True God

In the middle of flying dragons and humongous cascades that fell into the nothingness of this world, Amaterasu and I walked together hand in hand wearing kimono, she looked beautiful with a white flaming kimono while I wore a black one with golden trimmings.

It was a sacred lake with carp swimming across it, the lake shone and I could feel boundless energy from it. 

Standing at the edge of the lake were the Shinto Gods and the Four Great Seraphs looking at us, aside from that there were some guests like Sirzechs Lucifer and Serafall Leviathan, two Satans from hell. 

In front of us was Yasaka in a Miko (priestess) outfit that made her look ravishing. In the ritual, both of them had to wash me in this sacred water brimming with the faith of the Japanese believers, it was incredible how much energy was concentrated in this lake. When the water washed me over, I felt brimming energy fall on me as Yasaka began dancing in the waters with an abacus.

The whole ritual was beautiful to look at and as it happened, the skies of Takamagahara began to morph in a way that shocked everyone and confused me, it was supposed to be something they had done several times already, but this ritual looked like it was going to be an exception.

"What is going on?!" The Shinto Gods saw the skies turn golden as the sun in the skies, began to darken.

A gust of golden energy flurried the skies, its origin unknown, it just manifested here all of a sudden and started hovering above me like a tornado. 

"The faith from the heavens?!" The four great Seraphs billowed. 

As if we were being acknowledged, the gust of golden energy covered not only me, but Amaterasu as well, she spread her arms in awe as the energy washed her over and when we were both at the peak of pleasure and peace, the world darkened completely as the humongous sun of Takamahagara got covered by an equally gigantic moon.

"A-A solar eclipse..."

"It's a total solar eclipse!"

"It is the same as the one in the seventh heaven, Michael".

"Ray-sama's soul is so majestic".

The circle of light around the eclipse increased in grandeur as a blinding light emitted in the world. Everyone covered their eyes as the four great seraphs and I began to levitate, I felt the power rushing in abundantly coming from that Eclipse. It didn't take long before the light subsided, it wasn't a big spectacle of lights but when the light receded, a new aura enveloped the world. 

"R-Ray-sama... this is?"

The four great seraphs looked at each other and there wasn't much difference in them except for their halos and wings that were now shining.

"I feel a lot stronger and... warm. What happened?" Uriel asked me but it was then that all gazes concentrated on me and Amaterasu.

I didn't feel anything different from me, but for some reason, everyone looked at me in awe. Instead of focusing on myself, I focused on Amaterasu who was also glaring at me. Her hair was now longer and had a sunlight lustre to it. 

"The ritual was successful, Ray-sama! You look so different!" Yasaka jumped on me but I didn't see anything different on my own body except for the fact that I felt stronger.

"Do I?"

"Look..."

Amaterasu opened my kimono and now, on my skin, there were several tattoos and they were golden and shining with aura. 

"You look like a God now. This is a circumstance of rejoicing, let's have a banquet in the name of our new Patriarch!"

Screams and clamouring thundered with fireworks, laughs and joy as the moon that covered the sun retreated to give way to a bigger and brighter sun. As they led me to the main hall I noticed with the edge of my eye, the hideous grim from the Moon God, Tsukiyomi who upon noticing my gaze, disappeared in a flash of moonlight. 

He is planning something but it doesn't matter, with this new power and with how strong the Great Seraphs are, I'm feeling very confident. So confident that I thought about scheduling my plans ahead of time the moment I looked at my status.

It was harsher than I thought it would be.

There were many matters to notice, some abilities seemed to have evolved now that I'm a True God, I also gained in terms of laws, and there are two more bookings... but what I cared about the most: 'I ranked up but system capabilities are still a hundred per cent?'

[That is the point of the seal created by Anubis. Energy Records has a lot more weight than you think. System capabilities won't ease until you reach at least the Higher True God Stage and even then, it won't be by much... you should feel that your capabilities of energy tracking and manipulation have increased].

'Even if you say that three hundred thousand chaos points...' I knew it was going to be a huge leap in cost but this is ridiculous, how much is the rank after this going to cost?

'Another world? I was already thinking about that... which one do you think would be the best?'

I enjoyed the party with everyone present and clamouring, but I already had set my mind on what I wanted to do. That night before heading back to the heavens I spoke with Amaterasu, my fiance.

"The cluster of laws? you mean this?"

She popped up that ball of energy that Yasaka had given her and explained to me back when Yasaka had explained my existence to her, she had successfully bribed the goddess into keeping quiet by using this cluster of laws. 

Amaterasu was tempted by it and hence, concealed not only my existence but also Yasaka's transgression from the rest of the pantheon.

"It is a treasure that could help me greatly to continue my path in divinity. I met a bottleneck hundreds of thousands of years ago, I thought it was impossible to become stronger... until I met Elysir".

"There is something I need your help with, I need to try and understand the laws in this cluster, Amaterasu".

More specifically, the transdimensional spell. 

Her brows squinted, it was deep into the night in Takamagahara. Yasaka, Hasshaku-sama and Kunou-chan were sleeping, it was only she and me. 

"It is difficult for even me to understand these laws, Ray".

"Elysir told me that she was planning to give this to me once I became a True God, I'm a True God now so I should be able to understand".

"Even then, you should at least have some guidance in order to comprehend it... if she isn't here-".

"I still need to try, Amaterasu".

I was insistent and she sighed. 

"You're not planning on doing anything brash, are you?"

"I'm not... what could I possibly do?"

"I don't know... but you have been behaving oddly, Ray. Are you that dissatisfied with our engagement?" she made a cute pout that I didn't even know she could muster and instead of scolding her, I pulled her into my arms in a hug.

"You know it is not that... but you also know what is the cause"

"Elysir. Okay, I will help you but don't expect much".

We left the room and she took me, in the middle of the night, to the same sacred pond we had been at during the ritual. She walked me in, the golden energy yet flew around the skies like playing cherubins that rode the eastern dragons. A mixture of two myths. 

We sat down in the water and she placed the cluster of laws in between us, our hands entangled and I did everything she asked me. 

*RUMBLE!*

The orb levitated in front of us.

"Try to inject your energy into it, whenever I try to do it, I fail... it is like it knows I'm not the designated person".

I did as she said, with Energy Records, its manipulation is very easy. 

What I expected to be a cluster of fireworks didn't ensue but instead, a screen appeared in front of us. 

[Authenticating credentials...]

[System administrator detected...]

[Authenticated... displaying abilities].

Then, to our shock and awe, several screens began manifesting in front of us with a list of abilities, the rank required to use them, how much energy they drew and also a manual on how to learn and master them.

A silhouette manifested next to us with such suddenness that Amaterasu and I nearly jumped.

"Ely... can you hear me?"

I could tell from the get-go this was Ely before she departed, the true Elysir I spent my time with before my second life. She was in her goddess form, covered in bandages with a shining body, all too beautiful.

But there was something off about her that I couldn't quite point out.

[I know what you may be thinking... but this is a pre-recorded message, I'm not here in reality. I just wanted to let you know that I'm proud of you, that I love you... and that I hope from the bottom of my heart that you won't find me]. 

"Ah?"

[I hope you will live a long life with Anubis and forget that I exist, it is for both our sakes. I'm a criminal who has committed a grave sin, and I don't deserve to have everlasting peace and quietness. But you do. We are very different, Ray...]

"You had always been a very selfish person".

I focused on her eyes and immediately noticed what was wrong. Her eyes weren't golden and slit... they were red and slit, shiny crimson blood red.

She turned around without saying a word and disappeared.

"Elysir and Anubis aren't the same person?" Amaterasu asked confused.

"That wasn't Elysir, at least not the one I know"

I clenched my fist, not only were her eyes red and her vision bereft of life, but she didn't call me baby even once. I don't know what she was trying to do or who even that was, but instead of deterring me, I only felt like finding her even more.

There seems to be a darker secret underlying all this, I will find it out and I will bring her with me, that's definite. When Ely disappeared, three abilities manifested in front of me and Amaterasu very conveniently.

Out of all the abilities, they were the only ones that had a cost. All others would be automatically unlocked -just like the ability of Radiation- when I touched upon the rank where they belonged.

There was that ability that was sealed as well: Hypernova... its cost was just ridiculous.

I quickly found the Transdimensional Gate, the one I had been looking for.

Just as I was doing my research, so did Amaterasu... soon enough a ball of energy appeared in her hands, and she managed to use one of Ely's skills!

"Impressive, each ability has a manual of energy flow that is required to employ it, this one is called 'Life Spark' you should be able to use it as well, Ray".

I did look for it and found it, as she said the execution process of this ability was very easy but compared to that, the transdimensional gate was a lot harder. Amaterasu peeked at the ability I was trying to learn and frowned at me. 

"Are you planning on going somewhere?"

"I just want to learn this ability, that's all".
