Accident

Applying extra lip gloss to keep her lips soft in that winter season, she zipped her buttoned coat and tied her boots. She checked her appearance in her car's mirror before getting inside her car. She buckled her seat belts when she remembered she had classes tonight.

~ 𝘖𝘩 𝘨𝘰𝘴𝘩! 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘪 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 ? 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘪 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺.~

She smiles inwardly.

"I will skip today's class, I'm not coming to School today" the setting sun was taking Lian's transparency.

"Lian, is everything alright ? Why will you skip ?" Akari asked.

"Why?.... actually I don't have a reason but I'm not coming" Ye Lian adjusted the bluetooth earphone, "just do me a favor Akari, send me today's notes."

"Sure, I will send you everything but take care, I will be meeting you tomorrow at school."

"Yeah, now I shall hang up" She picked up speed on the accelerator, "because I'm driving to the dorm. Bye!" she hung up.

The setting sun, the orange sky, the fresh evening air through her car window felt so great, but she felt something wrong in her surroundings, her chest hurted badly, something was going to be wrong!

Her dorm, the special house where she lived or may be where she hid from daylight and from the sun was pretty far from her school, and in the midst of the forests.

"~𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘢 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘚𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦~" 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘺.

The weather was getting colder as the night fell, Lian decided to take the short-cut to her home. But she had never taken that road before. She only remembered when once aunt Sila drove her through this path, so it won't be such a trouble to take that road to reach home.

Lian drove her car to the short-cut road to her home, there were no road lights there and neither any house nor any humans. The more she drove ahead, the more dense forests were that were visible to her.

She stepped on the brake and stopped the car, it was so dark in that forest, that she cannot even predict which way to go. It was so terrifying to think that if she got stuck in that forest for a whole night, or even months, no one would know where she was, maybe she would never be able to find her!

"Whoosh!" huh? She catches someone running among the bushes through her corner of eye. She guessed she was hallucinating.

Lian got frightened. She clutched the steering wheel tightly.

She closed all the car windows and locked the doors, for a moment she just bowed down my head on the steering and she could hear the gushing sound in the bushes, the crickets were singing out there, the sound of beetles flapping their wings, the sound of flapping wings of huge birds, the....

~𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵! 𝘈 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘥?~ her eyes went wide in fear.

She started the engine without any second thoughts and stepped on the accelerator. She took the car as far as she could, with the highest speed. She just didn't know where she was heading, her fear got the best of her and the only thought that was rushing her adrenaline was that she needed to get out of there in order to survive.

~𝘉𝘦𝘦𝘱! 𝘉𝘦𝘦𝘱!~ her phone's light glowed up.

Lian drove with her left hand while she checked what was with her phone. Her phone had no network and the battery was about to die was all she could see. She tossed her phone on the side seat and continued to drive.

~𝘙𝘪𝘯𝘨...𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨....𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘨𝘨!~

She stopped the car to see who had called her when there was no network in this forest. Her phone showed it was her aunt Sila and her phone has a network. That meant she was close to her home. She sighed thinking that she will be able to reach home.

"Hello? aunt Sila?" she picked up the call.

"Dear child! Where are you? I had tried calling you numerous times and everytime your number was unreachable!" Lian could hear panic was gushing through her aunt.

"Aunt don't worry, I'm fine and....~𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘱! 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘱!~" her phone's battery was finally dead.

~𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘱! 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦? 𝘈𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯~

Lian closed her eyes. She was tired, she was afraid, lonely and helpless. She bowed down her head again on the steering wheel and tried to recollect her thoughts.

~𝘚𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩...𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘩!~ she heard the rustling sound of wind and tree leaves, she shivered and had goosebumps even if the car windows were closed.

~𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬...𝘬𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬...𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬!~ she could even hear footsteps on dried leaves but could not figure out if it was a human or an animal.

She opened her eyes, started the car again and drove as far as she could go, as fast as the car could go. Lian was scared to death, she was trembling with fear.

She was not brave enough to see what was coming behind her, she was just driving as far as she could go that night.

Her focus was on the road, her hands were trembling on the steering wheel while a cold shiver ran down though her spine giving her goosebumps.

She gave her full strength in driving faster until she was out of energy and stamina.

Out of nowhere, in the middle of the forest, the car headlights showed the danger sign board ahead! Lian tried to stop the car by pressing the brakes, but it seemed there was a brake failure.

Lian had no wish to die, she didn't even know that this short-cut road would lead her to death. Lian's car crossed the danger sign, she clutched the steering wheel as if it was any kind of ultimate weapon for surviving, She leaned back to her seat, tightened her seat belt and closed her eyes because she knew...

She knew that she would die!

***CRASH !!***

The car's tire bumped into something that she was unaware of but then Lian's car moved forward with a very high speed and in a blink of an eye, the car was flying?

Lian's car was falling into a river from the mountain! She unbuckled her seat belt to jump from the car, but it was too late!

The car along with Lian both fell into the river.
