Chapter 05: A Test from Father

Early in the morning, I woke up and began to do my routinity. I went to the training ground to do a series of physical exercises and after that, I made some paintings on my canvas.

When it was the time to have breakfast already, I went to the dining room. At there, my other family members had waited for me. Surprised when I saw my father was at here as well. That made me feeling really happy.

I couldn't hold myself to run into my father and hugged him. After all, I was still a little kid, so I thought that it was a normal behaviour.

"Father!"

My father looked at me with a slight smile on his face. As usual, his face was always cold and lack of smile. "Oh, good morning, My Son."

My mother also looked happy for watching the interaction between me and my father. However, she then quickly reprimanded me to behave myself on the dining room. "Remember, My Son. Don't be overacting when you are near the dining table."

I let go of my arms from my father. Lucifer Clan was known for its ultra-formal one. When you were in front of the other clan members, you weren't allowed to express too much affections, such as hugging, and kissing forehead or cheeks, even when you meant to do it to your parents or your spouses.

I took a seat and had my breakfast along with my other family members, such as Aunty Ur, Uncle Razevan, and Grandpa Rizevim. Even though, my father and Uncle Razevan had their houses separated, but they and their families would reunite when it came to having our dishes on the dining room.

After we finished having our breakfast, I, along with my father and my mother, went back to our house. My father looked a little bit disappointed for not finding any meatbun on his working table. Yea, he was a meatbun lover, even when he worked on his table, he would asked my mother to make some and gave them to him.

"So, no meatbun for now, Dear?" asked my father.

"No. I feel really tired now. From ten days ago, I replaced you to train our son. I really want to rest." My mother said as she rubbed her shoulder.

"Hmph. Fine then!" My father replied with a cool frown face.

My mother then went to her bedroom to rest. She left me on my father's working room. Being alone with him made me feeling a bit awkward. My father was often serious and strict when he was near me. He rarely expressed his senses of affection before my eyes.

"Uhm, Father." I called him, trying to start having conversation.

"Speak, My Son." With a cold tone, he replied to my words.

"Uhm…Please pardon me for being brash days ago." It's hard to say it at first, but I pushed myself to do it. I read that the prove of a brave man was when he dared to ask forgiveness for the mistakes that he did.

"Being brash…when?"

"Ten days ago after I won the match against Manticore, I mistook you for not understanding me. I couldn't control myself at that time and showed my impudence in front of the other people."

"Ah, that time." My father stood up and looked into my eyes. "Then, why do you ask my forgiveness. What's the point of that for you?"

"Yes. Actually, I had reflected on my mistakes. It's not like you forbid me to visit Vali, but you don't want me to prioritize the others over my ambition and my development. Therefore, I here ask for your forgiveness because I had a wrong idea about you."

My father slightly smiled at me. He put his hand on my shoulder.

"Very well, My Son. I'm glad that you learn a thing from that event. Thus, I forgive you." My father paused his words. Then, he turned away from me and looked at the outside from the window. "Anyway, what do you do when I was not here?"

" I trained with Mother to shape my demonic power into various things."

"Various things? Hmph, then let's we put a test on that."

"Huh? A Test?"

"Everything need to be tested, My Son. Don't worry, it's not a match against someone."

"Alright then, Father. I'll show you what I've got!"

I, along with my father, went to the training ground. I wouldn't hold myself for performing all of techniques that I had learnt.

I stood on the center of that place, while my father watched me from the side of the field.

"Demonic Spear!"

I created a blue spear from my demonic power. This time, I managed to do the three steps of performing this technique at once.

I held the spear handle and threw that to a stone that was near me. It exploded, making that stone crushed into several fragments. This made me smiling on satisfaction.

I then said loudly to my father, "That's the demonic spear. I was inspired from the angel and the fallen angel."

My father smirked. He said, "I see. You are a type of person who like to observe the other figures. That's good! Show me more!"

"Roger that, Father." I locked my sight on the other nearby stone. "Mirage Edge."

The next thing that I created were swords. One sword for being held on my hand, while five other swords were surrounding my body.

I then rushed to the targeted stone. I performed numerous attacks to it with the sword that I held. The other swords then rotated on the circle formation, slashing the stone in very close range.

"That swords that surround you were actually quite useful for protecting yourself when you attack your target." My father commented my Mirage Edge. "Come on, show me more!"

"I still have more. This time, it will be a wind magic technique."

I deeply took a breath, collecting wind as much as I could on my mouth. 'Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.'

I exhaled the wind straight to my front side. After taking several meters, it blowed away, creating a hurricane. In my opinion, its power was quite strong because it could blow a few of trees here.

"Impressive. I don't believe that my son could create such attack at his age." My father, who stood behind my back, said to me with a prideful tone.

"Mother said to me that you prepared everything for my best future, Father. Therefore, I shall do anything that I can to sharpen my power and abilities, so I'm not going to make you being disappointed."

"Good, My Son. Keep that spirit burning inside your heart." My father looked into my eyes. He expressed a sense of pity when he looked me tired. "For now, it's enough. Yu could get some rests."

"Understood, Father."

I went back to my house together with my father. When we reached there, we went to our own bedroom. He joined with my mother whom was still sleeping.

Meanwhile, decided to paint on my canvas for about an hour. I then felt sleepy and laid myself on my bed. After several minutes passed by, I felt asleep.
