Double Moon

##completed## Double Moon is a wolf book, but not the typical one with alpha mates and clichés. If you're looking for that, you're in the wrong place. This book has a supernatural vibe like Vampire Diaries and Teen Wolf, but it's also different. You have to read it to understand. It blends technology and fantasy in a way that could be called sci-fi. This book has both ancient and modern elements. The only downside to the book might be too many characters, but it could also be the strength of the book. It's ironic, anyway. Maybe, at the end, I represented these numerous characters very well and fleshed out the theme and plot line, or maybe not. You're free to rate on that. ... Meet Jun Mey - a mysterious figure who defies categorization. In a world where humans crave freedom and wolves fight for survival, Jun Mey stands alone, chased by both hunters and wolves who see her as a dangerous threat to their existence. She is an enigma, an unexpected force that can bring both groups to extinction. But Jun Mey is not defenseless - she pays back her enemies twofold for the damage they cause her. With a fierce determination to show them what it feels like to lose something precious, Jun Mey will stop at nothing to prove her strength.

Chapter 2.2

Nuan Mei immediately drew attention to herself; people also followed her eye toward Xia Wuya's direction. Seeing this reaction, Xia Wuya hugged Deli's arms in fear, her body fidgeting.

'Gave you a chance to be relevant, you shrugged it. Mey, you'll realize you only need me,' Deli mused, crossing his arms.

'Deli can only be mine,' Xia Wuya felt restless.

While the dramatic conflict carried on, a new student entered the classroom.

'This is highly acclaimed Ma Liu University. Let's see what the future holds here,' the new student silently clenched his fist.

'That same demeanor in my dream. I can't mistake it,' Jun Mey observed the second she gazed at the new student. However, she wondered about the thing on every student's mind: why did he leave his school?

Still observing, Jun Mey noticed the new guy had medium hair with wispy ends. She felt that hairstyle was a woman's hairdo.

Furthermore, the guy could be the sole male with that hair. Regardless, Jun Mey concluded he looked adorable with it.

"I heard his name is Chi An," Nuan Mei said, humming a popular song in Ma Liu city.

Nuan Mei playfully prodded Jun Mey When she still noticed she was unresponsive.

Hearing Nuan Mei's playful tease, Jun Mey calmly turned to her. She knew she would talk about it for days.

"Are you sure Chi An is his name?" Jun Mey asked with a calm tone.

"Yeah, the guy's name sounds like a flying dog," Nuan Mei jumped around, bringing the class's attention to her.

'So that's the only image my friend can conjure about the name?' Jun Mey wasn't surprised.

Chi An angled his body to the wall, standing around the doorpost, his gaze to the ground, avoiding making eye contact with the class. After a time, an instructor approached the platform.

This person was Chung Dong. Furthermore, he was their sociology teacher. This teacher was in his early forties and had a wrinkled and saggy face.

Moreover, his earlobe was longer than the average lobe: a long rope. Similarly, his apparel was oversized: he dressed ridiculously.

Chung Dong breathed like a giant pig who had run a thousand miles just by ascending the podium.

The guy had a constant frown, but that was nothing new to the students: his frown was a household appearance.

A student said, "Shhh, the Angry Mob is here."

Another student interrupted, "Is he the one to teach?"

A female student spoke over the voice of the previous speaker: "Is he supposed to teach us?"

The students murmured things, but the nickname 'Angry Mob' stood out.

"Hey, it's Angry Mob," Nuan Mei stuck out her tongue. Nuan Mei didn't care what the teacher was because she was herself.

Jun Mey continued to sit erect amidst the commotions. She knew how vexing the stated instructor could be, but she wasn't bothered by it.

'These stupid children. I would have dealt with you people long ago if it hadn't been for the school director,' Chung Dong furrowed his brow. Breathing heavily, he thought, 'do you consider yourselves to be anything?'

"Where is the transfer student?" Chung Dong spoke with a panting voice, rolling his eyes.

"My name is Chi An," the new student spoke in a fast-paced, stressing his last sentence.

"What did you say?" Chung Dong paced around impatiently. 'Why can't I hear him? Does he not observe breaks in his speech?'

"Come introduce yourself," Chung Dong said, crossing his arms.

Even when Chi An noticed Chung Dong's attitude, he didn't attach importance to him—like that's how people treated him. He moved indifferently to the podium. He forced himself to bow to everyone as soon as he entered the stage.

"My name is Chi An," Chi An said, silently clenching his fist.

A student immediately interrupted Chi An, "Where are you running off to? We can't hear you, damn!"

Another one said, "What sort of speaking pattern is this?"

Another student snorted, saying, "That's not my concern. The guy should pay homage and an acceptance fee before we acknowledge him."

Another person interrupted. He said, "That's right. We don't want someone who destabilizes the order."

Different people had diverse opinions of Chi An. They gossiped in loud and low tones, making the class heated and boisterous.

'This person looks cute, but why does he speak fast?' Xia Wuya pondered, frowning.

'I need to take this boy under my wing or control him. You serve me, or I suppress you,' Deli smirked, devising a notorious strategy to assimilate Chi An.

Seeing the class acceptance and manner, Chi An switched to a blank face, 'no form of manner—why should I care? I merely came here to play rugby.'

To settle the tension, Chung Dong only deepened his frown and sighed heavily.

"Choose your seat, boy," Chung Dong panted, clenching his fist.

Chi An stepped away from the podium; he went to a seat next to Jun Mey and Nuan Mei and sat.

"Hey, do you like chicks like my friend?" Not trying to understand the atmosphere, Nuan Mei asked the seated guy. 'Mey broke up, so I must match her with another one,' Nuan Mei clapped her hands, smiling.

'Is this girl crazy? Could my first day go any worse than this?' Chi An maintained his blank expression, not easing up.

Although Chi An did conclude it was useless to communicate with his coursemates, he couldn't deny he found the girl interesting.

Not intending to waste time, Chi An replied indifferently, "just fine."

Seeing Chi An's attitude, Jun Mey couldn't help but take another cursory glance.

'Not even batting an eyelid?' Jun Mey calmly assessed.

'Not working? I must defeat you, young lord,' Nuan Mei reasoned dramatically.
