Ch3: Savior

"System how can I use mana? Like is there a guide for it that system can provide me or do I need to learn about it myself?"

[User must learn that by themselves. The system cannot provide any help in this case.]

Kaiser sighed "Guess there's no helping it I need to learn it myself."

While Kaiser was interacting with the system and getting familiar with it, a screen popped up in front of him.

[Host has received their first mission. By completing it host will be given a new skill. *The skill given is that of a low grade.]

[A Stray devil is approaching host's house. What will host do?

Objective: Survive in any way possible either by fighting back, fleeing, or stalling time.

Reward: Depends on how host Survives.]

'Stray devil? It did give me information about devils but not as much to tell me about the stray ones. I'll ask about it later from system. but from how the mission sounds it may be up to no good which means I have to find a way to escape from it, The question is how?'

'System said that I can stall and buy time which means if I manage to hide from that devil for a time someone will come to help otherwise it wouldn't put it as an option to complete this mission. so stalling for help would be a good option, only if I can pull it off that is.'

Kaiser looked around the room trying to find a way or a place to hide from the devil. His eyes darted towards his mother's corpse feeling sick again as the image and memories of what happened to her cameback.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself and thinking of a solution, An idea came to his mind.

Naturaly he disliked the idea that he had, but it was necessary for his survival. He walked towards the corpse and lay beside her down on the ground, pulling the corpse of his mother on top of himself as sime sort of cover.

'I already have blood on me and look like a corpse so if I try to play dead I might trick the devil and buy enough time for someone to save me.'

After a few seconds, Kaiser picked up the sound of footsteps which were getting closer and closer to the room.

The stray devil walked around the house as if she were looking for someone "Ah the smell of blood makes me feel euphoric." The devil said "But these bloods aren't fresh and I didn't get them myself so it's a bit of let down."

'Great, she likes them fresh just like me.' Kaiser thought to himself and cursing inwardly at his luck.

The devil Roamed around the house till she reached Kaiser's room. Kaiser held his breath and tried to maintain it as much as he could.

Entering the room, she took a sniff and a blush was krept on her face.

"Look at this what a massacre. The condition of the female corpse is even worse to me, ah we also have a kid here. Whoever did this to them had a great taste." She said while licking her lips.

"Well, it looks like there's nothing to kill here. Sigh and here I thought I could have some fun. Guess i have to go back and take some of that old blood."

The devil turned around to leave but then stopped in her tracks and a creepy smiled appeared on her face "On second thought, maybe I can have some fun with the little boy's corpse."

She then slowly walked towards Kaiser and picked him up "Oh my he does indeed have a cute face. What a shame, he could have grown up to be a handsome slave for me."

She touched Kaiser's face and then smirked "Looks like today is my lucky day, the boy is still alive but unconscious. I had a spell for controlling minds, so I can wake him up with that and make him obey me." she then put her finger on kaiser's forehead and a purple colored magic circle appeared.

[Mind Control spell (Low level) has been activated on host. Due to a protection spell that has been cast on the host the spell's effects are negated.]

'Wait what? Which spell? Wait... Could it be that the spell mom cast on me was not a teleportation spell but a spell to negate mind control? So she knew she was going to die no matter what happened and that was her last attempt to do something for me?'

Kaiser felt touched and sad that his mom was protecting him even after her death. He wanted to cry for her but he couldn't. In his mind, he might have still had emotions and felt them, but his body rejected all of them, and most importantly he couldn't show any emotion Infront lf the devil that was holding him.

'I can't waste this chance, If this devil is really trying to mind control me then I'll have to play along the role and make her believe that I'm under her control.'

"Now open your eyes cutie~" the devil said with a flirty tone.

Kaiser opened his eyes and looked at the devil. She had long purple hair and red eyes that drew in people's attention. Her figure similar to a devil was seductive and had enough curves to easily seduce weak weak-willed man.

"His eyes look dull and he's indeed obeying what I said, Yep The spell is working fine like always." the woman muttered happily. She then got down on her knees to be on the same height as Kaiser and opened her arms wide "Now be a good boy and give mommy a hug."

Kaiser felt disgusted but still obeyed her order and let her embrace him 'Endure it endure it endure it.' Kaiser repeated in his mind.

The devil broke the hug "He's so cute I just want to eat him up now." She then caressed Kaiser's face and brought his face closer to her own.

"Hehe, you wouldn't mind if I kissed you right? It's not like you can disagree or anything." She then put her lips on Kaiser's and kissed him.

'Endure it, endure it, endure it... Someone please save me.' Kaiser pleaded in his mind wishing there was someone to save him.

After a few seconds she broke the kiss and licked her lips "Ahh he tastes good. I hit the jackpot with this one." She once again looked at Kaiser "Even the way he's looking at me with those emotionless eyes makes me want him more." she said while giggling and putting her hands on her face.

She then began thinking about how much more fun she could have with this little boy which made her blush heavily.

But that was it. It was all her thoughts because now something happened that leaved her confused.

Just moment ago she was looking at her prey eye to eye, but now Kaiser was looking at her upside down, no it was her that was looking at him upside down. Not only that but Kaiser's face was splashed with blood. Her blood. It finally hit her what was going on. Her head was cut off before she could even react and now she was dying. She laughed one last time before the life in her eyes faded away.

She only had one regret and that was not being able to see her killer's face.

---Kaiser's Pov---

Please someone save me. Was what I thought to myself at that moment and wished for someone to hear my pleading and save me from this woman's hand.

After kissing me she let go of me and then smiled creepily while making a weird face. In a second or so she had a big blush on her face while looking at me. Just thinking about what else would she do to me made me shiver.

I almost lost hope till something happened I didn't expect. Something very swiftly cut the devil's head. Blood splattered on my face and her head fell to the ground. Even now she was still looking at me and was laughing till she calmed down and finally died.

"Not the reaction I thought a kid would make after seeing a scene like this. You should either be scared or at least be happy now that this pervert is dead." Said the new figure that came into the room, while his tone changed at the last part, as if showing his disgust for the devil that he had just killed.

The said figure looked similar to a young man, with blond hair with a strand of hair across his face, and was wearing a business suit. In his left hand was a sword that had a bit of blood on it.

He swung the sword to the side to get the blood off of it and then put it back in its scabbard. He then looked at me "Can you tell me what happened here, child?"

I nodded my head and explained to him what happened from the attack on our house to what happened before he killed that demon. I did leave things like my system out of it because I didn't trust him and even if I did, I wouldn't have told him either way.

After that I asked the question that was lingering on my mind "Why did you save me? I'm just a stranger to you. In the first place, what were you doing here?"

He smiled at me and patted my head "In this world, people kill a person they don't know, so what's the Matter if I save a person I don't know? As for what I was doing, let's say I just was in this area and felt a demonic aura and thus I came here and saved you."

'Hmm, he looks Like a kind guy. Guess I'm safe for now.'

"Umm, Mister what's your name?" I asked politely, after all showing someone that saved you some respect is a way of thanking them.

"Uther, Uther Pendragon. And you young one?" He answered

"Kaiser." I answered back

"Kaiser? That's a good name, it means emperor so your parents must have had high hopes for you." his gaze then hardened "Kaiser for what you live for?"

I look at him confused as it was a weird question to ask from a child, well not like i'm a normal child anymore "What do you mean?"

He sighed "A young boy like you should be traumatized by what has happened. Actually, I'm sure you are traumatized but you can still think straight which is weird itself. Both of your parents are also dead. Yet it seems you hold on to life dearly and want to live. Tell me why is that?" he stopped for a moment before a look of realization appeared on his face "Ah I see now. You want revenge, I'm right aren't I?"

"Yes. I want to take revenge on the person that killed my parents." Whoever is behind this, I'll definitely get my revenge at them.

"Child it seems your take on this matter is rather narrow-minded. Let me ask you this, Why do you think a single exorcist would attack your house? As he said he had prepared a plan and used support for it."

"You mean that it isn't work of freed alone?" I recalled the name of the man that had ruined my life Infront of my eyes.

Uther moved his head "Of course not. What I deduced from your words is that this freed guy doesn't have quite a bright mind hence why he was just a simple pawn ordered by a person that is stronger than him. So you are not up against a single person but a whole group or faction." he then continued "This means you need to be strong enough to overthrow a whole group by yourself."

'But can I do that? Can I be strong enough to get my revenge? As of now no, not only that but I need time to get stronger. So being vulnerable during that time would bear the same result as tonight.' I looked at Uther "I need your help." I asked shamelessly

Uther chuckled "Sure but let's make a deal. Your purpose for living for now is revenge so after you get your revenge, you should be done with your life. I want you to live for me and serve Under me. What I mean is I want you to work for me. If you agree to do it, I will take you in and train you to get strong enough to get revenge."

Without even thinking about it anymore I nodded my head as a sign of approval. After all, I didn't have any purpose other than revenge. As long as I can get my revenge I'll do anything.

He then picked me up and took out a paper and tore it apart. A magic circle appeared and both of us vanished.

After a few seconds, we appeared in front of what I could only describe as a gigantic mansion.

Uther smiled at me like before "Kaiser I welcome you to the house of the Pendragon family, the place that you will spend the rest of your life in, the place that will help you get closer to your goal, your new home."
