Imagination

A/N:     Song used-- Imagination by Shawn Mendes aka my FAVORITE song at the moment. Also, I feel this song is one of the best songs used to describe Dramione. Part 6 of Trapped Together

"Come on man," Blaise sighed sitting in the Head Dorms with Draco, who was Head Boy.

"No, Blaise, I'm not going to do it. I've already told you, she hates me," Draco argued.

"You don't know that," Blaise said.

"She's terrified of me. Anytime I come within ten feet of her she starts hyperventilating and having a panic attack," Draco reasoned his voice breaking on 'terrified of me'.

"Because you had to give her to your aunt. If you hadn't, she would've died for sure. You would've to," Blaise told hi.

"Blaise, no," Draco stated, "I'm not."

"Fine. At least practice then. I can't believe your mum is making you sing at the wedding," Blaise laughed.

"I don't even know who it is, yet they asked mum to get a teenaged boy too sing this stupid muggle song," Draco groaned.

"Muggle song?" A new voice asked that belonged to the small brunette of Hermione Granger, "Which one?"

"Uh, Imagination," Blaise said looking down at the paper of lyrics, "By Shawn Mendes. Ever heard of him."

"Oh I've heard of him," Hermione said with a dreamyish look in her eye, "But I've never heard 'Imagination'. Must be new."

"Yeah Draco," she flinched at his name and stepped closer to Blaise, "Has to sing it at a wedding. His mums forcing him."

"That's, nice," Hermione said her voice shaking slightly, "See you." She smiled at Blaise before heading into the kitchen, where the boys could hear her breathing become rapid as she tried to force air into her lungs.

"Damn, this song really describes your problem," Blaise said reading through it.

"I know," Draco sighed, "Every word in there is true."

"Well, go ahead," Blaise said pressing play on the iPod Hermione had taught him how to use.

"Damn Draco, I didn't realize you were that good," Blaise breathed.

"It helps when the its true," Draco sighed, "Hermione will hate me forever."

"What did you just say?" Hermione asked, frozen in the doorway where she had stood listening.

"Uh, nothing?"

"He said the song was how he feels about you," Blaise said.

"Blaise!" Draco cried his face burning red.

"No. No you're lying," Hermione declared shaking, "He doesn't. He would never."

"He does."

"He gave me to that woman. He doesn't love me," Hermione said forcefully.

"He had no choice," Blaise said.

"There was a choice," Hermione whispered, "There were at least twenty different ways for Harry, Ron, him, and I to escape but he did nothing. He gave me up to her for his own skin."

"Hermione-"

"Don't Blaise. I don't want to hear lies," Hermione said before turning away and walking into her bedroom, slamming the door before leaning against it and sliding down to tuck her knees up to her face.

"I messed up," Draco sighed his heart breaking, "She'll never love me the same way I love her."

"Try," Blaise said softly, "You can do it."

Blaise stood up dragging Draco with him. He pushed Draco towards Hermione's door offering him an encouraging smoke before leaving the Heads Dorms, but not before setting up a camera of course and sending a Patronus out to entire school to go to the Great Hall to watch some amazing drama.

Draco stood frozen on the spot. He could hear Hermione's soft sobs from behind the door.

When he was finally able to move, he walked forward and sat down, leaning against her door. She seemed to sense his presence and seized her crying at once in shock.

"What do you want?" She asked softly, barely above a whisper.

"I'm sorry."

"No you're not."

"I am. I was scared and a coward. I chased you through that house for hours just to hand you off to your potential death. I was an idiot and I don't blame you for hating me."

"Do you remember it?" She asked in a heavy voice.

"Not a day has passed where it hadn't crossed my mind at least twice."

Hermione closed her eyes as the memory replayed and she spoke it aloud.
