"No! I don't want any!"

Layla's expression when talking about food seemed cute, if it weren't the fact it was casual cannibalism she was talking about eating. Matt was suddenly very scared of the Dragoon as he backed away from her.

"Hm? Are you scared of me now?" smirked Layla as she leaned forward to get closer to Matt.

"I've been scared of you in battle, then scared for you and now I am terrified of you! You just casually said you like to eat other Dragoons' tails and have my ears cooked as a snack! What's wrong with you, girl?!"

"All the more you shouldn't get me pissed off, right? Besides, you told me we are here to get armor… Instead, I nearly became a memory from one swing so yes, I would probably go for some bunny ears right about now."

"So you are angry at me… I honestly thought you could handle that last attack since you did so well during the physical attacks phase…" said Matt as he hung his head down in shame.

"You knew what I was doing because you do the same for your gun."

The Loplin widened his eyes as he looked up to stare at the Dragoon.

"You think I didn't notice? Or that I was such an inexperienced person that I wouldn't see such a simple trick?"

"I didn't say that but… From what you've done during the battle, I'm getting mixed information from what you told me and what I saw…"

"It's a simple Enhancement Skill. I would expect Dragoons to be taught that right alongside their math classes," chimed Teemo, who came back with a box filled with cut-up Dragoon tails.

The tails were in a semi-fresh condition and had been cut into slightly smaller pieces. It looked like a mini buffet, with various sizes and colors of tails filling up that box.

Layla's eyes lit up as she saw the box and quickly rushed past poor Matt, towards Teemo. In that Tock, the poor Loplin felt a knife stab through his heart. The Felidae smiled as he placed the box down on the desk.

"How did you manage to get a hold of so much? And how are they all so fresh?" asked Layla, with a sparkle in her eyes.

"I create a special Crystal that is purely for keeping food items and perishables fresh. And as for the tails, I collect them… I used to be a traveler before taking a break. "

"That's where I met Matt as well. And since you're aware of what I'm known for, I don't have to do so much explaining," answered Teemo, seemingly proud of his collection.

"Oh, you don't owe me any explanation other than the fact of why you nearly made my soul homeless…" replied Layla, helping herself to a handful of tails.

"Like what Matt has mentioned, I had no clue that you couldn't handle Elemental attacks… Did your Enhancement fail at the last Tock or did your Elemental Energy ran out?" asked Teemo.

"Nope, my Enhancement Skill doesn't perform well with my defense so there wasn't any way to mitigate that Elemental attack."

The Loplin and Felidae looked incredibly puzzled as Layla slurped up a particularly long tail like a noodle.

"The Enhancement Skill comes in a few categories. One of the reasons that I would say I can't handle being alive on the battlefield is because my Enhancement Skill isn't proper yet."

"I have yet to learn about Enhancing my defense…"

"Wait now I am completely lost… Then how were you able to handle the attacks I did against you?!" asked the Felidae.

"Hold on… I think I get what she's saying… The Enhancement Skill that you've learned can only be applied to your physical levels. Anything with regards to Elements or Magecraft…"

"I have no clue about it, you are right. Looks like you are smart, bun boy," continued the Dragoon.

"Even so, your Enhancement Skills are quite great for a novice. It was such a fun time battling you earlier," praised Teemo.

"Well, thank you! And these are actually quite tasty! I would buy from you as my food supplier if I was still running the Tavern. Hell, I'd buy from you as a snack vendor… You'd be so rich if you set up shop outside of Valokia."

"If you've got some bunny ears back there and a kitchen, I could whip up some snacks for everyone to enjoy," complimented Layla as she chewed on a bunch of tails.

"Well, we've got a pair of them right in front of us..." said Teemo, slowly looking at the Loplin.

"You hold him down and I cut them off?"

"Oi! I'm not some kind of snack that you can eat! I've got a soul and aspirations, you know?!" shouted Matt, hiding his ears.
