chap 8

Sarah's pov

'There goes Anator, makes you wonder who it is that he is going after ' I think to myself as I walk along the top of the village wall keeping my eyes on the forest. "Sigh it's so boring it's been days since the last group of refugees came here." I complain setting the torch in a socket. " Here sis gave a drink. If you want I'll take watch for a bit." Jako walks up with two hot cup of tea and hands me one of them," Thank you and no if you watch the forest anything can come from the right you idiot." I take the cup and roll my eyes and look back out to the forest.

"Hey Jako do you see that little girl out there." I ask setting my cup down and walk close to top of the wall. "Yes I do." He says as he slowly walks to the gate wheel " State your business!" I call out to the girl readying my bow, " Fleeing the south." The girl stutters while she shivers, "open the gate we have a survivor!" I call down to my brother who quickly opens the gate then runs out to help the girl. "SOMEONE GET A FIRE GOING AND SOME FOOD ASAP!" he yells picking the girl up and runs towards the the main square.

I jump down and close the gate, turn and see Tor getting a fire going as Gretha hand the little girl and bowl of soup and a draping a coat over her. jako walk back towards the gate. "What is her story?" I ask earnestly he just looks back at the girl " Her parents were turned into the cursed and tried to attack her somehow she got away." he says as we look back at her, " Then she doesn't know how lucky she is." I say bluntly as I climb back up on to the wall.

few hours later

"Hey Sarah time to switch out." I turn to see Tor coming up the stairs. " Alright then where did my brother go off to?" I ask as I head down the stairs, " He said he was going to the stronghold." Tor says I just shake my head and head towards the fire and grabs a bowl of soup and sets down near the girl. " What is your name?" I ask as I start to eat she just looks up at me " Bea." she says as they two of us start talking for a while.

"Hey sarah." I look up and see Anator walking up with two others. "What can I do for you Anator?" I ask standing up , "Can you watch these two for me real quick." Anator say before running off towards the gate. " Guess I don't have a choice sit down kids." I sigh sitting back down " so what is your names?" I ask the two, the little girl answers "I'm net and that is my older brother Ime."
