Chapter 74

Returning back to our Mc, you could see that Sage, the Z fighters, and tens of other people are standing below the arena, where they'll be conducting the martial arts battle. Standing atop the arena is the announcer, as he calls up the first battle of the official tournament.

Announcer-"Now it is time for the tournament to begin! Will participants number 21, and 2 please come up to the arena!"

While standing with everyone we watched as the fighters went into the arena, and got into their own fighting stance, waiting for the referee to start the battle. Sensing the human's power, I can tell they are both trained martial artists, but the big one vastly outclasses the other one to the point where it is ridiculous.

Once the battle started the smaller human ran straight to his opponent but before he could even get close, the big guy raised his hand and released a ki blast, which instantly knocked the guy out, resulting in his win. When he was walking off the arena, I noticed the back of his shirt had a giant character that read 'Crane', seeing that it immediately reminded me of Tien, so I asked him about it.

Sage-"Hey Tien, is that someone from your Dojo?"

Tien-"Yes it is, I'm surprised you remember Sage. That man was the disciple you met when you visited my dojo with Mia, his name is Buck."

Goku-"You have a dojo Tien, that's cool!"

Krillin-"And your disciple's strength is impressive, his power is about equal to Nappa's!"

While they were talking, that guy, I mean Buck walked up to Tien before bowing and walking away. Focusing back on the announcer as he calls up another set of contestants that I don't care about, and the battle was pathetic anyway.

It's been a few battles before someone from our group was finally called up, and it was Piccolo who was to fight next.

Announcer-"Participants number 67 and number 4 come to the arena!"

The battle between Piccolo and his opponent was as underwhelming as possible, I mean an ant has a far better chance of winning against a human than that man had to win against Piccolo, once the arena was cleared they started the next battle.

Announcer-"Will participants number 73 and 68 come up to the arena!"

When my eyes landed on participant 73, I don't know where I'd seen this person, but I knew for sure I knew him/her. They were wearing a large dark-cloaked jacket, so I couldn't see their appearance at all, and even when I tried to sense their power, I felt nothing, but I knew they must've been hiding it somehow.

Their opponent was a woman who also has the same character on the back of her clothes as Buck did, which means she is probably another one of Tien's disciples, and while she wasn't as strong as buck, she wasn't too far behind either. The woman looked like a human delinquent that I've heard about, she has the right side of her head shaved, and she doesn't even wear her gi on correctly, she wears the right side only and leaves the left side hanging down, she has no shirt underneath so she has to wrap her breasts with bandages to keep them contained.

Right when the match started the woman didn't even have enough time to move from her spot before she was blasted away with a ki attack, she was about to be slammed into the audience but Tien moved fast enough and caught her.

With the cloaked person winning the match, the tournament continues with several of the Z fighters along with my parents getting called into the arena, of course the fights were all easily won, well except for Videl who was having some difficulty. After the 40th match, the announcer came back out and started speaking again.

Announcer-"With only 40 people remaining, it has now entered the 2nd phase of the tournament, and the most exciting part. Before we begin there will be a 10-minute interlude, so fighters prepare!"

10-minutes later, the first match of the second phase finally started, and it was quite interesting, to say the least.

Announcer-"Will participants number 73 and 20 come up to the arena!"

It seems I wasn't the only one to have taken interest in the mysterious figure, because when the numbers were called everyone started paying attention, and the reason is that #20 is 18.

Krillin-"Be careful 18, we don't know anything about that person."

18-"I'll be fine."

Once 18 and the cloaked figure arrived on the arena, they got into fighting positions and once the referee officially started the battle, those two disappeared from everyone's eyes, excluding us obviously. While watching them fight, it made me remember something that I forget happened during the original 25th world martial arts tournament.

Sage-'No wonder that person seemed so familiar, it's because it's Goten, Trunks, and my daughter! Tsk, and for no one to be able to sense their ki, must've been Mia using some of the runes Nala had made for her.'

Now knowing that the cloaked person is actually 3 different children, I can now see how uncoordinated the torso, the legs, and the arms are to each other, I might've caught it earlier if they actually fought their opponent instead of using a ki blast.

Watching them flash all around the area while fighting, I can tell 18 has definitely gotten stronger than before, but it's not enough to defeat her opponents, well she is fighting against 3 different people while one of them is stronger than her and the other two are close in strength to her.

The battle continued for about another 5 minutes before 18 was finally knocked onto the ground out of the arena, which means she's lost.

Announcer-"I-I don't know what happened but It seems participant number 20 has been knocked out of the arena, which means participant number 73 has won the first match!"

18-"Tch"

When the cloaked figure landed you could see that their clothes didn't have any damage on them, which everyone else took as a sign that they were still holding back while fighting 18. But knowing it was just a group of children, I concluded that Mia probably used another one of Nala's runes on the clothes, so they don't get damaged resulting in them getting exposed.

Tien-"It seems this person is quite powerful."

Yamcha-"Yeah, to defeat 18 and still have their clothes intact must mean their strong."

Goku-"I can't wait to fight them, hope they still got a lot left in the tank!"

Zucci-"Well you'll have to go after me as I want to fight them first!"
