Chapter 1 : let's start

Two students stared at the building before them, well, multiple buildings. One male and one female, in their respective uniforms.

The male wore a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and brown dress shoes.

He held his briefcase over his shoulder nonchalantly while peering at the girl next to him.

He carried a second one, as a courtesy to the one next to him. Plus, he knew she appreciated it, even if she never verbally said it.

The girl looked uninterested in everything around her. Some might call her stoic but the term that the male used was apathetic.

The female to the male, giving him another expressionless stare but they have known each other for seven years.

They understood each other on levels people dream to obtain. The female wore a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black shoulder cape and matching button-down corset, and a magenta skirt with white accents.

The female also had thigh-high socks to cover her skin to just below the skirt—a preference and a habit. She felt too exposed otherwise.

In the springtime, the shoulder cape would be unnecessary, the blazer also unnecessary, and the button-down shirt would be short-sleeved.

Adjusting for the weather, how considerate. The female glanced at the male before they both nodded to one another. "Why did she have to send us?"

"After what she's done for us, you could at least act like a normal school girl."

"Who says I'm not?" the female retorted. The male shot her a deadpan. "...fair point."

The male took the first steps inside the school that he and his friend would be attending for the foreseeable future.

Kuoh Academy is located in Kuoh, Japan. The male took the first steps in and had to suppress a shiver.

The female noticed and her posture expressed nothing but knew that this place was a hotspot.

"Are you alright?"

"Ara, Kasane-chan, don't tell me you're actually worried about me?"

the male said. His navy-colored hair and matching eyes, coupled with his looks that clearly stated he was a foreigner—or at least a half-blood—made him an immediate hot topic amongst the girls.

The slight firmness of his jawline and physique, while not a bulging male, was noteworthy in comparison to the other males around him.

The shirt clearly did a terrible job at hiding it. The males easily found a new target for bad-mouthing, which the male in question ignored. He also ignored the gossip amongst the crowd, focusing only on the one next to him.

Kasane was a pretty girl with white hair that extended down to her mid-back, a handmade hair clip that parted the left side of her hair, calculating blood-red eyes, her face an impassive mask.

The girl was known as Kasane, who had an 'ice queen' vibe that would rival a certain Student Council President and Vice-President.

Kuoh Academy was once an all-girls school. This year, it happened to be co-ed, with a selection of sixty male students—in each grade level—being allowed admission.

The school uses what is known as an "Escalator" system. This means that rather than being a school for one certain level of education, it instead houses all grades from 1st-University separated by Elementary, Junior High, Senior High, and College divisions.

The two arriving students would be under the Senior High division of the Academy.

"Hiroki-kun, go die."

The return of the tsundere but she's more of a kuudere. Kutsudere…nope, that's terrible. "Only if you join me," the now-named Hiroki called out with a grin. The navy boy glanced at the girl.

"Not on your life," Kasane replied, clearly enjoying the banter if the small twitch of her lips meant anything.

Seeing that, Hiroki smiled, "So, what's the first thing on our list?"

Kasane scoffed, "You seriously didn't pay attention? Baka, we have to report to the Student Council for our class assignments."

"Oh, so, we shouldn't be concerned by the fact that two people are heading this way on your seven?" Hiroki asked with a vague gesture in that direction, not at all concerned by being called an idiot.

Kasane turned around, flicking her hair, making the boys—and some girls—swoon. Hiroki withheld a chuckle, knowing Kasane did not intend for that. "Hello," Kasane greeted.

"Greetings, my name is Souna Shitori, Student Council President," said the girl who had violet eyes, black hair, and glasses that cupped under her eyes, giving in Hiroki's opinion, a strict librarian vibe. Next to her was… "and this is Tsubaki Shinra, Vice-President."

Kasane noted that the bespectacled woman with long straight black hair that extends all the way down to her knees, with split bangs and heterochromatic eyes, with a violet left eye and a light brown right eye, but she carried the same demeanor as the president and even herself, most of the time.

Kasane had loosened up once she met Hiroki, compared to when they were children.

"Greetings, Kaichou, Fuka-Kaichou. We were just about to head over to the Student Council building to receive instructions on where our class is, apologies for making more work for you.

You must be busy." Kasane left the speaking to Hiroki, as he was better with words than her, a fact she fully admits to.

"I appreciate the sentiment, Kuno-san. Tsubaki-san, the documents please?" Souna asked. They weren't surprised that she knew their names. She had to know who was coming into her territory after all.

Said documents were placed in her hand, "Hai, Kaichou."

"You and Randall-san will be in Class 2-B, and you will be excused for being tardy today. Please do your best to arrive on time in the future.

With that being said, let me be the first to welcome you to Kuoh Academy." Accompanied with a small bow, returned by the duo, they left.

Once they were inside, Tsubaki spoke up, "You felt it too, Kaichou?"

The president of the Student Council hummed, "I did…it seems they both possess one of the same series…as they felt similar but they definitely are aware…especially when I can feel that they rival a High-Class."

"Are you-"

"No, I plan to inform Rias of this, as she will be needing the assistance far more than myself."

"Hai, Kaichou," Tsubaki said, agreeing with her before they both turned and headed back to the office.
