Regals

"Regals!!" Geenre gritted his teeth as he remembered the scene clearly.

His entire world turned into shards of crystals, a beautiful yet disgusting sight to see all the species of the world killed by one being with a flick of finger in less than a few minutes. He could still remember the rainbow coloured eyes staring at him with fury. While below the earth, screams could be heard from all the nations as they tried to run away and avoid being turned into crystals. If he didn't become the Green Diamond's Pearl he would have suffered the same fate as them. Those people would do whatever they can to get what they want, even if it means to destroy an entire planet.

"To think those disgusting beings are alive!" Chrona cursed as she bit her lips.

"Mother, who are the Regals?" Keira asked since she couldn't understand the full situation.

"I can't tell you any information about them, but one thing you should know for sure is that...their power could rival the power of Diamonds," Chrona answered as she looked at her confused daughter.

(Author San here: If you want to know more about Diamonds and Regals you should read the first two chapters of Rising Of A Diamond. Thank you)

"Keira, you should know that Diamonds are the second most powerful beings in the universe that can destroy realities and realms if they want," Chrona told Keira.

Keira: "Then was father powerful?"

Chrona: "Yes he was."

"Then how could he just die like that? Wasn't there a way to preserve his life? I don't understand," Keira cried as crystal looking tears flowed down her face.

"The Gem or let's say the Diamond on your forehead is the reason. That was the life force of your father. Once a Diamond loses their Gem they would die," Chrona answered as she pointed to her daughter's forehead.

"Your father loved you and you should know that. So don't blame yourself," Chrona walked up to Keira as she hugged her and patted her head.

Keira touched her forehead as she felt something hard there. Was that the Diamond?

'This was never here in my previous life,' Keira thought as she touched it.

"Mother one more question. Why couldn't you fight back against Meng Shilou when he came?" Keira asked as she wanted to know badly. Her mother was super powerful so why couldn't she kill him earlier.

"Tch, that disgusting man, how much I wanted him to die for defiling my body with his disgusting figure. The only reason why I couldn't kill him back then was because I sealed my powers. I thought we could finally live in peace in the human realm, but I realised what a foolish decision that was," Chrona gritted her teeth as she frowned. Memories I'd those horrible moments came flashing through her mind. "I'm really sorry Keira for all that you had to go through during that time."

"It's nothing compared to what I experienced in my awakening," Keira shook her head. Her life in the past truly was easy, she was just too dumb to change. She shouldn't think that she's the only one who suffers in this world.

Compared to what she experienced during her Soul Tempering, the pains in her past life were considered as nothing.

"Luckily I have Meng Shilou and his family's soul. Here Keira you can eat them. This way, they would never be free," Chrona sait with an evil grin on her face as three balls of light appeared on her hand.

Keira was slightly hesitant as she looked at the three different coloured balls before her.

"Mother, how can I eat souls?" Keira asked, looking confused.

"It's a speciality of Diamonds," Geenre answered with an annoyed look on his face. He felt like he had been forgotten during the conversation.

"You can eat the soul of anyone to enhance your growth," he added.

"So then how do I eat them?" Keira asked again as her big eyes focused on Geenre.

"Just eat them it is so easy. Just place it in your mouth!" Geenre said fiercely as he was burning up with rage. He couldn't stand talking to a dumb child. "Tch still so dumb."

"Don't insult my daughter," Chrona pouted as she threw light punches at Geenre.

Keira paid no heed to the adults' childish fight. She immediately took the three different color floating balls. Strangely she could actually touch them. Without wasting any more time Keira placed them in her mouth as she chewed them. They had this sweet and sour taste which felt strange but comforting.

Keira then sat in a lotus position on the ground as the surrounding energy was gushing into her body. Although it felt uncomfortable, it then came with a refreshing afterwards.

Keira's head was being spammed with messages as she looked confused.

"Mother, what are those level up signs," Keira pointed in the air where she could see the messages.

"Unfortunately I can't see them. You should be rather asking your Pearl Geenre," Chrona answered as she and Keira looked at Geenre with sparkling eyes.

Geenre kept glaring at Keira who was always worrying him about what to do.

"Hmph why do I always have to tell you what to do?" Geenre grunted as he crossed his arms.

"Isn't that your job as her Pearl?" Chrona asked in annoyance as she looked at that prideful elf. She didn't think that an elf's pride could make them so thick skinned. All he's to do is to help her, so why is he making such a fuss about it?

Chrona just sighed as she realised something and looked at Geenre with a straight face.

"Geenre please, I know that you were forcefully brought here against your will, but please help my daughter," Chrona pleaded with Geenre as she gave a light bow.

Geenre looked at Keira and her mother who were staring at him waiting for an answer, which made him feel uncomfortable.

"Fine it's not like I have a choice," Geenre said bitterly. The past could not be changed and it's better to move on. And after witnessing that Regal, even though he was known as a powerful being in that Realm he can barely stand a chance against that Regal. He too must get stronger.
