her to continue doing so." said Morrigan.

"Your problems are of no concern to me." said Kaiser.

"Young man, you just had a fight. You must be tired and your energy levels depleted, do you really think you could go against the both of us?" asked Balor.

"I'll admit I'm tired a little bit, but I'm nowhere close to a state where I couldn't fight. You also seem to forget the fact that Scáthach is called a god-killer for a reason. That would make it a two versus two." said Kaiser.

"What you are saying is correct, but we aren't pushovers either, we are both battle-oriented gods. It is well known that battle-oriented gods are much stronger compared to non-battle-oriented gods. You still think you have a chance?" asked Morrigan.

"I believe so, yes." replied Kaiser.

'This is perfect, I have never absorbed a god's energy before, it might be able to give me that final push to breakthrough.' thought Kaiser.

"If I may contribute I think this matter could be resolved through peaceful ways." said Grayfia.

"A mere maid doesn't have the authority to talk when not asked. Plus the guy doesn't seem to be willing to let go of Scáthach. That leaves the option of taking her from him by force." said Balor.

"Grayfia is allowed to state her opinion whether you like it or not." said Kaiser.

"You should educate your servants better. As a leader of a faction, this paints a bad picture of you. Not that you ever had a good reputation. Many believe that you are a bad day away from committing genocide at random locations." said Balor.

"I see no reason to talk about my reputation or mental state." stated Kaiser.

"So be it, it is your last chance to demolish your connection with Scáthach and walk away unharmed." said Balor.

"You are pretty arrogant Balor, I'll enjoy beating it out of you." said Scáthach.

'Teleport away with Grayfia to where you watched the fight from between Scáthach and me.' said Kaiser to Scarlett through mental message.

'My regeneration has healed most of my injuries and I still have magic energy left but I don't know how long it will last so I'll try to kill my opponent as fast as possible.' thought Kaiser.

Grayfia and Scarlett teleported away as the two gods and the King and Queen faced off against each other.

'I'll take Balor.' said Scáthach to Kaiser through mental message.

Kaiser nodded at her and focused his eyes on Morrigan.

"Let's do this." said Kaiser as he charged towards Morrigan.
