DANGEON EXPEDITION (FIRST FLOOR)
The group met with the other students of school C. The whole of school C were gathered and ready to go out. The weekly expeditions were made in such a way that all schools had a specific day they could go on their expedition. Every group in school C was given a teleportation device that would teleport them to a specific dangeon owned by their school. Every school was put in charge of ten dangeons and every group within that school was in charge of one dangeon which they would clear every week on a specific day. Humanity hadn't been able to research interplanetary teleportation so ships were still needed to travel from planet to planet.
John's team ended up with a dangeon called The Cloverfield dangeon. It is a ten floor dangeon filled mostly with rank C beasts, every floor contains a hundred of the same beasts designated to that floor. The students were given a briefing before they left, the teleportation devices had a time limit of twelve hours, the students would live at eleven in the morning and will automatically be teleported back if
1. They're lives were in danger
2. The dangeon was cleared
3. The time limit was up
If a team manages to clear a dangeon they would end up with 1,000 origin crystals and one boss crystal. No matter how much how many crystals a team would make in the dangeon, considering some teams might not be able to clear their dangeons, ten percent of the origin crystals will be submitted to the military, the students were free to do whatever they wanted with the boss crystal they will gain, if a dangeon is fully cleared up it would require a one day rest period before it could be cleared again and after the expedition every team would be given a different version of the teleportation devices with no time limit and a transport on will button and will have access to the dangeons anytime they want other than a day before and after a dangeon. The students were also given storage accessories that could store items within a three meter cubic space. With everything set the various groups activated their teleporters and were transported into their assigned dangeons.
The first floor of the Cloverfield dangeon was a very wide desert area that had no end. There was nothing particularly remarkable about the floor and there were no beasts in site. "Wow, I wasn't expecting anything in particular but this was not what I imagined." Mickey said. "Yeah and where are the beasts were supposed to be fighting." John asked. "Maybe they live underground." Pedro said and as if to prove his theory, a deep rumbling sound came from the ground. Then three whirlpools appeared in a triangle around the group and out came three giant centipedes covered in hard armour platings and flashing their very sharp claws in the sun. "Wow Pedro, you jinxed it." Mickey said. One of the centipedes moved fast towards the person that just spoke who happened to be Mickey, when it was close enough it swung it's sharp claws at him but what followed was the sound of two metals clanging followed by Jake rapping his strings around the centipedes head and slamming it into the ground. Mickey quickly activated his ability through his legs freezing the centipede's head and a small area around it. One of the other centipedes moved towards the group from behind but it didn't get far before a giant purple smokey hand grabbed it's head and surrounded it with a thick poisonous fog. After some time the centipede fell to the ground dead. The third one tried to help it's friends but as it moved forward it sensed something coming towards it at a high speed, it moved it's head to the right at the last second and three silver shards whisked past it's head, it then sensed one of it's friends dying from the poisonous fog and opened it's mouth to roar but no sound came out, instead multiple shards started flying in and stopped at the thirtieth mark before bursting out of it's stomach in all directions, splitting it in half. "I thought you were able to control fifty of those things." Coby said. "Yeah I am, but why tire yourself before the fun even begun." John replied. "That was fun?" Pedro asked. Mickey and Jake just shook their heads and laughed. Just then more rumbling was heard and mounds of sand started moving in their direction numbering between twenty and twenty six. "Oh no." Jake said. Mickey stepped forward and activated his innate skill freezing the whole area leading up to the twenty five centipedes coming and the ice caused all the centipedes to climb up and moved on the ice instead. The sand under their feet rumbled and they all jumped in different directions only for one of the giant centipedes to burst out from where they were standing one second later. Pedro landed a distance away but the centipede followed suit, it rushed towards him but stopped a few meters away and all of a sudden instead of attacking him it brought it's head down and allowed him to sit, Pedro had successful taken control of the centipede. More were rushing towards the group and it wasn't long before Pedro's ride was forced to fight.
Five centipedes rushed towards Coby but when the first one reach ten meters a giant purple smokey hand grabbed it but unlike before the hand changed states from gas to liquid and fully covered the centipede's body, two more centipedes came close to the first one and the purple liquid split up and covered both of them, the first centipede was dead. The other two dropped to the ground and died, Coby then brought the liquid beside him. "John said something about how to control those shard thingys." Coby said. The blobs of liquid by his side separated into smaller versions and started shaping itself like the shards, the liquids then changed to solid after they were done reforming. The last two centipedes rushed towards Coby and he tried to replicate John's shard control but he was so bad that half the shards flew in random directions and the other half just fell to the ground. "Damn, that thing is harder to do than it looks, I guess I'll just have to kill them my way." Coby said before a liquid pillar with a sharp pointed solid tip pieced one centipede and the second one got covered with purple liquid poison.
After Coby killed the five centipedes fifteen more centipedes appeared in the opposite direction of the first group increasing the number of centipedes to thirty five. The group had only killed eight.
Mickey had been unfortunate enough to land in front of the first group of centipedes, all twenty centipedes that were left started rushing towards him and he was forced to use his ultimate skill, [Absolute Zero]. Using his ultimate skill he created an ice dome around him and just waited. Outside, one of the centipedes slashes at the ice dome but what it didn't expect was for it's entire claw to freeze, the ice then spread to it's entire body and within five seconds it was frozen, the ice then spread into the ground and everything that entered an area of fifty meters around the ice dome would be frozen. This included all the centipedes that were rushing towards him. Not a single one escaped.
John and Jake were theoretically the safest and luckiest of the group as they landed opposite the rushing centipedes. That luck ran out when Coby killed five centipedes as there were fifteen centipedes rushing towards both of them. They were not doing as good as the others, Jake's strings weren't overly offensive and John's ability delt with energy while these were physical type beasts. As the beasts rushed forward John also dashed towards the stampede and Jake followed just to support John. About ten meters before the big clash John leaped into the air, spread out his arms and started spinning, as his speed increased he surrounded himself with forty shards making him look like a spintop, he then had the last ten shards he had act like a spin platform that was also spinning. Then, the big clash happened, centipede body parts were flying through the air left and right, then when John got to the back of the stampede he released his shards while still flying and using his control and element he managed to pull himself backwards while taking up the same formation, he finished off all the stranglers and managed to stop himself from falling albeit with the help of Jake who was still flabbergasted at what he just witnessed.
Pedro was doing basically nothing until John finished his little show, as soon as John was done more rumbling insured and seven centipedes surrounded him, with everything he had he took control of two more centipedes and sent the three of them to battle while he would use the little energy he has left to redirect attacks that he could. His tamed beasts were faster and stronger than they were when he didn't tame them therefore one could handle two normal centipedes at once although mortality rate is higher. He distracted one centipede while his tamed finish the other four. They then finished off the one he was distracting, but they were heavily damaged.
The group was in for a whole other type of problem as the loudest rumbling they had felt so far occurred, a distance away from the group there were fifty marching centipedes, they were not underground like always, instead they were marching on top of the group. "Ok guys, you might want to step back a bit." Coby said. He starts moving towards the army but the distance was very significant. "Need a lift? My little buddies here can help you." Pedro said as one of the tamed centipedes moved to Coby's side and layed it's head on the ground gesturing for Coby to sit. Coby sat down and the centipede went underground. A few moments later the centipede jumped over the army Coby waited until they were just above the center of the army to activate his ultimate skill [Poison Kingdom]. Then the centipede re-entered the ground and Coby appeared by his friends' sides. Giant purple trees and flowers started growing around the army, vines started crawling across the bodies of the centipedes and a very deep purple smoke surrounded the whole place, no one could see into the forest. Then seconds later loud roars, wails and dying cries rang out in the desert as the students tried to see what was going on. When everything died down and the forest disappeared there was nothing there by origin cores. The centipedes had been melted. The group gathered all origin cores dropped by the centipedes, since most of the centipedes died in ways that made it impossible to extract any materials the group just gathered at where they had first appeared. A blue dangeon crystal appeared, everyone touched it at the same time and a blue glow surrounded them as they disappeared from that floor.
