Into the Streets.

After Arthur had decided where he was going next, he folded the map and kept it in his bag before preparing to go out.

He stood infront of the entrance door of the apartment and took a deep breath.

"From now on, the situation will be a lot dire..."

Remembering all the incidents and the events that would to come to hit the earth, he felt terrified and almost had a thought of not leaving his room.

But when he thought of his parents living in his hometown without any knowledge of what was happening around the world, he forgot all his previous fear.

"It won't be long before the zombies start to move out of the cities and reach the countryside, and afterwards those will start appearing..."

He clenched his hand in urgency and resolved himself to get stronger and make use of all the opportunities he had before the real terror starts on the earth.

"Sigh..."

Arthur let ou a stressful sigh because knowing the future events was not always a good thing, because you would keep on thinking about those things wondering what could be the best way to take them on and then you'll start to feel overwhelmed with all the tension.

Especially when you were not sure if everything would take place the same way as in the nightmares.

If the situation took a drastic turn from what he remembered, then he wasn't sure what he could do at that time.

Shaking his head, Arthur removed all the unnecessary thought off his mind and instead focused on his objective for today.

"There's no point in dwelling on things I cannot control, so it's better to give my everything on the things I have at hand."

After two days of the apocalypse, the world had already fallen with most of the population turned into monsters.

The cities looked deserted and destroyed with all the mayhem and chaos erupting in the corners of the world.

Making sure he was perfectly prepared for his journey, Arthur held the door of the building's entrance and slowly pushed it open.

The blazing sunshine that didn't look like that of a morning reached inside the building, making him squit his eyes for a proper look outside.

There was an eery silence in the streets which appeared as if it had been gone through an earthquake.

Vehicles were crashed all around with smoke and fire coming out from various places.

Plants and vegetation had suddenly started to grow out of roads and buildings making the street look like an abondened town, totally different from how it looked two days ago.

Arthur poked his head out and surveyed the surroundings, making out several zombies roaming in different locations.

"Bloody fuck, I still can't get used to this hellhole...."

The previous peaceful and busy street had suddenly changed into a chaotic and empty ghosted place with no human alive in sight.

Determination filled Arthur's mind as he finally took a step out, leaving the safe apartment.

Glacing around, he searched the way to the museum and started sneaking his way toward there.

As long as he didn't make a lot of noise, the zombies wouldn't notice him.

That's why Arthur took light steps, while holding his spear for any emergencies.

The beautiful and artistic street situated in the middle of London had turned into a bloody scene. There were lots of corpses laying around, with their bodies too mutilated for them to even turn into zombies.

Arthur made sure to not step on any of the corpses and walked along the footpath with the road on the right side and some bushes on the left side.

Suddenly there came a rustling noise from the bushes and a zombie walked out of it covered with leaves.

Arthur stood still and held his breath not making any noise to alert the zombie.

It wasn't because he was afraid of fighting it, but because the other zombies would notice them and surround him if he did that.

Considering the previous busy and long street, there were around more than a hundred zombies stranded in a mere half a mile.

And Arthur wouldn't be able to take them all on if he got surrounded.

The zombie that came out of the bush was a woman in her undergarments, she looked as if she had just come out from bath and had turned into a zombie quite recently.

After coming out of the bushes, she looked around in a daze.

Her hungry stomach ached making her move tiredly, and when she turned her head around, her eyes widened looking at a prey standing quite close to her.

'Shit!'

Arthur cursed looking at the zombie who was looking at him longing.

Before she could even growl as a greeting, he rushed towards her raising his spear.

The zombie got excited when a human got near her and she started to limp ahead stretching her arms.

A spear suddenly whizzed past her two pale arms and pierced into her open mouth, reaching the inside of her brains and twisting in a frenzy.

He pulled out the spear after making the sure the zombies died.

The zombie lost its consciousness at that one attack and fell behind into the ground.

Arthur wanted to catch ir before it fell down but he didn't feel like touching an almost naked woman who had turned into a zombie.

It made him feel like he was about to do something really nasty, so he felt the corspe on its own as it fell with a thud.

The sound echoed throughout the empty street like a heavy book falling in a silent library, disturbing the false peace and the dangerous serenity.

One after the other, most of the zombies nearby turned around to the noise and started to growl aggressively.

Arthur couldn't feel more miserable as several hungry eyes stared at him for a few seconds before running towards him.

'Oh fuck this shit!'

He didn't even waste time digging out the mana stone and started running forward without trying to hide himself and went away from the zombies.

After consuming the many mana stones his body had improved in every aspect, including his stamina and agility making him run faster than those slow zombies and easily escape from them.

He ran in a zig zag manner escaping and preventing himself from getting surrounded.

A lot of zombies had started to join the crowd and in a few second there were more than twenty zombies behind him.

"Ughh what do I do, what do I do??"

While running away from them, he decided to make a plan to totally escape from the zombies because even if he ran away from them, they would know his general direction and follow him to the museum.

Glancing about the street for anything to use he pondered on what he should do now when suddenly the few cars in the distance made his eyes lit up.

"Right that's not a bad idea."
