Chapter 2:

20 years later,

It is new morning of june in korea, yet coldness was spread all over the world.

At this time there would've been a hot blazing sun heating everyone up with its fire. But instead it was dull and weak ball of fire which was dying.

Since the auspicious day the sun was attacked by something which scientists refer to as a black hole which wasnt powerful enough to completely absorb the sun's energy.

They are still finding the reason to uncover this mystery and come up with a solution.

People believed whatever they wanted to believe. Some thought that the day of end is near. Some believed this was the work of the enemies and what not.

However, there was a 24 years old girl who was trying to live a normal life admist all of this.

With no family or relatives, she was brought upon by her only grandmother who died last year.

Currently younha kim was studying literature in oxford University, a bright student who madly loves to read fantasy fiction and lives with her roomate in one of the apartments near the university.

The black haired girl didnt slept the entire night in her pjs reading another one of fantasy fiction written by unknown authors on her laptop.

Realizing it was 6 in the morning she mentally slaps herself half proud and half sad for completing another one of a book she loves.

Looking around her room, she finally gets up after shutting her laptop and heads to her attached bathroom to get ready for the day.

After spending an hour or so she comes out and wears a winter outfit and looks at the pale yellow sun outside.

"Geez looks like poor buddy is still unwell.", she said to herself and went out the door to find her roommate outside in the living room with her suitcases.

"Ah yes your going back to your parents right? But the vacations haven't even started yet!", younha said in disappointment. "You know how my parents are...", june her roomate said hugging her friend.

Just then her phone starts ringing and she quickly picks it up. "Yes? Oh yeah im ready... okay im coming.", she said and then cutted the call.

"Looks like the driver is here. Ill see you after vacations babe.", june said and hugged her again for the last time before opening the door and taking her suitcases with her.

"Bye!", she said and left the apartment. Younha sighted and plopped on the couch feeling the empty and quiet apartment as soon as her friend is gone.

"Well younha looks like your on your own now...", she said to herself and taking her bag and laptop she also goes out of the apartment locking the door.

She starts her jeep which was a fortune which her grandmother left her and she has kept it very well uptil now.

"Lets go...", she said pushing her feet on the pedals and got out of the parking lot on to the road. As there were less cars at this time so she made a stop at the coffee shop first.

The ringing of the bell made the baristas attention on her and her mood became cheerful seeing younha.

"Jihyo good morning how are you?", younha said entering inside, she could see two to three people only in the shop.

"What would you like to have?", she asked. "Of course the usual, banana milk latte.", younha reminded and jihyo went to work on her drink.

"Here's your latte!", jihyo said handing the cup to her while younha paid for the coffee.

There was another customer which refrained younha from talking to jihyo as she had to take care of her customers.

"Ill then see you tomorrow?", she asked and jihyo nodded before paying her attention to the customer.

"I would like to have a banana milk latte.", it was a male voice. Younha smiled hearing that there was someone else too who loved this combination.

"Im sorry sir we just ran out of banana milk.", she apologized. Younha stopped in her tracks and looked at the unopened cup in her hands and rethinks her decision.

With a satisfactory nod, she turns to the man and taps on his shoulder. "Um excuse me sir?", she called out. The man looked behind to see younha and younha was shocked by his beauty.

He had dove black eyes and a bunny look on his face. His black hair with blue streaks were wavy and messed up but his well built body was giving a sports player vibe.

"I happened to have this last cup of banana milk latte and i thought that you should be the one to have it. I wanted to try something else but ended up getting this one bcz i drink this everyday.", she explained but didnt realized a small smile came over his face.

"Are you sure you want to give it to me?", he asked reassuring and younha nodded forwarding the cup for him to take it.

The man gently took the cup from her and took a sip which literally brang a look of happiness in his eyes and his face.

"Oh my god thankyou so much miss?", he asked her name, before younha could reply jihyo yelled out her name and they both looked at her with sudden amusement.

"Miss younha. Im jungkook, your a really kind woman thankyou.", he said but then he forgot something and gasped before reaching his pockets.

Younha looked at him with confusion and thats when she noticed that he took out his wallet. "Here's for the latte.", he said and took out the money.

"Oh no just keep it, your reaction was the thing i needed. It will keep me happy throughout the day.", she said refusing the money.

"No please i insist!", he said but then jihyo spoke. "Maybe you can get her a drink?", she suggested. Jungkook smiled but younha glared at her for giving such ideas and not helping her.

"Yeah shes right what would you like to have?", he asked her and because she couldnt stop him, so she spoke.

"One hot chocolate.", younha said and looked down. Jungkook nodded to jihyo and she went inside.

"Why would you do that?", she asked jungkook who was grinning and she saw how he gave the bunny smile.

"Just like how kind people treat others, similarly those kind people should also be given a royal treatment.", he said making younha blush.

Thats when jihyo came out and gave the hot chocolate to younha and jungkook paid for it.

They both went outside after their farewells to jihyo, they both stopped infront of younha's car.

"So this is it. It was really nice meeting you jungkook. I really appreciate for this.", she said and pointed to her cup.

"No i should be thankful to you for giving me your drink. Seriously no one does that for others.", he said and after bidding her off, jungkook walks down the street to the other side.

Younha sits in her car and drives to her university. It was empty around this time with only a certain number of people roaming around. She parks her car in the parking area and shivers from the sudden cold breeze.

"It has gotten alot more colder than last years....", younha said and quickly makes her way inside the building.

She heads towards the library first because she had to return a book she borrowed for an assignment. And fortunately the incharge was present this early.

"Good morning younha.", the librarian wished while assorting some papers on her desk.

"I wanted to return this book.", she said and handed over the book back to her. "Just a minute..", she said and logged in her computer to type something.

Younha looked around and saw a few empty boxes lying in the corner and became curious. "Are there any new books?", younha asked.

The librarian stopped her work and smiled at her and teasingly spoke. "Um there are 15 new books added in the fantasy fiction section you can go and look at them.", she said and suddenly younha's face lit up and went towards the shelves.

Looking around, younha's hands searched through the shelves touching each book and the fresh smell of the pages brang a delight to her face.

She loved to read and was excited to read the new books thats when her face became stern when her eyes rested on a old damaged book in the corner of the shelf that was glowing.

Younha thought she was just thinking but when she went closer, she wasn't hallucinating. The book was actually glowing.

Maybe the book had some sort of lights attached to it? But when younha took it out of the rack, it stopped glowing.

"The Elementals?", she read out the book title and tried to open the book but it wasnt opening. The pages were stuck tightly together as if they were attached with some sort of glue.

"Miss park this book is not right..", younha called out but then looked at the desk to see there was no one. Suddenly the book glowed again and started rumbling.

Younha became scared and worried and called out for the librarian because the shelves started trembling the books were shaking violently.

It was the effect of the book. Younha looked here and there but there was no one in the library. Just then the book sent out a bright light nearly blinding her and sent younha off from her feet and impacted against the wall.

She fell down on the tiles and hissed from the pain. The book was in the corner and everything had stopped. The book was not glowing anymore and the chaos had stopped.

Younha whimpered and went to the book and then she was confused when the book opened the front page. How could this happen?

This book was glowing and causing the other books to shake violently creating disturbance with its strong power. How is this possible?

She gulped and opened the front page but her eyes widened when she saw what was written on the book.
