Chapter 136

After I taunted Kakarot, he looked at me before flashing right in front of me, with a speed even slightly faster than I can achieve with my bracers on, then he punched me in the face, which I barely dodged but I wasn't able to dodge the kick he sent right afterward.

Sage-'His speed and reflexes are great, but his strength isn't much stronger than when he's in his SSGSS form as I barely even felt that attack.'

Stopping myself from the momentum I gained when I got kicked, I throw several punches at Kakarot which he easily dodges, as he weaves his way closer to me through all the punches and elbows me in the stomach, though with how weak his strength is I didn't even flinch as I quickly tried grabbing a hold of him, sadly he managed to just barely escape from my grasp.

Sage-"Your speed is impressive, but your strength is quite lackluster Kakarot, who are you expecting to beat like this?"

As I block his relentless attacks, I wait for the perfect time to be able to hit him, and right when his fist is about to hit me, I stop being defensive and aim a punch at his stomach, which I luckily managed to land, causing Kakarot to get flung in the distance, though he quickly caught himself.

However, by then I was right in front of him, and giving him no chance to stabilize himself, I kick him in the face, which he somehow managed to dodge by leaning backwards, doing a pose that should defy gravity. Seeing how off-balance he was, I tried to sweep underneath his legs but created mini-ki blasts that when exploded propelled him off the ground and into the air, before he landed in the distance perfectly.

Sage-'UI is a hell of a technique isn't it?'

Ignoring the impressive feat that Kakarot had just done, I charge back into battle, with Kakarot dodging most of my attacks and me tanking all of his attacks as they're weak, this went on for a little bit before Kakarot suddenly backed away in the distance.

Goku-"Hmm, I'm starting to get the hang of this."

With that comment, the power radiating off of Kakarot further intensified as his aura became even denser than before, though the increase in power didn't seem to be huge, he was definitely stronger than he was previously.

Then all of a sudden, he appeared right in front of me as he punched me in the stomach and kicked me into the distance before I could even react.

Sage-'His strength has slightly increased, but his speed, his speed is on par with my base power, I'll see how the battle proceeds and if I can't do anything I'll unseal my bracers.'

Right, when I stopped myself, Kakarot was already in front of me in the motion of attacking, I wouldn't be able to do anything, so I planted my feet firmly on the ground and tanked the punch, which dealt no damage but I didn't get sent flying.

I didn't bother attacking him as his speed was too fast for me to be able to land a hit on him, so I only tried counter-attacking and that showed minimal success as well, seeing how none of my attacks are doing anything, I start brainstorming on how to counter Kakarots speed.

Sage-'What if I do something similar to what King Ice did, but instead I create some sort of armor with my ki that causes an explosion whenever it takes damage!'

So as the battle continues, whenever I'm given an opening, I slowly start covering my body in ki starting from my feet, and after a while, I've managed to fully cover myself in my reddish green ki, the good thing about this is that the ki covering my body is very thin which allows it to blend in with my aura when powered up.

Seeing Kakarot aiming a kick at my head, a smirk made its way onto my face as right when his foot touched my head an explosion happened which flung Kakarot in the distance with smoke coming off his body.

Sage-'Good news, it worked, bad news it does damage to me as well, oh well that's fine it's a technique I came up on the fly for this situation anyways so I don't plan on using it again.'

After seeing the result of my armor, I charge over to Kakarot while firing ki blasts blocking any chance for him to escape, forcing him to come and fight me, when he gets close to me I open my arms to try and cover as much space as possible to increase the odds of him touching me, though that didn't work as Kakarot snaked his way underneath me, though he must've forgotten about my tail.

Something that caught my attention, was when I unwrapped my tail from my waist and touched him with it, it seemed he never once noticed it as he didn't even attempt to dodge my tail. Watching him get sent crashing into the ground from the explosion, I was slightly confused as I didn't think what had just happened was a fluke considering the technique he's using is one used by angels, albeit he hasn't mastered it, but still.

I waited for him to get back as I was still pondering what had happened, once he got up he launched at me while also covering his body in ki which somehow offset my armor's ability, allowing him to hit me with no explosion being generated, however as I said, I didn't really care much since I came up with it on the fly.

While he was attacking me, I punched at his stomach and I actually managed hit him, which proved my hypothesis about what happened earlier.

Sage-'I see, when I used my tail I didn't have any intention of harming him, true my goal was to harm him and my armor did cause him harm, but that was the armor, not me. Same with when I just punched him, I had no intention of harming him, which means the attack itself did no damage to Kakarot, but still, to be able to touch him while he's using UI, I think I've found a loophole. Sadly I highly doubt when Kakarot fully masters this technique that'll work, the only reason it's even working now is that he hasn't mastered it yet.'

We were still fighting even while I was thinking that, but in the middle of the battle, I noticed Kakarots aura is slowly dimming, and it seemed he sensed it as well, as he stopped attacking and flashed away into the distance while charging up a Kamehameha.

Seeing him do that, I launch several Galaxy Spirals into the air, and once they reached their peak, they all split off into several different Ki waves as they started heading back toward the ground around Kakarot.

As I watch Kakarot come running at me dodging all the ki waves while still charging his Kamehameha, I charge up a Plasma Stream as well, once he got had arrived close to me, he jumped into the air to dodge the last couple ki waves.

Sage-"Got you, Plasma Stream!"

Seeing him jump up into the air allowing for little maneuverability, I smiled, before unleashing my Plasma Stream right at him, though right when it was about to hit him he did something insane, he flipped his body upside down and placed the Kamehameha he's been holding in his hands on my Plasma Stream, allowing him to ride on my attack.

Sage-'I had completely forgotten that this even happened, but still, to be able to do that, what impressive ki control.'

When he reached right above me he unleashed his Kamehameha at me point blank range, causing me to get fully engulfed in the attack.

Goku-"KAMEHAMEHAAAAA!!"
