Odin the King of Asgard vs Laufey the Frost Monarch

Location: Jotunheim

"We are here," Heimdall stated the chilly atmosphere now chilling his armour.

"Damn I hate this... Why in the nine realms is Jotunheim cold," A solder swore under his breath. The chilly atmosphere leaving their breath frosty.

"What not used to the frost? Are you going to cry? Might as well turn around and disgrace your whole family," Another teased.

"Disgrace? Haha, you got quite the tongue. Since when did Dendrid the weak get to speak?" The soldier taunted.

"That was one time! The mead was strong I tell, you strong!" The soldiers yelled.

"Quiet down," Heimdall ordered causing the soldier to immediately shut their mouths.

"Hmph, as I said, father. The soldiers are not even on my level. The frost is nothing to me," Hela replied hearing their banter.

"He has a point though... Jotunheim has become colder..." Odin muttered. Looking on the ground he saw footprints burnt into the stone pavement.

"Someone was here before us..." Odin replied looking at the print.

"Let us press onward... I have a feeling that Laufey wasn't just sitting around when we were invading the other realms," Odin explained to Hela and H-man.

Laufey with his newfound strength saw Odin and his army enter his realm. Seeing them from afar he locked gazes with Odin who smiled seeing him.

"Are the preparations complete Vokand?" Laufey asked.

"Of course," Vokand replied.

"Then lets us go forth?" Laufey commanded.

Marching with his army the Asgardians were shocked to find a whole new bunch of Frost giants. All 60ft tall they wore armour made of adamantine that was enhanced by the witches of the frost but the one that shocked them the most was Laufey who seemed to wield an incredible blade. The blade itself poured with power.

"It's been a while old friend..." Laufey called out to Odin.

"Silence thief... We were never friends," Odin replied angrily. His teeth clenching as he furrowed his brows.

"I'll only give you one chance Laufey! Surrender and we won't attack." Odin replied.

"Hmph, and sacrifice the freedom of my people?" Laufey snickered.

"You must be a fool to believe I would do such a thing. You Asgardians and your pride never fail to amaze me," Laufey continued raising his sword towards him.

"I'd rather die than serve under another," Laufey declared raising the morale of his people.

"This is the Laufey I know..." Vokand muttered smiling seeing her king. She knew what he did one hundred years ago was to save his people but it had been shocking to see his pride shattered instantly.

"Then you'll die," Hela stated rushing forward her soldiers rushing into battle as well. Attacking the giants they were all knocked back.

"Hela stop!" Odin stated.

"Hmph, as I thought." Laufey smiled. Looking at Odin he shook his head.

"Just as I said back then Odin! Your people are nothing but warmongers! You seek nothing but destruction. Like father like son!" Laufey exclaimed. His sword in hand slashed at Hela which was quickly blocked by Odin.

Odin now staring down Laufey walked in a circle as the soldier left them to fight alone. Interrupting their fight would be disrespectful to their king.

"Leave," Odin and Laufey stated simultaneously. Vokand looking at Hela attacked.

"How foolish. You think you can battle me?" Hela stated only to shot with a barrage of icicles.

"You think this is enough to combat me?" Hela taunted blocking the icicles only to be met with Vokands fist to the face. Knocked back, blood came from her nose.

"Hmph, weak," Vokand muttered only to be knocked back by an incredible force, the attack coming from her back.

"You caught me off guard giant do not expect it to happen again," Hela replied. Using her magic she pulled Vokand to the ground the gravity around her increasing by a hundredfold weakening her. Hela now with the upper hand rushed towards Vokhand.

Vokand expecting the incoming Hela conjured ice from the floor its sharp spikes nearly piercing her which she quickly removed by slicing it. Using it as a platform she jumped upward and sliced the shoulder of Vokand. Dodging the attack she was lucky to have her shoulder slashed and not her neck. Continuing their battle Hela slowly started to get the upper hand as she started to pull more power from her domain.

"Who's weak huh?" She smiled about to end Vokand only for Laufey to strike Execute Vokand. Laufey saddened by her continued his battle with Odin his strength now boosted. All the Asgardians who saw this though was shocked by Laufey killing Vorkand with no hesitation.

"Wha..." Odin muttered shocked.

"Her death will do more service under my blade," Laufey replied his attack speed and power increased. His power now overwhelming the bewildered Odin.

"Don't tell me that you sold your soul to that being..." Odin spat angered his strike becoming more deadly.

"Sell my soul? I would never. Though that Being? Huh, that man was no being. He was Force of absolute power amongst gods," Laufey replied.

"That being gifted me such strength at a whim! His power brought me to my knees, Odin! The flames and unrelenting power... It was dreadful," Laufey replied his swings increasing in pace as well.

"Demon! So you submitted to it? To think you drop so low as well?" Odin replied.

"Submit? Hmph, I had no choice. It was either I submitted or my Kingdom. I did what I had to do to protect my people. As a ruler of Asgard would you not do the same?" Laufey explained.

"But to become one of them?" Odin sighed.

"Them?" Laufey asked confused.

"So he doesn't tell you? Maliketh had given his soul away to gain such powers," Odin answered his blade about to reach Laufeys but was quickly knocked to the side.

"Maliketh? Ha! That being would never gift such a being. Though just remembering the flames of that being sent shivers down my spine... Enough of this nonsense I'll finish you off," Laufey spat as he rushed Odin with his blade.

"Then come!" Odin replied.

Clashing blades the might of each clash sent shockwaves throughout Jotunheim. The giants with their supreme strength and size were dominating the soldiers but were attacked by Hela and Hiedmal who controlled the flow of the battle. Hela fueled with Power wiped out a tenth of Laufeys army causing Laufey to be enraged.

Suddenly the sword exploded with a powerful might causing one seventh of Odins army to freeze, their body chilled to their very core. Hela seeing their souls being sucked into the blade was shocked. Instead of returning to Vahalla they were being consumed by Laufeys blade.

"You monster!" Hela shouted.

Odin noticing the casualties started to worry. Such an attack was too ruthless. To be able to decimate a seventh of his army? How powerfull.

"You Asagradrians and your wars! I will end this!" Laufey exclaimed, Frostmourne devouring the souls of the previously fallen smiled devilishly as It saw a new batch of souls enter it. Increasing his strength Frostmourne exploded with power and wrath.

Now overwhelmed Odin looked on with newfound determination. Activating the runes of his sword he clashed against Laufeys blade causing all those around them to be knocked back. Laufey managing to land a blow on Odin sent Odin staggering back his very soul being drained of power. Trying to activate rune the slashes of Laufey were getting more apparent as he started to burn through his Odinforce.

"How Vile," Odin muttered.

Odins hit from the attacks became slower and slower the power of Frostmourne eroding his physical body slowly. Odin tiring out fell to the ground. Hela seeing this rushed forward only to be stopped by Heimdall who pulled her back. The battle had come a stand still as they watched on at their kings. Both looked on anticipation. Some were cursing while others were cheering on. The later being all of the Frost giants.

"What are you doing!" Hela screeched.

"This is not the time for your bickering Hela. Leave them. This is your fathers will," Heimdall replied looking on. He while similar in strength to Odin did not want the burden of leading the people. Instead he would rather watch over them. It was far easier with less stress, he had seen it from Odin himself. So much pressure, so many people looking up to him for guidance and strength. How bothersome. So looking at Odin defeated he started to ponder Career choices.

"I will give you one chance and one chance only. Leave with your army and never return." Laufey replied his blade by the the neck of Odin. The sword power of corruption had caught him off guard.

"I'd rather die than lose my honour to a monster like you. Kill me," Odin replied his body tiring on the ground defeated. While the Odinforce was attempting to recover his power it could not do it at a proper rate.

"So be it," Laufey muttered about to decapitate Odin but stopped, a distant memory resurfacing.

"No... I shall spare your life... Just as you did once," Laufey muttered slashing the arm of Odin off.

"Leave and never come back because if you do I swear on the nine realms I will not stop with your Life," Laufey stated staring at Hela. Hela looking back spat on the ground before gazing back into the crimson eyes of Laufey who only snickerred back. Turning his back he ordered his people to return to their kingdom.

"Return! This war is over!" Laufey commanded, causing all the giants to pick up their wounded combatants. Laufeys word had become law what he did or said was absolute. No more room for questioning only his decree. He had no longer became a king to his people but a god.

"I have spared your life as you did mine, Odin. A life for a life. My Debt has been paid." Laufey explained leaving the fallen Odin.

"I did not spare you Laufey..." Odin muttered angrily.

"Hmph, of course. Is that why your father came crashing to Jouithiem when we were young? To say Hello? There is no need for further bloodshed Odin. I have seen wrath it its purest form. That being offered me the light for with his flame and he carved a new era for my people. Just his mere presence sent me crashing to the ground. Do not be fooled Odin I did not sell my soul to it, it was honored by my preservance and blessed me for my courage," Laufey explained walking away. Odin getting up walked to his people.

"Father!" Hela asked rushing towards him.

"Silence!" Odin shouted.

"Father..." Hela muttered confused.

"You have greatly disappointed me..." Odin muttered shaking his head. While he had come to Joiutihielm he had no longer seemed for out right war. He was seeking to conquer the nine realms to protect the realm, his people yet he failed again. His pride had gotten the best of him and had his daughters.

"I must go Heimdall. Look over Asgard. I require more power..." Odin stated teleporting elsewhere.

"Hiemdall why is he so angry and how come you were so strong? You never fought me like that." Hela asked bewildered. Hiemdall teleporting everyone back to Asgard sat beside the throne as he sat down shaking his head.

"You intiated combat without your fathers premsion and caused one seventh of our army to perish. The Frost giants while chaotic in nature were once friend with your father... You initiated a war which we lost. Your father came to Joutihiem to conquer it but changed his mind when he noticed the shift in Joutiem. He now sought answers which he may never get..." Hiedmall explained as he started to rub his brows.

"And now you've increased my workload... How tiresome..." Hiedmall responded. No longer could he laugh at the foolish mistakes of some Asgardians, now he had too actually do his job and educate them. Hela deep in thought started to clench her fist in anger.

"I can fix this. I just need to get stronger," Hela muttered.

"No you can't," Heimdall replied about too leave.

"You know you never told me why you were holding back..." Hela stated her blade drawn out.

"True," Heimdall replied teleporting away.
