A Thousand Deaths.

Megan regained herself, only for an Unfriendly to bash her skull in.

She opened her eyes again, only to have her body torn apart by another one's horn.

Opening her eyes again, she was crushed by the body of another Unfriendly.

This went on again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.

Each time more harrowing and painful than the last.

She knew she had not died yet, but was simply hallucinating as her life was coming to an end.

But her soul did not rest.

It couldn't rest.

Not until she had killed the Unfriendly that had done her squad in.

None of them, apart from Major, had survived and she had sworn to avenge them all.

Once again, she opened her eyes only to see herself on back on top of the Unfriendly's horn.

She could feel her torn heart and her dying organs,

She smirked darkly in pain and agony as she gathered her energy into her eight cores.

"Die, bastard!!"

using all her life energy for one last attack, she let out a burst of energy that destroyed everything within a five mile radius.

However it destroyed her body too.

She had truly died, and so had the Unfriendly.

She could finally find peace.

Death was nothing like Morgan had expected.

She had expected it to be cold and painful, but instead it was warm, soft and comfy.

"Meg Meg!" A woman's voice called.

"Come down for breakfast!"

"Meg Meg?!!"

Megan repeated in her head.

She hated that name.

It was what her deceased parents had usually called her.

But somehow, for some reason, her mouth moved on it's own.

"Coming Mum!"

She opened her eyes to an unfamiliar and yet very familiar room.

She tilted her head in confused suprise.

"Where am I, i know I died,...or was it all just a bad dream?"

If it was, then she should be in the AFA quarters or at least in the infirmary.

Walking into the bathroom to wash her face out of habit, she looked into the mirror.

"The actual F*ck?!!!"

Looking into the mirror, instead of the familiar stunning red eyed face with a short boyish haircut, D-Cup sized chest and the scar that crossed over her left cheek which she thought made her look cool, Megan saw the face of a young teenage girl with pretty red eyes, a freakishly flat chest and long black hair that fell past her shoulders.

"How is this even possible!, I waited years to grow those boob...I mean I've spent twenty years working out to get my body into top condition!!"

"What's wrong Meggie?"

A familiar yet not so familiar older girl had asked.

She smirked as she shook her huge chest at the shell struck teenage girl.

"Don't fret, yours will never get as big as these anyway,..."

"...and besides, don't you have much bigger things to worry about...like, I don't know, entering the A F A today.

you do remember it's today.

Right, little sis?."

"Y-yes. Yes i do".

Megan turned deathly pale as she turned back and walked down the stairs into the dining room.

'I think i've been sent fifteen years back into the friggin past'.

Megan had always been hailed as one of the geniuses of her generation, so she had quickly come to a realization.

She had been sent into the past!

However, there were still very many flaws with this theory.

Firstly, as of when she was a child, the war was still raging hard against the Unfriendlies, and so there were no homes for people at all.

Almost all civilian People had lived in temporary Awakened shelters as the Unfriendlies could attack the vicinity at any moment.

Secondly, She had never had a sister as people could not have time or the privacy to even do that during the war.

And thirdly, she did not have her treasured right cheek scar.

She had gotten it at three years of age while fighting a huge bulldog that had attacked a wounded Awakened.

She still saw it as a trophy of her first achievement against another living creature.

So she came to a new conclusion.

She had been reincarnated into another body.

This she was sure of as the anguish of watching...or at least hearing her comrades screaming while they were murdered did not hurt her that much when she remembered it anymore, meaning that some time must have passed.

It was probably a lot.

It still gave her heart aches when she thought about it, but it was now very, very dull.

Like the faint scar of an almost healed wound.

She was now in the body of a young teenage girl who was literally a reincarnation of her previous self, and her soul had laid dormant for years until now when the most hurtful part of her past life unlocked her sealed memories.

It was a sound theory that made a lot of sense.

After all, weirder things had happened.

How else would everything look so familiar, yet she did not know it?

She had absorbed the memories of this life too.

But it also led to many other intriguing questions.

Did Reyanolda and the rest get reincarnated too?

How many years had she stayed dead?

How old was she in this life before she unlocked her past memories?

And most importantly,

DID SHE STILL HAVE EIGHT CORES?!!!!

She had spent a better part of her 25 years on Earth training hard to form her other seven Mana cores.

She was just one core away from becoming an Awakened sovereign and she would not be able to bear it if she were to go back to square one, an Awakened Human.

If she even still had her abilities, that was.
