Final Gambit 3/3

I tried to reassure Ezio as I placed the three pieces of Eden around him in a circle, Yggdrasil took my hand and pulled me back as she began to chant in an ancient language I simply can't comprehend, what I did understand however was a large amount of power amassing around Ezio. A giant golden colour surrounded him as the pieces of Eden began to fade from existence with little fuss, "Daddy, it hurts."

Ezio shrieked, I took a step towards Ezio but before I could do anything a Golden tendril came out of Yggdrasil, forcing me to stay in my spot, her eyes stared at the light surrounding my son, fear and confusion began to cloud my judgement, as thoughts of freeing Ezio from his pain began to overwhelm whatever sense of reason I could muster.

Yggdrasil stopped chanting briefly soothing my desire to kill her where she stood, "Vito, I have trusted you for 100 years, you have never failed me, trust that I won't fail you, you had my word I could save your son, now trust me."

*Stab*

Taking a throwing knife out from my belt, I slowly stabbed myself in the arm, using the pain to override any other emotion I harboured. Rely on Yggdrasil, you can do it, Vito, there are not many people you trust, Yggdrasil is one of them. I kept drilling into my mind however the pained shrieks of Ezio started to once again crack my resistance, I froze, as an image of Raphael's smiling face appeared in my mind.

Thoughts of how he killed my family ran rampant in my head,

"Those superior to Humans do not care for you, you know that Vito, the Izu don't, The Angels don't, the Demons do not either. The Dragons hunt you for your hide, Vampires for food, Werewolves for sport. The Supernatural can't be trusted Vito, I warned you."

A voice appeared behind me from nowhere, not trusting my senses, I threw the throwing knife covered in my blood behind me. "That wasn't very nice now was it?" A deep voice snarled from behind me, turning I froze as three magic circles faded from existence.

Standing in my front room, where two Angel Commanders alongside my hunter, Archangel Raphael, The Angels loomed over me, their power began to slowly force me to my knees.

"You know Vito, I only asked Micheal to recruit the Assasins so I could keep an eye on you, I finally put the pieces together, It took me a lot longer than I would like to admit, the mission we did in Croatia sealed it though. You are the last of the Auditore line, aren't you? Well, you and the abomination you had with a Demon. I should have realised that I didn't complete my final order from my father. I'm here to deal with the ancient witch behind you and well to keep my word to father and kill you and your son."

Using some of the power I have mastered from Eden, I forced the pressure of the Angels off of my body, rising from my knees with a dark smile plastered over my gradual turning cold face. "Yggdrasil protect Ezio."

Raphael took a step back, "Did you say Yggdrasil?"

In response to his question, I took out another throwing knife, placing it over my heart, I rammed it as hard as I could, tearing through my chest with ease. As the blood dripped and the sound of my rib cage breaking echoed throughout the room, a large golden cacoon swallowed my body, tearing it apart and rebuilding it.

Yggdrasil had told me years ago that I could do this, force my body to transform, to allow it to be consumed by the power of Eden, that I would no longer be Human if I did but I would sacrifice everything to allow my son to live, my Humanity means nothing without him. It would make me closer to an Izu than a Human, a sort of in-between Hybrid, able to utilise the power of the Garden far better than I could before.

The world froze around me as the Cacoon began to break, the colour came flooding into my eyes once more, in far more detail than before, I can see the wrinkles on Raphael's face, on instinct my Eagle vision kicked in, it was somehow different now though. It showed me the path the Raphael would take as soon as the world continued.

A soft hand pulled me forwards, stumbling, I landed in Yggdrasil's chest once more, turning around I saw her smiling at Ezio, exactly where I had left her. Looking back at the woman who was holding me with confusion, she giggled and said "You have completed the second contract, our souls have become linked, you are mine and I'm yours, our power is one and the same, however, you will need to continue to grow it if you want to survive the incoming threats. Things are in motion that I can't stop but you can."

With another giggle, Yggdrasil pushed me back to where I was originally standing, as soon as I returned to where I was meant to be, the world restarted, Rapheal looked at me in horror, I can't blame him, I can feel the power radiating off of me...
