Chapter Twenty Seven

Hermione stood there for a while. Guilt and fear ran deep through her. How could she be so stupid and say that she'll have a baby with Ron? What was she thinking? After everything that they had been through...

And now Draco was angry at her. Very angry, she thought as her eyes looked to the broken wall.

She made her legs move and she walked over to the beach, following Draco who had stalked out there to calm down. She watched Draco's back for a second before pushing forward.

Hermione reached him and tentatively placed a hand on his shoulder, he didn't look up so Hermione hugged him from behind.

‘I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said that.’ Hermione whispered.

Draco didn't say anything. Hermione sat next to him and watched as he looked out into the sea. She held a had out to him. His jaw locked before he gently took it.

Hermione clasped her hand in his and turned him around to face her.

‘Sorry.’ whispered Hermione.

‘No I'm sorry. I shouldn't have... You know, punched the wall.’ Draco muttered, feeling guilty.

‘I love you.’ Hermione whispered, leaning her lips closer, she grazed her lips to his and they both stood up.

‘We should go.’ Draco said hugging her.

‘Okay, but where are we going first?’ Hermione asked as they made their way inside the house.

‘Our house,’ Draco muttered.

They got their suitcases and disapparated.

They stopped at a peaceful neighbourhood, with huge houses. The house in front of them was amazing. It was big, the grass was cut to perfection and the flowers grew happily.

Draco got a key from his pocket and unlocked the door, letting her go in first.

Hermione walked in to a long hall with a staircase on the right. A table held a single vase full of flowers and a white telephone. She saw the simple bathroom and the kitchen. It was black and white, a breakfast bar in the middle and a cooker, fridge and other counters around it. Nearer the door was a four seater table.

‘Four seats...’ Hermione pointed out and walked past Draco.

She saw the study, complete with two bookcases and a computer desk and chair. She reached the living room which was blue and cream. There was a sofa and two comfy chairs by the fireplace.

‘I'm impressed. Thank you.’ Hermione said, kissing him. Her own house, she thought and grinned to herself.

‘Look upstairs.’ Draco said leading her up the stairs.

She saw a big green and red bedroom with a double bed and a walk in closet and also a bathroom. There was a dresser with Hermione's make up, perfumes and brush on it and a few of Draco's aftershaves.

There were two other smaller bedrooms and a bathroom between them.

‘So there’s four seats at the table and two empty bedrooms up here. Are you sure you don't want kids?’ Hermione chuckled to let him know she was joking.

They went downstairs silently and into the living room. Draco turned the TV on to show a programme with a small baby and parents in a hospital.

‘Draco! If that's not a sign, I don't know what is!’ Hermione laughed, pulling him down, she faced him, ‘I want a baby. Your baby.’

Draco smiled and started to shake his head.

‘Come on, he'll have my nose, you're beautiful eyes, your lips-’ Hermione said, touching his lips.

‘No she will have your lips.’ Draco said.

‘He.’

‘She.’

‘Does this mean... You want a baby?’ Hermione asked, excitedly.

Draco closed his eyes and nodded, ‘if it’s what you want then... Hermione, our family is going to start eventually. I have one condition though.

‘Great.’ Hermione said, kissing him, ‘what condition?’

‘We do it right now.’ Draco said as Hermione settled back into the sofa, ‘and whenever else I want.’

‘Now?’ Hermione asked, surprised.

Draco grinned.

‘Now!’ He replied before kissing her, making Hermione laugh.

---

‘This?’ Draco asked, holding up a long blue and white box.

‘Yes that!’ Hermione chuckled, taking it from him, ‘We will need to wait a few weeks though before we can test it.’

‘But how will that tell you if you're pregnant?’ Draco wondered out loud.

‘It will, Draco.’ Hermione said, laughing excitedly.

‘A girl I did it with thought she was pregnant so she just did a spell...? Can't you do that?’ Draco asked.

‘I don't know the spell.’ Hermione muttered.

‘Okay, so we wait.’ Draco said, lying on the bed

---

A few weeks later, Hermione was excited and Draco was nervous.

‘Okay, I'm going to do it!’ Hermione announced excitedly, going into the bathroom.

She peed on the stick and out it on the counter. Washing her hands, she couldn't help but smile. She patted her stomach, wondering if she was pregnant.

‘Hermione, can I come in?’ Draco asked nervously.

Hermione opened the door, counting in her head and both waited impatiently.

58... 59... 60

Hermione let out a sound making Draco jump. She picked the stick up and saw the colour.

Draco peered at it.

‘What does that mean?’ Draco asked nervously.

‘I-’ Hermione stared at it.

‘Hermione, come on... Tell me!’ Draco said, his hands turning her around.

‘I'm pregnant!’ Hermione screamed.

Her hear beat faster due to her excitement. Draco laughed nervously and happily. Both hugged each other and Draco's hand covered Hermione's on her stomach. A baby... they were going to have a child.
